The Endless Forest's beauty...

A little something I did on a 3 x 4 inch watercolor canvas sheet in watercolor. The resizing that happened when I scanned it takes from it a bit, but I love how it came out for how tiny it was. I wasn't drawing any particular character, just some beautiful deer in the magical woods. I chose soft colors on purpose. It adds to the magic I think

This is really nice...

This is really nice... especially if it was painted on so small paper. =) Deer looks very cute, he looks like he heard something interesting and just stopped to listen. Scenery also gives it nice depth, and light colours make a mysterious and misty athmospehere. Good work, I have also begun to like watercolours quite much myself. Only thing I would suggest is that even though you used soft colours on purpose, you could add just a bit some brighter/darker colours atleast on the foreground, that way the backround would go even deeper. ^^

I do agree about the lights and darks. I have issues with dark colors when using watercolor sometimes. I get a bit too careful at times. But thank you all so much
