I'm still having some trouble with learning the ropes of body language. Most of the time, I can pretty much tell what a player wants to tell me by either their body language (at least, when they're not combining gestures), or just intuition.
But there are a few things that I can't wrap my head around. For example, I often have deer come up and nuzzling me out of the blue, or just mooing right at my face. I would expect the latter from trolls/fawns, but I usually see stags do it -- and I can't help but notice that they're usually wearing the same pelt as my character whenever this happens. I'm not sure how to respond to these situations.
I think I have a SLIGHT idea of what's going on, but I'm not sure if I'm just simply misinterpreting something, or reading too much into things.
Also, I REALLY hate to ask this, but what does "mooing" typically do? I usually use the button to test out what kind of sounds my character is making ((different masks = different sounds)), but I usually summon the wrong sorts of people by accident (they usually chase me for awhile or try to fight me until I PRETEND to go AFK). Am I making some sort of battlecry or do I have some rotten luck? Because I always thought that calling meant "help me" or something, but with the people I've met...I don't know anymore.
Also I kind of need that thread that's the "Body language Guide/Manual" or something like that. I tried searching for it, but didn't turn up with anything, so could someone link me to it? I've been seeing a few people use REALLY complex gestures, and not sure what they mean (example: head tilt + bow, and many more.). I've read the thread before when I first joined, but forgot 90% of the stuff. XD
Sorry for long post, I just really want to knock out 2 or more birds with one stone with this post.
Well my characters usually
Also each player reads actions differently so there's no 'code' for this. bow+head tilt (confusion) usually means like a half-bow.
mooing out of the blue up
they're probably just people who are newer, or nameless [ people with no accounts + no pictos ], just trying to learn how to interact with others. if they look exactly like you, picto and all, it's probably a glitched nameless.
Use the head shake or 'No' action if you dont like it, or your deer doesnt like it, it usually helps.
@ZakuroToshino Oh ok! Thank
Oh ok! Thank you. I was wondering what the head tilt + bow meant for the longest time.
@hadoukin
It usually takes one moo just to attract an aggressive player, and it's happened to me on different deer characters (both stag and fawn), so it's usually unwarranted. I think the maximum time I ever mooed was like 8 times in 1 minute because I was being mask-spammed by someone, but nobody bothered me when that happened.
Only once did I use the sad action, but they just continued or did the LOL action. So I either ran or just went AFK. I'm just shocked at the number of people that did this to me within the past week ((unless it's like the same 2 people using different deer accounts)) so I'm just wondering if I was just using the moo action wrong or something. Like I said, I expect trolling from fawns - new players - but not well-dressed, named stags, which was also part of my confusion.
Thank you for the advice though! I always forget about the Shaking Head action. I'll probably take screenshots next time too, while I'm at it.
EDIT: Haven't seen a glitched clone of myself though. Some of the deer that I encountered just had the same pelt, but different antlers/masks and pictos.
yeah they're probably trolls,
Also headtilt + bow is
Back in my day before these youngns and their fancy buttonmash emote combos.Sad + bow is/was used to say "I'm going now/I have to go."
But yeah there's not really any set guide with these things, especially when they get combined. Some players have long elaborate lists on their bios and it makes my head spin.
I don't make my deer moo a whole lot, unless they're playing around with masks. Generally cos mooing repeatedly for a long time annoys people.
