"Murder is not murder"
"if you are protecting yourself, or another" its own eyes raised to the sky, gazing at it for a few moments.
"When people leave, our hearts stay beside them. I, being down here, is much the same. I am not...real" its eyes slowly opened and closed.
"I am there. But like the heart of a lost love, I am here as well" it said softly, as if it were the most simple thing in the world.
"by existing, we all, shape the world. In existing, you have changed lives, for better, or worse. it is all, note, worthy" it whispered.
soft sweet melancholy smile.
"It wasn't like it mattered.
"They thought it was wrong... That's why I'm here..." he whispered, and placed his small head on the sky's side, flicking his ears as he listened.
"'Real'... What is it? I sense you, I can touch you, and I can feel your warmth. As odd as your seperate presences may be, you have manifested yourself into a physical form." he closed his eyes, feeling quite safe around the creature now. "To me, you are real."
A small, almost barely noticable smile played across his features. Yes... He would admit... That he had 'changed' some people.
"we all die eventually" it
"Real, is whatever you wish it to be" it turned its head to the statues of the twin gods, then down once more to the fawn that lay beside him.
"a parent's rage is great" it smiled slowly, "but so too is a parent's love" its eyes closed, humming again for a short time.
"you are one of their children now. And while it may not feel like it" he touched his muzzle to the fawn's head once more.
"they love you, endlessly"
Bartleby scowled up at them,
He shook his head. "That is not how it works. As a human, It was constantly drilled into my head that there are not only five basic senses, but at least twelve. I'm sensing your heat. That is a sense. I know ghosts exist here, but they are not 'real'. I see them, yes, but I cannot touch them or smell them." he rambled on.
"you cannot touch, cannot
"and yet you know it is real, do you not?" the being looked down slowly.
"you will die. When it is your time" it raised its head once again.
"some of us just leave a little later than others" Devokara breathed, that soft cold breath.
"I have never felt wrath"
"That... that is
The sky was always right...
(Ding dong, the man is dead. The man is dead.)
He shook his head, clearing his mind and looking up at him. "Surely you must get angry sometimes..." he mumbled, staring at him in curiosity.
"Maybe someday... when I lose all sanity and emotions. Someday I'll just whither away. I won;t be dead in the physical sense... but I might as well be."
"I have never felt anger,
"...maybe...and I will still come, and I will still love you, as I love all the children who live beneath the sky"
it sighed, slowly as ever, deflating slowly.
"you are so much more than you think"
He thought for a moment.
He laughed softly at his comment. Odd, he would not admit it. Not just yet, but he did feel a sort of instinctive love for this being. Like a child to his mother. He couldn't explain it, but it was there all the same.
He closed his eyes. "What, then? As a human, I was just a waste of sickly flesh. I... I couldn't do much... And now I'm just an adult trapped in a fawn's body." he turned to it. "How is that a worthwhile existance?"
"I have nothing to fear" it
"we make our own existance worth something" its movement stopped, tilting its head for a moment.
"had you not existed then, you would not be here" anothr touch of muzzle to snowy white fur.
"And I would be very alone"
Hm... I perhaps wanna try out
Just... maybe, maybe not. :'D
If you want then anyway... >__<
Sonata~ He thought for a
He thought for a moment, and knew that the creature was right. Without him, the dogs would have died in the pound he had found them in. Malware would have lived a miserable life in the forest. His sister would have been institutionalized. Alaska would have never 'felt'. The Priest would have never helped him. And Jergens would have, more than likely, died on the streets.
Yes, he had changed lives, hadn't he? It was too obvious to notice, really, all hidden under his very nose.
"I am just one of many, though." he murmured, pressing against it's touch, lightly leaning in on him.
"I'm... sorry..." why was he apoligizing? There was no reason for it, nothing he had done wrong. And yet... he felt like he had to.
Munkel~ OH GOD YES. I just have to have it take place when Bartleby is still alive. Otherwise, he'll probably flirt with him. That would not be good xD. But otherwise, I think it would be fun :3
o: ok mwaha x'DDD
...someone would kill him |D
...though this would be fun as well /shot
haha anyway ok then ; )
I don't want to get on that
Heehee~ Now I have something else to look forward too. :3
Well... it would only be on

"and if one goes missing, the line, breaks" its head tilted back, looking up at the sky, though its body seemed to push the daylight away, it still seemed...warmed, happy.
"and all are lost" it rose slowly to its hooves.
"walk with me, my child, for I wish to show you something"
Sonoatters~ "That line...
"That line... It's broken many times before, hasn't it?" he asked curiously.
Something to show? The little white fawn awkwardly stood up, still leaning into his new companion for support. His hooves... Why did they feel so much heavier now? Their weight could fluctuate... One day they would be light as a feather, and the next they would be heavy as lead.
It was the God's way of teasing him, he supposed.
He lifted a hoof, very, very slowly... And laborously started to follow the night sky. Panting... Sweat beading out on his furry forehead.
Wish slipped quickly down the

Willykins~ ((Pfft...
((Pfft... Cute...))
Jergens lightly jingled a tin cup in front of him as he oh-so-pathetically begged for change, the sudden young voice making him snap his head down.
"Hey squirt. What'cha doin' out here all by yerself?" he asked, a friendly grin spreading across his face. He squatted down so that he could be at the kid's shorter eye level. Hmm... Not very nice clothing... He wondered where he came from.
"Ya lost or somthin'? Ya know it ain't a good idea to talk to strangers." he cautioned him, shaking his head seriously to emphasize his point.
Despite how much of a jerk he could be, Jergens liked kids. Really. Actually, he had always kinda wanted to adopt one or somthin'. Too bad he didn't have a home to do it.
Wish smiled his fang filled
Willykins!! I FEEL THA LUFF!
Willykins~ ((GOOD. NOW GO
((GOOD. NOW GO MAKE ME A SANDWICH, WUMMUN >:3 *brick'd*))
Jergens raised an eyebrow and stared at him for several long minutes, as if processing this new information. You could almost hear the hamster running on it's wheel in his head.
This little squirt is just like me...
But... What kind of heartless person would abandon a little kid like this? Jergens was twelve when he was booted out, sure, but at least he was at an age where he could have had a chance to survive. This kid, on the other hand, didn't even look half that age.
"Kid... How come ya ain't dead, yet? The streets are chopped with bad people out there..." he mumbled, feeling a little sorry for him.
Wish blink and said completly
Willykins~ ((O-O ... I spat
((O-O ... I spat my drink out at that little remark...))
Jergens suppresed a little twitch a that little golden gem of a remark. He really hoped that this kid wasn't being serious. Then again, homelessness did some pretty crappy stuff to you.
"Nice attitude, kid, really. But come on, whaddya do when a bad person comes up and points a gun at ya? Kinda helpless in that situation, dont'cha think?" he chuckled a little when the kid ruffled his own curly red hair, not really minding in the least.
"God, yer a little trip, aren't ya?"
Wish gigeled "Oh I dont like
(PSh yeah I forgot to metion he ca EASLY kil people! yyyeeaahhh...well im happy that I can get good reactions"!)
Willykins~
((FFFFFF...))
Okay, now he did flinch, but it wasn't noticable, just a little shiver along his thin body, as if he were cold.
He still didn't really take the kid seriously, though. Who would?
"Don't call me 'mister', kid. Yer makin' me feel old. Name's Jergens." he lightly ruffled the other's hair in return, a bit curious of how... odd it looked.
"Don't think like that, either. The correct answer is to run like yer ass is on fire, not to... do... whatever ya just said." he chuckled nervously.
Wish gigeled and placed
"It's a shame you don't like
But I'm sure you would never oblige...pity"
Jo may be getting a little too sentimental in this rain.
OH WELL. YOU UP FOR IT?
Willykins~
OhsweetmercifuljebasswhatisUPwiththiskid?!
Jergens screamed, actually screamed in surprise. He didn't scream. Ever.
Except now.
"N-Nice trick... Got anything else up yer sleeves?" he almost regretted asking.

Fofo~
"...I've always wanted to have kids of my own... y'know?" an awkward glance to the ground.
"Nanny? Hell no. Guardian?" a wide, almost ludicrously happy grin spread across his face.
"I think I could take it up"
OH HELL YEA
That is, of course, you ya don't mind~ hehehe~
His kitten in his poket began

"Good. Play nice now...or Momma Jojo will has a serious talk with you, lotion boy,"
Weeee~ She's got enough 'guardians' already, but the more the merrier c:.

Jergens shifted his position so that he was sitting cross-legged, staring at this kid with a look that could only be a combination of fear and amusment, if such a look existed
His lips curled into a small smile when he saw the kitten. He liked cats. Cute little buggers. He raised an eyebrow and held out his hand, not even paying attention to the boy's chant.
"HERE KITTY KITTY..." He suddenly paused and held up his hands to his ears. What the... Why...
Quite a few people were giving him some nasty looks nearby, not that Jergens cared. But still...
What the hell...
Fofo~ "I'll ignore that
"I'll ignore that comment in honor of the slightly larger slice of respect I have for ya..."
WHOOO!!! *fist pump*
I HAVE JOINED TEH FRAY! :'D
Wish gigeled when his spell
Willykins~ Jergens wasn't
Jergens wasn't angry with him, but he was confused. What was this kid, anyway? More people stared at him, even his breathing had been amplified.
"YA MIND TURNING THAT OFF, KID?" he asked, wincing at his own loud voice.
Wish frowned the waved his
Willykins~ He felt a little
He felt a little twinge of guilt, and lightly pat the kid on his back, smiling at him warmly. No foul kid. I ain't mad, I'm just... a little surprised, yeah?" he chuckled and ruffled the other's hair again, quite enojying the company.
But still... Whywas he all alone out here?
He decided to risk asking. "So what's yer story? We ruffians, we all have em'" true, he was already thinking of the boy as a sort of 'brother'.
"My mommy tryed to kill me so
"...now, now, this won't do,
"the day shines now" it stated, "But the night, the twilight is mine" it smiled, slowly, looking up at the fawn before raising its head.
"I would like for you, to run beside me at the night's fall" it smiled, sitting down once more, not wanting to overwork the fawn.
"and so long as you have my blessing, as the night falls, so too shall your weight" it tilted its head in that odd way it had.
"and you shall shoot, my little star"
beneath the night sky, everything was his.
The twin gods themselves would not dare dispute that.
Willykins~ Yeah. The kid had
Yeah. The kid had lost him pretty much after the first few words. Jergens couldn't read, so he never really knew the Merlin and whatnot. If he did, then he probably would have understood a little better.
But he didn't, it just completly flew over him.
He hid his ignorance behind a classic Jergens grin. "Sure kid, whatever ya say." he chuckled brightly.
Sonatters~
Bartleby paused, and cautiously lifted a shining hoof, gasping slightly as he found that it wasn't just normally light, no.
It was almost as light as the night air itself.
He flicked an ear, and smiled up at the being, complete love and trust filling him. "Yes. Run with you? If you want, then I will."
Running, something that his human self probably would have enjoyed if it hadn't made him spew blood when after just a little bit of it. He bitterly sighed at the thought.
"patience" it turned its head
When at last the sun sank below the horizon it rose to its hooves.
And oh was he not magnificent?
The sky is most beautiful at night after all.
Hooves pressed flat, strong to the ground, no longer delicate.
Its eyes seemed to shine, truly they were as if stars set into the being's head in place of eyes, burning and bright.
The weight of the sky melted away from its head, a flurry of brilliance and stars in the place of the great horns, galaxies streamed behind him.
the sun, bright, brilliant star of the day, took its humble place upon the ethreal being's tail, set upon a long string of dark fur, the stars upon its hide glowing crimson.
"shoot, child"
Its voice no longer whispered, but resounded, from the sky, the air itself was alive with the power of it all.
it tossed its head, once hung down ears not budging from their place held aloft, once pale yellow, sickly, undersides, glowing, a perfect pair of crescent moons.
Its hooves thundered easily against the ground, but not a blade of grass seemed to be torn from its place.
and all the while, it kept close eye on the fawn, making sure not to get too far ahead, smile, ever peaceful, set upon its face.
Wish gigeled "How bout you
Going to bed...anwser you first thing in morn!
Sonata~ ((BY THE WAY: I was
Bartleby watched the transforation as if in a dreamy trance. Surely such things didn't exist... But why would one question something so graceful, and yet so magnificant?
He flinched at it's new voice, yet trembled with a new energy. Energy... Another thing he had lacked as a human...
And when Devokara had raced off. When he had almost flown into the night air, he followed.
He was an awesome sight to behold, a flashing dart of white as little glits of gold fluttered beneath him. He darted from side of the creature to the other, a bright, joyous laughter bubbling from him.
Laughter without coughing. Running without gasping.
He was flying...
Willykins~ ((Comment ninja...))
Jergens blinked, and thought about it for a while. Jebass... what could he tell him? This was just a little kid. How could tell him about all the... lovely stuff that had happened to him?
"Um... My parents kicked me out..." he left it at that.
Seriously, what else?
((sure 8D hmmm now who to use
The deity smiled, racing easily over the ground, perfectly in sync with the little white fawn.
"so much more than you know" that voice again.
"shoot, little star, for so long as the night sky lays above, you are under my protection" it bounded onwards.
"we will meet again" stars glimmering behind it.
"until then" it flashes easily out of sight, leaving nohing but its voice and the fading gleaming of the brilliant pink and purple and starlight behind it as it ran ahead.
"don't break the line"

Bartleby silently watched as it bounded off, not even attempting to keep with it's increasing speed. He did, however, continue to run. Complete adrenaline taking over, his breath panting, but not tired.
Running... Running...
thumpthump... thumpthump...
He thought as he ran. The few good things that had happened to him... They alone were worth living for.
Yes... He really was more.
One could watch the hooves in the distance, their shine the last to dissapear from view.
((fff... Gotta sleep now anyway x3))
((I doubt he would get angry
hmmmmmmmm))
(BACK AGAIN YAY you be
you be lucky. My bro has ADHD so he basically counts as 8 children rolled up in one.)
Finn promptly shoved the wallet into his back pocket and sat down on it, his confident smile holding a challenge. "Try me."
The young man's expression changed quickly, realizing what Jergens was speaking of. "Oh, you mean those balloon thingies?"
"Have you tried looking her up? What's her name?"Finn's train of thought quickly took over, without even allowing Jergens the time to respond to his ballon question.
Sonata~ ((Ah... *Checks list*

Hallows~ (BUT I'M SO LONELY ;; Hur...)
Jergens suppresed a forehead slap. Sweet god, this kid was dense, wasn't he? He decided not to comment on that little golden gem of a comment. Instead he just answered Finn's next question. "Her names Olay. Nice and stupid, just like mine." he chuckled bitterly.
Why were all of them named after lotion brands?
He pat Finn's shoulder and hoisted him up in a standing position, letting him stay there while he walked to the other side of the room. "I can't steal from ya when yer sitting down. It dosen't work like that. Come on, walk towards me, and walk to so so that we cross paths. Pickpocketing involves passive stealing. If you feel me start to take it from you, then tell me." Jergens ruffled his hair and smiled at Finn. He jjust loved showing off his abilities.
(oh oh, I'm in the process of
Deer or Human is fine<3)
