I promisd I would write another story, and I did...but it wasn't that great, I couldn't think of anything else, so please make some story requests. Everthing counts. If you will please come up with some new names for the deer in my stories, thanks!

Forest Tales- A tale of Urro (book two)

Today was not a beautiful as it was the day before, or before that. Urro looks up at the hazy, dark sky and realizes it isn't going to be the perfect week to play, or search for berries, which was his most favorite thing to do in the whole forest. Urro has taken shelter in a beaver den. The river was no longer there though, it was dried up by the drought the forest had long ago, the river never did recover. But later on, as the years went by, the rainy season had brought a new river. He didn't like that river as much because all of the young fawns would play there, they would bug him. So he always went to the big pond instead, it was peaceful there. That was where Urro found the berries long ago and came across a very dangerous buck. His mother had always warned him not to go into the forest by himself during rutt season. To the larger bucks, he was a competition. As Urro thought about this, he layed his head down resting his eyes, the weather had exhausted him. He was gloomy just like it was. As the rainy day went by, the sun started to peek from behind the clouds. Urro rose up from his resting place and stuck one foot out to feel the grass, he quickly pulls away. Too wet. He decides to wait a little longer for the sun to dry up the grass. As he waits, he paws at the soft dirt waiting for the minutes to go by, maybe hours. Urro gets restless and decides to head out anyway, he can't bare the boredom any longer. One foot out, and then the other. He stretches way out past the beaver den feeling the dry grass on his legs. Wait... it's dry! This excites Urro and he dicides to leap and play in the fields just once, but first he must find his mother. "Baa!" He waits. "Baaaaaaa!" Far off in the distance he hears his mother's call. He follows her scent leaping over fallen branches and dodging low tree limbs. And there she is, waiting for him. Urro frollics over to her nuzzling her soft, warm fur. He missed her. She was worried about him, especially during the storm.

Story Interviews

Hello. Can all of you please tell me what you like AND dislike about my stories so I can improve and write more based on the comments. All you have to do is reply to one of my messages (especially this one) and just inform ME of my OWN stories. It's kind of fun actually. You do not have to do this, but it would help me tremendously with my stories. Oh, and one more thing, you can now request stories for me to write, they will be posted under writing on my blog (ForestOrb). I will not be able to write on all of the requests, but I will choose the ones I like best. And if you have ANY questions, please ask! Thanks to all of you! -ForestOrb

Forest Tales- A tale of Skinta

It was rainy, and it was comming down hard. All of the deer had took cover under the towering branches of the trees. Nice and warm. But not Skinta, she loved the rain. She would always run and pounce in the puddles, and plus there were never any other deer to bother her or to tell her what to do. She didn't like rules, especially the ones that were useless. Like fawns not being able to be out after dark. She also liked to play after dark, thats when the fireflies came out to play in their swirling slumber of lights. It was no fun watching them in the day, they didn't light up then. Skinta was different from the others. She liked to do things, that to her, were much more fun then bouncing around in the fields with the other fawns. As the moon grew brighter and brighter Skinta grew more and more joyful, something was different, it had stopped raining! Now the fireflies have to come out to play! She couldn't wait to see the them with their bright glowing lights, and their wonderful playfulness. Skinta pauses for a long time, scanning over the purple and orange horizon searching for the fireflies, and there they were, swirling and bouncing in the air. Skinta thought to herself that nothing could possibly get better, she was free to do as she pleased, free of all the worries and woes. They twirled around her as they lit up her eyes, she loved to try to jump up and touch them with her nose. Several minutes later, they seemed to vanish into the night not leaving a trace except for the trail of blue light behind them. And then Skinta saw why. As here eyes gazed up into the night, she saw the soul capturing eyes of an owl, with the face of a human. It was sitting on the lowest branch only a couple of feet away from her. The sight of this stunns Skinta. She sprints through the forest tripping over a fallen log. The owl with the human face was right behind her, tracking her every step. Dipping and dodging under branches through the air.

Forest Tales-A tale of Enna

The air seemed to be perfect. No rain, no clouds, just sunshine. It was breezy, a little cold though. Enna had just awaken from a nap. She stretched and hurried to her mother bugging her for food. She leads her over to a nearby patch of purple flowers, Enna loves these. She grazes for quite a time before getting full and starts to call for her friends. "Baaa!" She stands by her mother waiting for a reply. "Baaaaaa," She hears a call far off in the distance, not too long after that she hears another one, "Baa," and another "Baaaa!". Many fawns are out in the perfect weather to play today. She looks at her mother for approval. She nods, Enna bounces with joy and hurries off to her friends. After finding them, one of the fawns leads them to the spring to play in the water. They leap over to the other side and frollic in the open space playing in the sun. A buck approaches them, he's no threat though, he came for a drink. Soon after that a doe follows in his tracks, ths must be his companion. The doe gently gazes at the fawns with her big blue eyes. And behind her follows a newborn fawn, very young. Enna approaches the newborn sniffing her and asking her to play. Enna starts playing too rough and the fawn falls to the ground and starts to call to it's mother. "Baaa! Ba!". As soon as the father hears it's call, he comes bolting over the stream along with the mother. The father huffs and snorts. "Snort!". He begin to stomp his hoof pounding the ground. Startled, the four friends dash off into the forest to find their parents. Dusk begins to fall and Enna has found her mother. "Baa,". She settles down beside her to stay warm for the night. Enna lays her head beside her warm chest and begins to fall asleep dreaming of tomarrow.

Forest Tales-A tale of Urro

The forest smelled of pine and flowers, and the sun broke through the tree tops as if it couldn't wait to shine down on the ground. Urro rose form the wet grass to nibble on some mushrooms nearby. These mushrooms were orange and tasted bitter and salty. Urro sticks out his toungue in disgust and sets off to find some berries. After walking and leaping over rocks for hours, Urro finally comes across the biggest, juiciest, patch of berries he's ever seen.
Just as he settles down to munch on them, a gust of wind carries the scent of trouble into Urro's nostrils. A buck, a big one too. A strong, scary, towering buck. He doesn't look happy either. The buck starts to snort as a warning, Urro unsure of the situation starts to back away slowly. The buck snorts again, louder this time, he is now hovering over Urro. He stomps his hoof beating the ground. Other fawns start to stare, they know what is happening. Urro turns to run when he is knocked across the ground in the back by the huge antlers the buck has, he was flung into a tree like a twig. Just as the buck rears up to trample him, he stops, places his feet on either side of Urro's head just missing him, and stares deep, deep into Urros eyes. The buck stops to stand the for a long time breathing heavily, determining if he is a threat. The buck steps away to continue eating and courting with the other females. Urro quickly rises from the ground bolting off into the forest. That night Urro goes to sleep in the last bit of sunlight under a large oak tree, sheltered, but very hungry. After the incedent, Urro had eaten some grass by the pond, it wasn't very soon though before it had gotten dark, so he headed ino the forest and ended up here. Tomarrow he will find some different berries... Safer ones.
