Scythe introduced me to this game a few days ago, and since then I've become addicted with it. So I wanted to make a blog for us TEF members who are playing. Basically, it's a game all about raising a clan of dragons and battling with them Pokemon style.

You choose from 11 different elements at the beginning, and depending on which you pick, your first dragons will be that element. You have your own dragon god and area on the map based on your element, and you can breed dragons to build your clan and trade with others.

If you're a member and want to be on the list, let me know your username and element and I'll add you. (A link to your clan profile really helps me for linking purposes

) I've got a bunch of TEF members on my friends list on Flight Rising but I'd rather you let me know you want to be on the list than just add you without permission.

Also feel free to talk about this game as much as you'd like in the blog. There's a lot to discuss XD

I think I'm starting to lose interest in Flight rising... :/ Don't even feel compelled to get gold again to try for a spiral dragon breed change thing anymore. Short on gold anyway after expanding the laid a number of times for hatchlings.

"Nest Mechanic Change: Nests

"Nest Mechanic Change:
Nests now require 5 incubations to hatch. There is a new graphic bar to keep track of each nest’s progress. A nest will not hatch until its bar is fully charged. You may incubate each nest once per day.

This has been changed from 5 days of incubation to prevent egg rot. Previously, the eggs would always hatch after 5 days, regardless of incubation or not. It was their survival that was being determined by the incubation.

With the new nest change, the egg rot mechanic has been completely removed.

Open All Option:
Chests that contain identical loot are now able to be opened as a stack.

Server Optimizations:
Lightsky is continuing to make optimizations around the site. Flight Rising may experience downtime tomorrow. These changes are to help increase website performance and get those pages loading faster!

Short Downtime 08/20/2013:
The site will be down for approximately 2 hours this morning as more server changes are made. The server will be down during this time to prevent the possibility of damage to any accounts as the server undergoes testing for speed improvements. We will bring the site back up as soon as possible.

The downtime should occur at approximately 1000 EST and be back up by 1200 EST."

Spent almost all my treasure

Spent almost all my treasure today while hunting dragons in the AH. ;___;
I found two dragons with a fitting color combination that I will change to Skydancers once possible, funny how I bought the male first, looked at fitting combinations in the color predictor and decided on something and then found the perfect female just moments after.
Color prediction + both parents have the tiger gene, so hopefully there will be some pretty babies later on. ;u;

I've noticed I'm a sucker for these kinds of colors, either a brown base with greens/yellows or I want dark with something bright towards the green/yellow/orange direction to break it off. |D

Guys, to all y'all who are makin' babies, let me ask you something. I had planned on breeding a Wildclaw to a Fae in hopes of more Wildclaws, but as I was previewing their possible offspring, I saw A Wildclaw out of maybe... ten pages of Fae. Is the possibility of getting my WC really that low?

Wonderful -- If you look at

Wonderful -- If you look at the Encyclopedia, to do with breeds, the breed rarity determines the likelihood of offspring.

Faes, Tundras, Mirrors and Guardians are Starters, so they're very common.
Wildclaws are Rare.
So the chance of a Rare breed overcoming a Starter breed's commonality is something like 25% against 75%, I believe it says, maybe less.
Whereas if you breed two Starters, say a Fae and Tundra, because they're the same level of rarity, it'd be 50/50 chance of either Tundra or Fae.

Pan: orz I knew there was a difference between the starter breeds, but I assumed that Wildclaws and Pearlcatchers were of the same rarity and that Snappers and Imperials were the same. I didn't know the difference between Faes and Wildclaws was so great.

I got bored and started

I got bored and started playing with offspring predictions for two random dragons (Coal/Brown primaries), and a majority of the predictions were magenta, pink, and coral. There was at least one pink in each prediction batch @____@
