(This ish an Rp between my Tabiu and Emerald's Dieu. These will be scenes that we will later act out in forest. =3 Remember, this is before Dieu and Tabiu had left, Dieu remembers none of this. ^^ Like it says in the title, please do not post.)
Tabiu's grey-blue eyes slowly open as he heard his mother's voice.
"Huh.. what?" he mumbled sleepily, shaking his head as he sat up.
"I said I'm going out to get something to eat," she answered him, smiling in amusement.
He yawned, "Oh.. okay."
he murmured, laying back down.
She smiled, looking down at the two of them, "Sleep well my little ones," she spoke softly, before sliding out of under the large tree, and disappearing.
One of Tabiu's eyes opened as soon as he stopped hearing her hoof-steps.
"Alright, she's gone!"
Tabiu sprang out of his flowery nest.
"We can go now!"
He said to his sibling, bouncing over to him.
(Fail first post fails. o-e Dun worry, they'll get larger as we Rp. '^^)
Dieu jerked an eye open, a
Dieu jerked an eye open, a devilish grin overcoming his facial features.
"It's about time, I was getting tired of pretending to be tired."
He streched forward, arching his back as he closed his eyes in a yawn. The rising sun cast beams of light over his pelt and onto the ground, illuminating his shadow. He flinched as the bright light entered his pupils, and shook his head to rid himself of the dizzy feeling. Eventually he reopened his eyes, but not without a grunt of major disapporval and irritation.
Looking around in thought, Dieu scratched at a patch of grass.
"Hrm...where to? We went to the Ruins earlier...how about the pond?"
The fawns eagerness began to show as he bounced around his brother.
"I hear there's a huge Koi fish lurking in the deep. I bet you're afraid of that eh?"
Dieu nudged his brother teasingly as he let the taunt sink in. Today would be a good day for a challenge. Their mother was supposed to be gone later than usual. It was perfect.
He laughed, "Yeah.. I wish
Dieu chuckled at his older
Dieu chuckled at his older brothers comment about his sensitivity to the light.
"Aha, actually light can cause lost of sight. I don't want to end up running into a tree. That would be...unfortunate."
His heart gave a jump of joy at the tone of Tabiu's voice; he sounded excited!
Excellent, today was going to be a good day, he could feel it in his limbs.
Dieu cocked his head at the mention of walking on water.
"Walking you say? I'll have to try that for sure!"
As a result of the shove, he fell right back into the poppy patch, glaring as he raced off towards the pond.
"No fair! You got a head start!"
Dieu shouted as he tried to collect himself off the ground. After finally succeding, he galloped after Tabiu, trying not to make too much noise as his mother might hear him.
That would be bad, she hates it when we go 2 feet away when she's right here beside us! I'd hate to see what'd she do in this instance.
He was almost at the pond. Taking running leap, he ended up landing on the bridge. His landing disturbed a small flock of ducks below him, and they swam away quacking all the while.
The young fawn rolled his eyes, and placed his front hooves on the rim of the bridge.
"Tabiu! You here? Or did you already manage to fall in?"
He laughed at the sound of
"Life's not fair!" he called back to him teasingly.
As he flew past the large trees, leaping over fallen trees and large rocks, he forgot that his mother could be somewhere near by.
Oh crap!
He hushed his yelling, and just kept on running, his hooves not remaining on the ground for more than two seconds.
..The pond can't be too far by now.. he looked around, confused, Where did it...
His eyes widened as the large pool of water appeared in front of him.
"Oh no!" he yelped, trying to stop himself, but it was too late.
He tripped on a rock and went flying head over hooves, flying right into the pond.
His ears perked as he heard more hooves, and he, taking a large gulp of air, dived down into the water.
He watched as Dieu came racing from the trees, and leapt onto the bridge, staring over the rim.
I can't let him know I fell in!
His eyes then narrowed mischeviously.
He began swimming silently over to where he stood, ready to leap out.'
Tabiu stopped moving, letting himself float down, before he starting thrashing his legs, wiggling upwards.
He exploded at the surface with a loud yell, kicking water about.
He stopped and let himself plop back into the water, before looking up at him.
"Did I scare ya?"
(There, now it looks as big as yours! =D *shot*)
Dieu was glancing around,
"Aack! It's the giant Koi!"
He stumbled backwards, and ended up slipping on the slippery surface of the bridge. Eyes widening, he tried to clamber back to his feet but to no avail. Dieu ended up falling face first over the back of the bridge. When he first entered the water, he was disoriented. But after a couple of seconds his head started to clear. That's when he noticed the other speckled tawny pelt, just below the water's surface.
Tabiu!
A blush found its way upon his face, he had been frightened by his own brother! How pathetic. Snorting bubbles under the water, he swam towards and then underneath his brother, and then shot up with his brother stacked neatly on top of his head.
"You surprised me."
Dieu cocked his head to the side, thereby sliding his elder sibling off. He then dove under to meet his brother.
Tabiu broke out laughing at
He watched in amusement as Dieu suddenly fell over the side, landing into the pond with a splash.
Laughing too hard to realize his brother was coming back to retaliate, his eyes widened.
"Wo-oah!"
He felt the breath knocked straight out of him as his brother's head crashed up into his stomach.
Tabiu slid off his head, and back into the water, legs flailing to re-surface.
He snorted as he managed to turn back over, swimming up for air.
"Surprised? You should've seen your face!"
He bursted back into laughter, before finally calming down.
Tabiu looked around, a brow raised.
"So where's the giant koi?"
He asked, tilting his head.
Dieu broke into a fit of his
He rose up as his brother was giggling over his "moment" back at the bridge.
"Well, I didn't know you became a fish in the short time it took me to get here!"
he huffed, and then gave in once more to the laughter. He continued to wheeze as his brother wondered about the fabled fish.
It took a good minute or two before Dieu was able to get out an answer.
"Don't...know..usua-..usually comes around when no one's looking I hear."
He stuttered, lowering his gaze to his reflection in the water. He stared for awhile, twitching his ears and watching the 'other him' do the same.
"Hrm...I wonder why lies under this water...aqua deer?" he questioned to no one in particular. Then again, it was a habit of his.
"What do you think, Tabiu? Where do the koi sleep? Where do they hide?" he stared at his brother with a quizzical look strewn across his face.
"What else exists in this mysterious pond?"
He snorted. "I wish, I wish,
"I wish, I wish, I was, a fish!"
He shouted sarcastically, before breaking out into the giggles.
Tabiu then waited for his brother to answer him, though it took quite some time for Dieu was busy laughing.
He raised a brow.
"How do people know that it exists if it doesn't come out unless nobody is looking?"
He asked, skeptical.
"Sounds kinda.. fishy to me."
Tabiu started laughing again at his own lame joke, calming down as his brother spoke again.
"..Aqua Deer?" he snorted, "Don't be silly!"
He stared curiously at him as he started going on about what lay under the pond.
"I.. don't know," he murmured, "I'm sure lots of things live below the surface."
Dieu blinked, then whispered
Dieu blinked, then whispered softly.
"Brother...does something exist even if no one is around to see it? Or is it just an illusion? Is sight what really enables something's existance?
No, I'm certain it exists. It's just shy is all..."
He began treading into shallower waters, the water sinking from his chin now to his knees.
Ears flicked backwards, and his head turned.
"Ya never know."
he chuckled, and pawed at the ground.
"Say...you want to find out just what exists down there? Why don't we hide behind that tree over there?"
Dieu tossed his head to the left, indicating a large willow tree that just barely overlooked the pond.
"Nothing will see us, and we can use the time to dry off before mother gets back."
A good shake followed that remark, along with a playful bow.
"Whatcha say?"
(He talks a lot in this post. -shot-)
He stared seriously at him as
"No, but if others haven't seen it, who are they to say it exists in the first place?"
He didn't believe in many things, which made him frustrated when it came to praying to the Gods.
"But still.. one shouldn't believe everything one's told them."
Tabiu watched as his sibling started padding away, towards the land, sighing.
"No.. and nobody would know, if they've never seen it," he snorted.
He looked up to the tree that Dieu motioned to, brows raised.
A smirk crawled onto his face, and he nodded.
"Sure, why not," he snorted, starting to paddle back to the dry grass.
He shook out his sopping wet pelt as he slid out of the water, and scampered over to his brother, following him over to the tree.
Dieu sighed and shook his
Dieu sighed and shook his head. There was no use, he brother simply didn't care for legends and things of the like. He had noticed it when they paid visits to the Twin Gods Statue, although he himself admired the Twin Gods and the stories their mother told them, Tabiu was a different story. Often he would stop mid-prayer. Of course once mother was finishing up he'd come back so he wouldn't arouse suspicion from her. Then they'd go about their day.
No matter, he'd change his mind once he saw the Koi.
"Alright, let's go then."
He grinned, and then leapt up the hill, keeping his eyes focused on the willow. Once there he cerefully ailgned himself to the trunk, hiding as much as himself as possible. Then he sat down, peering over the side into the still water.
That stag better had better been right about the time of day...I don't want to wait here until nightfall.
He nodded, scampering up
"Are we even going to be able to see from here?" he asked, staring down at the pond.
He didn't want to spend all day watching a pond.. especially for something that most likely didn't exist.
Tabiu followed him behind the tree, squeezing up against him so he didn't show at all, except for a peeking eye.
"..Don't you think it would know if we were watching?"
He grumbled, ears twitching.
