Eomer walked calmly through the forest, the way his ears were just at a certain angle, how his stance was loose, indicated he was quite calm. The golden stag flicked away his long forelock with a jerk of his skull head and looked around, wondering if any deer were out and about.
Dareh, his face still soaked with tears, smelt a stag somewhere. He had had an encounter with another buck earlier today, and sniffed carefully to make sure it was another deer. When he saw the stag he was amazed. He looked like giant... a golden giant, who's face had been torn off. Dareh almost screamed, but had the bravery to walk up to the buck. "He-he-he-hello! M-m my names Da-dar-Dareh! Wh-wh whats yours?" his squeaky voice said. He wondered if the golden stag could even hear him.
Eomer's ears pricked up as he heard a rather...sqeaky voice beside him.The stag looked down curiously as to what had made that sound, when he spotted the little creature in front of him.At first he thought it was a fawn, but after studying it closer,it had a more diffrent build to it.
The golden deer had a little trouble trying to make out the little deer's words. But he heard Dareh, which must be this deer's name. I think he is asking for mine, well,my name he shall have
Hello there...Dareh? Am I correct? I am called Eomer" He annouced in a deep voice.
Eomer shrugged casually. He knew the name meaned strength, but he felt awkward when he told deer tha he named himself. It would seem like he was bragging about his size.
"It means strength,I believe, and thank you my good lad.Dareh is'nt to shabby either, does that have a meaning?" He asked with genuine curiousity.
Eomer lowered his head so he could get a better view of the Dik Dik.He certainly was quite small. He must have looked like a giant to him.And he hoped he was not intimidating Dareh to much.
As Eomer looked closer,he noticed a dark trail of tears coming from the little deers eyes. Was something troubling him? SHould he mention it.Well,he did'nt like seeing deer suffer.Mabye talking about it could help.
Dareh suddenly realized he was still crying. "N-n-n-no, I-iiaa-'m fine, thank you," he said, wiping his face with his hoof.
"Dareh means... I think... it it it it... meeeeannnsss.... circle!" Dareh suddenly exclaimed. He shook his head. He still had lost some memory, he had forgot what his name meant.
"I'm not sure why my parents named me circle. I don't seem circly to you, right? I don't even know who my parents are."
Eomer looked at Dareh in concern. He knew something was bothering him.But he did not want to pry.
"Well..alright then. But you can vent to me if you want.I'll listen" He said.
The golden giant tilted his head slightly and pricked his ears.He thought the little deers stuttering was somewhat amusing, yet he liked it in a sort."Circle eh? Why no,I don't see anything circle-ish about you at all." He exclaimed.Sniffing Dareh curiously.
"I don't know any relations of mine either." He said solemly,it would be nice to have a relative, but there was none in this Forest.
Dareh didn't know if not being circle-ish was good or bad.
"He-he-hey. What exactly is this forest, anyways? I-i-i-i-i was just...d-doing... something... you know what, I forgot what I was doing. Aaaa-aaa-all I can even remember is is is bumping my head then magically appearing in this f-forest."
Eomer listened to his story intently, quirking an ear.He actually did not know all about this place, for he was still rather new too.But with the help of Thriae he was beginning to understand a bit more about the forest.
He shrugged."I'm afraid I don't know that quite myself Dareh. The only thing I do know is that this place is quite...unique.I don't know how I even got here. But I find your story intresting, mabye you will find out in time" He remarked. Then an idea came to his head. His kudu friend had shown him around, mabye he could show the little Dik-Dik the ropes as well if he agred.
"Say,would you mind if I show you around? There is alot to learn about this place,I could be like a mentor for awhile" He asked casually.
Dareh nodded. "I'veee found that out already. Did you ever go swimming in the pond? You ch-change into a frog!" Dareh was surprised, shocked that he didn't stutter much in that sentence.
"I would like a tour of the forest! I haven't really seen anything yet, all-all-aaaall I've seen is some st-statues and a pond and some big ruin," Dareh said. He made a whistling sound, a sound all Dik-diks make.

Dareh was still in awe. The stag looked so big... and Dareh knew that to Eomer, he looked so small.
"I-i'm a Dik-dik," Dareh said, hoping that would answer any question Eomer might have.
