(assuming you know all the characters already... maybe ill write an introduction or something later)
Clock sniffed up at the air, trying to find familiar scents. Unfortunately, the rain had dulled everything. He was soaked, which annoyed him. The brown and gold stag trotted over the the Old Oak, surprisingly, there was no one else inside. There were no other deer anywhere near him, in fact, which he found strange. But a short while later, he would soon be thankful for being alone.
It wasn't long before he found others. Only, he could see them, but no one else could. They were different deer, and at the same time, the same one. They were all a part of him. A grey pelted stag, Cheat, stepped forward, the others following him. He had recently taken charge over the others. Well, most of the others. The one behind him was Owen, shaking his red fur, seemingly uncomfortable. The last one was Down Town, his pale blue eyes fixed on the ground, his mood matching the color of his pelt exactly.
“Clock...” Cheat approached the brown stag as if he was a king.
“Yes? Woah..” Clock mused, looking behind the first stag. “You're all here? What's this about?”
“W-we've come to w-warn you...” Owen said quietly.
Down Town mumbled, his head still low, “Something is wrong here...”
Clock looked at them all. “What do you mean?”
“You have to be careful, Clock.” Cheat stepped forward more. “Do you remember... him?”
Him. Yes, him. “... I do.”
“We haven't seen the last of him. And you are the only one who knows what he is capable of.”
“Why are you telling me this? I think that goes without saying.”
“Know this, Clockwork.” Cheat started, sternly. “He killed Edward without even thinking about it. I want you to be on guard. Any one of us might not make it either. Except for you. And I would hate to know that it would eventually come down to just you and him.”
“... I see.”
Clock blinked, and in an instant, they were all gone. He was all alone again. He hated how they were able to do that. But he couldn't dwell on this for long. They were right, that psychotic deer could kill his other personalities. The loss of Edward actually took quite the toll on his body. It was as if some of his emotions drained out of him. Edward had resisted emotion for so long that whatever Clock felt was a little overreactive. Now he finally evened out, which he wasn't used to. It took him a couple days to clear his mind again.
Not to mention the fact that Edward's murderer always took too much energy from Clock whenever he came about. It had already happened twice. And both times, he could barely move afterwards. He was truly a different personality. A dangerous personality. He had hoped that he wouldn't come again for a long, long time. It put too much stress on everything. Especially on her.
Yes, her. Danielle, the doe he loved for so long. He felt so guilty whenever he changed personalities, it always made her upset. Cheat was usually alright with her, since he didn't really do much of anything. Owen was probably a little annoying with his cowardice, but she told him he was cute. And Down Town? He was glad she hadn't met Down Town yet. He was actually surprised he didn't switch to Down Town today. After all, it was raining. The perfect weather for that stag.
Clock lay his head on the dry ground under the Oak. It was nice and warm inside, which helped dry off his fur, if only a little. He wished Danielle could find him, but the rain was too heavy. Thick downpours pounded against the forest like a cool, refreshing hammer. The ground started to flood with all the water it had absorbed, it couldn't take much more. But the Oak, slightly elevated by its roots, kept itself above the flooding ground.
Clock could see the Twin Gods statue from where he was. A shiver went down his spine. He still remembered that horrible day as if it were yesterday. True, if it didn't happen, he wouldn't be who he was today, but that didn't mean it wasn't frightening. He still had his unparalleled fear of the Twin Gods. Though, over the seasons, it had grown slightly milder. He was used to getting occasional visits from them, and although he would start out terrified, he would soon calm down and listen to them. He wondered if what his other personalities said was true. He wondered, if the Twin Gods would visit him about the same subject, should he really be worried? If the gods were worried about it, it would certainly be a danger.
Nero wasn't that dangerous, was he? Sure, he has... power, to put it shortly, but... Could he really use it? Would the Twin Gods let him? That didn't seem like something they would do. If there was a real threat to the Forest, they would do something about it. Not only that, but why on earth would they let him gain all this knowledge if they knew it would lead to something evil? Sometimes the wisdom of the gods didn't make much sense to him.
It made him wonder where Nero came from in the first place. Everything was just peachy and suddenly he just popped out of nowhere. He caused nothing but trouble, it was right to hate him. At least that's how he felt. He killed Edward, scared Danielle half to death... He was pure evil. There was no way there could possibly be any good inside him. That eye... That yellow eye, that pierces right through the soul, then tears it to shreds. The eye that drives even the soundest stag mad. Nero takes no pleasure in anything except driving his own kind to the depths of insanity.
Is this where Clock's own insanity took him? Split personalities, mood change with the weather, psychotic demons? It almost outweighed the good factors of his life. Even Clock hadn't found every secret he had, yet Nero knew them all. He didn't think his mind could take much more of this. His life was almost too chaotic. Hopefully, nothing horrible would happen. Not now, anyway.

The rain had lessened considerably. Clock found that he had dozed off in the time he had waited for the rain to stop. Now, he would be able to go out without getting too wet. He trotted out of the Oak, sniffed a little, then continued on. Everything still smelled like fresh rain and mud. It drowned out any scent a deer would have.
But it wasn't long before he heard that melodious call not too far away. He recognized that call anywhere, and his heart seemed to lift a little at the sound of it. He trotted quickly over to where the sound was heard. There was Danielle, trotting toward him just as fast. He exchanged nuzzles, and Clock, as usual, snuck a kiss on her cheek before pulling away.
Danielle blushed, part of it unseen under her golden mask. “How are you today?”
“Heh, just fine...” That sounded really fake. Clock had always been a bad liar.
“Clock...” And she knew when he was lying. “What's wrong?”
Clock's ears lowered a little. “Danielle... Do you remember... him?”
The inflection he gave “him” made her heart sink considerably. “... Yeah...”
“... I don't think he's gone..."
Danielle just stared at him. “.... I thought so...” She mumbled, after a short pause.
“Danielle, I don't want you to be scared... Whatever happens, I'll... I'll still be there. Somewhere... You know that, right?”
Danielle gave a soft smile. “Of course.” There was another pause, this one was longer. Danielle could tell he was still thinking. “What made you think about this?”
Clock looked up at her. “Well... my other personalities came to me... I suppose I shouldn't worry about it too much, but I guess he still is a threat...”
“Uh, yeah, he is. You shouldn't treat it so lightly. They told you because it was your body telling you. You should be worried.”
Clock nodded, “Yeah, you're right...”
Another pause. Danielle could feel her heart speed up. “Clock...”
“There's... something else I wanna ask you...”
The butterfly doe, waited, padding one hoof on the ground silently. “Yeah?...”
Clock swallowed, he felt his throat tighten. “... Nevermind. It's not important now...”
“... You sure?”
Clock gazed up at her with his sparkling crystal blue eyes. “... Yeah.”
Danielle looked to her left, to find a large crowd gathering around something not too far away. She looked back at Clock to see if he noticed too. He did notice. He looked to her uncertainly. She nodded and they both trotted towards the group of deer.
But what they were gathering around was not what they had expected.
