Scythe introduced me to this game a few days ago, and since then I've become addicted with it. So I wanted to make a blog for us TEF members who are playing. Basically, it's a game all about raising a clan of dragons and battling with them Pokemon style.

You choose from 11 different elements at the beginning, and depending on which you pick, your first dragons will be that element. You have your own dragon god and area on the map based on your element, and you can breed dragons to build your clan and trade with others.

If you're a member and want to be on the list, let me know your username and element and I'll add you. (A link to your clan profile really helps me for linking purposes

) I've got a bunch of TEF members on my friends list on Flight Rising but I'd rather you let me know you want to be on the list than just add you without permission.

Thoughts on the crackle gene

Thoughts on the crackle gene overall, anyone?

For me personally, it's like circuit and gembond - it looks perfect on only a handful of dragons. It's too busy and unappealing outside of that. My biggest concern is that it'll greatly lower the value of the other genes, and with the economy as bad as it is, I would hate to have tp sell a triple gened Imp right now.

I was put off by it at first,

I was put off by it at first, but it's fun and does some unexpected things. Like you said it's very specific though and pretty loud. I'd rather have seen something simplistic like Underbelly which would've been more versatile. Maybe Points or Ghost. (here) I don't think this new gene is gonna do much damage to gene values though.

Mjrn: I agree, the crackle can look really cool depending on the dragon (or horrible), but I find that it really looks better on certain breeds also. It has an awesome effect on female ridgebacks and guardians, but I'm not fond of how it looks on Skydancers.

Honestly I don't know if it will hurt the other genes...more than anything else the dramatic price free fall has to do with quantity dictating value, the more dragons that are bred, the lower the prices will drop. This goes for all breeds. It's unfortunate that scrolls are so expensive though...I mean if dragons do end up only selling for 2000 gold each it will take forever to save for something like a Skydancer breed change!

Tera - See, I don't mind how

Tera - See, I don't mind how it looks on Skydancers, to be honest. I think it looks the worst on Wildclaws, female Pearlcatchers, and Guardians (Ahaa...). And male Mirrors, it doesn't look that bad on females though. It's not a gene I'm really interested in to be honest, unless I have a dragon with just the right primary and tert combos. I'm inclined to look for someone who can loan me one so I can preview my dragons with it - or I can wait until it starts selling for gems. The two accents that Unplugged pointed out I saw a while ago, and really liked. I'm fond of the ghost one the most.

True, someone on Tumblr did say that Iri and Shimmer would likely remain more valuable, but eh. It was just an immediate concern of mine when I first saw it.

Oh wow. I finally, finally

Oh wow. I finally, finally saved up enough to buy an iridescent scroll from the AH! Aaaaaaaand, I don't like any of my dragons with it. What? The most expensive primary gene there is, and none of my babies look good with it on. The girly I plan on using it on doesn't even look like she's got it in the preview, the only way I can tell is because her tail is a slightly different color from her body. :l Guess that's what I get for having almost all of my dragons in the ice-obsidian range!

Wonderfully, I've often found that the obsidian-black range and the white-ice range really doesn't do well with Iri at all. I've kept it on both of my Spirals in the hopes I can sell them for more, but with the current economy, not even that's helping.

Not my dragon, but this is my favourite crackle gened one so far. Reminds me of moss or vines growing on a stone wall. That said, it'd be nice of the gene was a bit more...subtle.

Aside from that, I'm so stuuuupid haha. Saw this girl in the AH, and immediately decided I wanted some really dark coloured babus.

She's going to be paired up with this boy. Colour chart. I see some sexy circuit opportunities whenever I can get that scroll.
