How do you see love in The Forest?

Is your mate a best, best friend of all best friend?
Or genuinely something more?
Or a guide to help you through the Forest, and help you?

A question that's been wandering through my mind.

Well, Loop's relationship is still developing, but I'd say mates in the Forest are most like...eh. Lesee. Friends come and go as your deer get acquainted with others, but a mate is someone who will always be there (at least until the relationship ends). They won't fade out of your deer's life or turn on them, or anything of the sort.
...Does this have anything to do with Lieka's depression? :3

That makes sense, thought it would be something like that.
As for the question, well, three things. One: Unfortunately, I have no social life, or any wish to have a social life, with anyone outside of the Forest. Two: I think I'm in trouble, and have done for far too long. >.< Three: I'm trying, and failing, to not be selfish.

I have no social life

I have no social life either. Although for the first time I stayed out until late today with my friends. E_E

Personally I see mates as just that one friend a bit more special. I wouldn't make Walter fall in love with anyone if they hadn't done something to earn his love (Yes, he can love!). For example, Walter loves 21 because of their connection and their communication abilities. ^_^ He hasn't made such a development with others, and with the length of time that they've known and spent with one another, it's only fair that Walter would be in love with her. =D
