Ok so…this was very spur of the moment XD’ So if it seems random it’s because it was, but…I felt an overpowering urge to write it anyways ^^’ Mainly because I’ve always felt this way on the subject, and recently I’ve had some…new experiences in the forest with friendship I would like to get off my chest. BUT! Instead of just going on a rant and pointing fingers and all that unnecessary-ness, I thought instead I would write it as a simple, happy advice blog, MAINLY because I know I can’t be the only one who feels this way. Surely I’m not the only insecure one out there? XD Hopefully it will do more positive then negative because I don’t think we really need more negative at the moment…

Anyways, this is written mostly by my characters so there may be differences in opinion, obviously. If YOU have some friend advice, or heck any sort of advice to other players and their characters out there do not hesitate to post them as a reply to this!

- Why not come and greet me and say hello? Of course this is a two way street, but if I’m the one who always goes running to you, something’s wrong. Are you busy when I log in and can’t leave where you are? Give me a shout out, or as I see it, an invitation to come find you. If I answer back, consider it ‘invitation received’ and it’s up to me to accept it and find you or not.

- I understand you want some alone time with your mate sometimes, and that just because I’m on doesn’t meant you want to spend every minute with me. I’m perfectly happy to give you your space, but please don’t be rude about it. Do not pretend I’m not there or refuse to get up when I approach. Give me a bow or a nuzzle, then continue what you were doing. Chances are, I’ll get the hint and go find something else to do.

- I might be depressed/sick/injured [most likely expressed by the sad emote, a limp, or otherwise] and my mood may be suffering . Please be considerate of me. I know you want to have a good time and I’m understanding of that, but I could use some companionship today. Maybe you could find time for me? Sometimes I might be an inconvenience, and how you deal with that will show me how great a friend you are, or are not.

- While I respect you and your mate/other friends I’m not associated with and am happy to give you time with them…I don’t like feeling like the third wheel all the time. If you spent the day with your mate/ other friends yesterday, why not give me a shot today? Or at least invite me to join in the group and help me feel included? I don’t alike always being ditched for others.

- On the same note, there are some days I may just not be as hyper or playful as I usually am. Maybe my player is tired and just wants me to sit a while. If I do take breaks or sit down while my friends are playing, please don’t feel you have to stop what you’re doing and sit, too. I would rather you guys have your fun and it makes me feel bad when you feel you have to stop.

- If we’re playing together, and you notice one of your other friends is on, it hurts my feelings when just run off to greet them and leave me behind. Why not invite me to follow along? I might not know if you want me to or not and feel awkward chasing after you. If I don’t get the hint to follow, you could always bring your friend back to me instead of leaving me hanging.

- Don’t feel just because I’m standing around somewhere means I want to be there! Don’t be afraid to move around, go for a run, or seek out another group of deer to join. Just don’t leave me in the dust, ok? If I fall behind, it’d be nice if you waited for me to catch up.

- - It really upsets me if we’re having a good time and your mate/best friend comes up and you run to them and hide behind them as if you need protection from me. Don’t walk off together as though I didn’t exist, and don’t let your mate shoo me off and stand there and do nothing while they do. This is NOT what friends do under ANY circumstances.
