Abiogenesis Memoirs - (Large images)

Kuriositty's picture
Greetings all! Finally put together the Abiogenesis pictures from Kurios.

With all the connection difficulties and my cranky, Forest-hating laptop, I was sure there was no way in a very hot place we'd make it in. But after long spells of "Connecting... Connecting..." Kurios finally got in! Apologies for the poor quality of the pictures--I tried to keep settings as good as possible and still survive, but they're not best. It was terribly laggy and the weather made the view poor, so the best I could do was run Kurios around and pop as many pictures as the grinding computer allowed. Please enjoy if you wish!

(Push "Play" for lovely background music!) Highlights are as follows, and other pictures can be found here, in Kurios' April Album.

We made it!

Searching for the Abio, following the massive crowd of pictograms. Oh gosh, it's so foggy we can't see a thing. We lagged along like a rusty Model-T Ford, approximately 2 mph--or 1 frame every five seconds. We're probably going to blunder into the Pond in this mess. Kurios had Pond magnetism in the fog as a fawn.

Found Abio! Laaaaag! OMG. Never seen so many deer, either! What is that giant antlered thing...?

OMG god-deer! Blindly stumbling through lag and almost ran right into the path of the gods!

Lag lag lag. Kurios was stuck hopping in place until most of the deer had left and the lag calmed down. Then we had to play ketchup. We're missing the fun! Hurry hurry hurry...still can't see much of anything for the fog.

Kurios could just about keep pace with the back end of the herd, by lagging along at the best gallop he could manage. Holy Forest Magic, Bat-Deer! Mass batification! There were so many bats, we couldn't tell who we were.

Confused in the mass of bats and fog, Kurios ended up going the wrong way and got left behind again. The fog just wouldn't go awaaaay...! Rushing blindly to catch up! Lag lag. What's everybody doing now? We're missing it! Wait, there are willows--

... Yup. I knew it. Right into the Pond. Between the lag and the fog, Kurios couldn't see where he was going until it was too late--splash.

We followed deer up to the Weeping Stone, thinking something was going on--whoamygosh a bomb!!

Kurios felt nekkid, so he popped through the Weeping Stone to at least put a pelt on. And suddenly airplanes! Look out below! *plays Ride of the Valkyries*

Kurios nearly rear-ended the big black god-stag while lagging his way to catch up with the group. 'Scuse us!

*gasp* The fog is gone! We can breathe! And there is fire and flowers and zomg the grass went nuts and the Forest is now a disco dance hall!

The god-deer returns--one giant stag with no picto or pelts.

Dancing in the snow and stars. There's even a few bats still around!

Oh no, the fog's back again. Bleh. But we're all still dancing and playing with the god-stag! And there are poppies! This made me think of the Wizard of Oz, and I almost expected deer to start falling asleep left and right.

Kurios was kirin pelted by the divine! The god-deer ran around casting pelts for a while. And people had candles--where did they get candles? There were candles all over, and Kurios couldn't do a thing with them.

Afterward, the god-deer ran off, the herd split up trying to find out where the party was at, and the action seemed to be winding down... Kurios made a quick trip over to the Ruin to see why deer were gathering. But no party--just a quiet group.

Oh noes, the choir-screeching pelt! O_o It causes lag when busy. Too many people were flinging it around during parts of the Abio.

The Twin Statues were floating in the same place for quite some time, and it seemed like everything was over. The lag was still pretty ferocious, and as we couldn't see anything happening (fog! ergh), Kurios and I decided to take a break.

And that's it for Kurios's first Abiogenesis! I hope everyone enjoyed!
Shoutouts welcome! Best wishes!
