Line Dance Ninjas

WARNING: This is a very silly post. May cause giggles, snorts, eye-rollings, or other symptoms of levity. Not rated by the FDA.

I hadn't thought of it much before, but I wonder if it's written in certain deer's stars that they shall always line dance when the opportunity arises. Considering the number of line dances Kurios has been in on in his short life, I had to take a look back in time and see just how likely he was to end up in a line dance. ^^ At least, the ones that got caught on film.

Sure enough, it seems like Kurios has a tendency to see deer dancing and go "Oh, are we dancing together?" and pull up beside them. And then more deer trot over, and...boom! Line dance.

Is your deer somehow fated to line dance? Do you often find line dances forming around you? If so, your deer may secretly be...a line dance ninja!!

Kurios's involvement in line dancing goes back to his earliest days...

He also practiced line formation by joining large parties of adult line dancers, thinking it harmless. (*wonders if Walter is secretly a line dance ninja too*)

Shortly after becoming an adult, Kurios often found himself starting moonlight line dances--just little trios, at first. It seemed completely innocent...

...but was it? Soon enough, just dancing beside one other deer was a sure-fire way to attract masses of line dancers like bees to honey! Kurios was bewildered. Often, the secrecy involved in being a ninja is such that even the deer himself does not realize he is one.

Lightbringers Flower Parade - Images (Large)

(Image hosting problems resolved! *flexpose* ^^; Or at least they better be, else I'm going to throw things at the internet.)

Sunday morning/afternoon (depending on where in the world you were), 4/19, there was a Lightbringer event led by CelticMystress. Here's some images from the fun romp through the Forest!

More images and details can be found here in Kurios's Album. (Gosh I hope that works.)

Kuriositty's Forest Deer Updates

Hello! I'm not mean, honest--I'm quite a softie... dance dance, the sun smiles!

Inspiration:
Beneath these fruit-tree boughs that shed
Their snow-white blossoms on my head,
With brightest sunshine round me spread
Of spring's unclouded weather,
In this sequestered nook how sweet
To sit upon my orchard-seat!
And birds and flowers once more to greet,
My last year's friends together.

--William Wordsworth

Kurios met Aegle! The big marshmallow's been in shy-mode this week, but playing with cute bashful fawns cheered him up. He was happy to encourage friendships and dancing!

Last Deer Awake: Kurios
Mood: Curious, shy, playful
Thinking: They're so little! I remember being that shy once... come, it's only the meeting's the hard part...
In the Forest: Goodnight, my deers!
Activity: Exploring quietly; playing with the shy fawns

Abiogenesis Memoirs - (Large images)

Greetings all! Finally put together the Abiogenesis pictures from Kurios.

With all the connection difficulties and my cranky, Forest-hating laptop, I was sure there was no way in a very hot place we'd make it in. But after long spells of "Connecting... Connecting..." Kurios finally got in! Apologies for the poor quality of the pictures--I tried to keep settings as good as possible and still survive, but they're not best. It was terribly laggy and the weather made the view poor, so the best I could do was run Kurios around and pop as many pictures as the grinding computer allowed. Please enjoy if you wish!

Greetings! Kurios's First Hours

"Make me thy lyre, even as the forest is:
What if my leaves are falling like its own!
The tumult of thy mighty harmonies

Will take from both a deep, autumnal tone,
Sweet though in sadness. Be thou, Spirit fierce,
My spirit! Be thou me, impetuous one!
"
--Percy Bysshe Shelley

Hello, noble Forest dwellers! Newcomer here. I'm usually known as Kuriositty, and this is my little deer, Kurios (yes, in the same manner as Curious George--and he is). Late last night--or early morning, depending on how you look at it--I stumbled across the website for Endless Forest, was intrigued, and decided to try it out. So here we are, Kurios and me (well, not exactly me; I'm the invisible pair of eyes over Kurios' shoulder).

Late last night the Forest was fairly quiet, but this morning it came alive! Kurios had a nice run and met many interesting deer. There was dancing and swimming and rock-climbing and ruin-spelunking, and we gradually learned the ins and outs of throwing sparkly Forest Magic around. Already Kurios can't wait to grow up and earn his own pair of really truly antlers. And there are so many shapes and pelts to choose from! Everyone is so unique.

Kurios is a rather shy little fellow, but still very curious, and very interested in the goings-on of the Forest. He'd like to sincerely apologize if he annoyed anyone as he tottered around, since he's not very good at maneuvering or communicating yet. (We're further handicapped by the loss of our trusty desktop computer, and thus having to run the Forest on a cranky laptop with bad fps.)

The Forest is honestly beautiful, and the concept of the game itself is unique and aweseome. Kurios and I look forward to many peaceful and interesting adventures! Thanks everyone for your patience and kindness!
