Hey! Anyone been to Canada from the US?

I am 17 years old, have a valid Michigan Enhanced ID, and a Military ID, as well as a birth certificate and social security card and all that.

I am going to college and am very far away from home. My friends and I were planning on taking a day-trip to Canada this weekend.

I have heard in many places that I need a notarized permission slip from my parents to go. Is it still applicable if I am a 17-year-old college student? Do I really need one of those notes? I'll be in a car full of adults.

I think if you're just doing

I think if you're just doing a day-trip all you need is your passport. I suggest you check the government website to double check, but I don't think you need to worry too much about it. Smiling From the sounds of it you have a lot of ID with you, so I don't think you should have much trouble, especially if you're with a lot of adults.
