I've been thinking about things I can do to help myself get more into the swing of things, something I've grown to have a bit of a problem doing. I love the sense of community TEF can foister...But sometimes, I just don't feel a part of this, which inspires me to be on less and shorter, and post less, and so on. I feel uneasy asking for help from people, so I'm going to reverse-engineer the thing.
TLDR, I'm trying to think of things to encourage my deer to stay on longer, when normally I'd just say 'no one I know is on' and log off: a routine that they need to go through, hopefully crossing paths with a deer I can play with, before I can log them off.
Here's my thoughts so far:
Seed: Wake up, get a drink from the idol and a little shower, collect fresh flowers, run a loop around the forest/do a little poetry
Hyacinth: Collect fresh flowers (this really needs expanding)
Witch: Get one shape-shift spell, find some shmuck to cast it on. Tea?
Any Suggestions? Any of you have things like this that I may learn from or that you'd just like to share?
I used to have Cinch wake up,
Queze usually spends his time
Turk...well Turk eats...anything. I've actually been surprised by how many non-conventional food sources there are available (like the mushroom circles, or fallen logs) in The Forest beyond just pine cones and tree mushrooms. He will also spend his time perched up in trees watching groups of deer that interest him.
Maybe Hyacinth could expand their habit of collecting flowers to include giving some away to sleeping deer with the default antlers...a nice little gift for them to wake up to seems like something they would do.
I have the same mindset, I'm
I still do the whole shape shifting spell thing. If nothing interesting happens by the time my deer falls asleep & casts the spell on an unsuspecting victim i just simply log out and search the community for more interesting activities :u
Mine usually do a few laps around the forest & bellow a few times at various spots. Usually at landmarks like the Blue bowl, Pond, Ruins etc. When they hear a deer give a replying bellow a few times they will attempt to find that deer & hang out for a while.
The moving place to place is to show others that you are in fact active(note the picto moving from place to place on the side bar) Or searching for something. The bellowing shows others that you are trying to communicate with them.(I don't mean bellow spamming, just a few bellows is good but if you want to spam go for it lol)
Hope this helps a bit, I found your strategy pretty interesting. I'll try them out as well.
When Anjali wakes up, he
He will also usually carry some kind of spell, to initiate play with any fawns or nameless deer who look lonely. If there's nothing much to do, he might flower-crown sleeping deer and fawns, as little "gifts" for when they awake.
I like the idea of collecting fresh flowers every day. (:
Comet will wake up and head
After that's over he'll take a run to all of the sites that the forest has to offer to get his heart pumping. When his run is over Comet will look for any deer that aren't still sleeping to play with and if there's no other deer awake he will go to De Drinkplaats and drink some of the water in order to become another creature.
These all sound pretty
I like the differences between characters here.
Quad's morning routine
Hmm.. Zerg - Bow to the koi,
Zerg - Bow to the koi, then the dragonflies... Then do whatever the heck comes up. XD
Mar - Bow to the koi, then dragonflies, then take a shower in the crying idol.
Dark - Bow to Laghodessa's grave, pick poppies, place them on her grave, dig up a few weeds, then go to the lake for a drink.
Arch - No routine set. XD
Lagho - No routine set. |D
