Affinity

The product of a spectrum influences. Nature magic tuned to influence of light though heavily burdened by the taint of the occult. Suffers various weaknesses to types of magic, including a sensitivity to the forest's various spells. Tends to avoid the forest magic whenever he is able, one of the few ways to cause him physical pain.

With weakness comes power, as the boy is nearly immune to curses or corruption of the blood. Like his mother, able to subconsciously (and later consciously) influence his own life force towards growth, either of himself or into something else. Though faster than his mother's ability it is still a slow and painful process, currently leaving him weak and seemingly sickly for the duration of its use. With time he is able to grow entire limbs, extra antlers and even additional organs should he need them.


Blood and Bone
The Entity, perceived as a second larger aura to Umbra's own. Encompassing the child's light in darkness, it seems to threaten to swallow him but outside of this aura there is no way to sense the being within him and thus no way to tell for sure why his aura is split in such a way.

Otherwise the being is referred to by Umbra as "Tar" for the tar-like substance it seems to have created through his blood. The Entity drives him, be it in his explorations of the world or to feed it and in turn it teaches Umbra all that it learns just as he teaches it. Each keeping the other safe through their choices and actions. They are a pair, one and the same. Blood and Bone.
