I was wondering
Why some pictograms I see around now have lines with sharp edges like here http://tale-of-tales.com/TheEndlessForest/register/pictogram.php?usernam...
unlike the older pictograms, which have kinda less fancy lines, like this one: http://tale-of-tales.com/TheEndlessForest/register/pictogram.php?usernam...

The fancy pictos are the most recently made ones, the less fancy are the older generations

^^^ Yes! Different generations of pictos will look different. You can generally tell if two pictos are from different generations by the style of the lines, and what shapes make up the picto.

Btw, you can tell what generation a pictogram is from by right clicking on the little white space on the picto screen, and clicking view source. In the "register/symbol" section you'll see a number that indicates which generation a picto belongs to. For example, by viewing the source, you can see that your account's picto is a Gen 3. c:
