Sought out Andreii almost first thing in the morning and sat with him, feeling much more relaxed in his company this time since she was finally in a better mood. Feels kind of guilty that a lot of the times when she's with him she's in a fowl mood and totally doesn't mean it ofc bUT STILL. Have a chill Nao for once. Only broke off from the wolf when she scented Daire and went to go investigate the Scarab. First things first, snuggled up to him until he woke and then asked how he was feeling. Although she was thankful he was in one piece, still felt worried for Hush and the situations he seemed so easily to get into. Regardless, there was a sense of ease to know at least he was safe now. Got to talking about her problems bc daire has to be 10/10 friend and then lead to Nao admitted to the situation that's been making her anxious for awhile now.. namely the Halla and Farren situations. Talked about how uncomfortable it made her and that she'd avoid it from now on, which lead to Naoki also telling the male about how she's no longer friends with Farren because (SHE ASSUMES) of something Saturn said. Which got a negative response from Daire, but Naoki couldn't blame him since well she didn't take it lightly either sigh. Made a remark about how she wouldn't force someone to be her friend if they didn't want her and the topic was left alone after Daire called him a coward. Again, no arguments from her; instead just told him all was fine now and thanked him for listening/being there and curled up to him. Her interest got caught when he brought up a new topic; namely about his friend, Akos. Spoke about how he's going through a rough patch and asked if she'd be willing to try and reach out to him, which she of course agreed to. Would keep some of the ram's personality traits in mind, as well. After that was settled, curled up beside Hush to catch some shut eye. Awoke later to both Daire and Akos, huddled up to join the cuddle crew. Quiet rest of the evening, eventually heading back to the den after both males parted. Felt significantly better in the afternoon after spending the rest of the morning with Yumi. After working on some courage, gave a nuzzle goodbye to Yumi before seeking out Liathe. Found the Seeker with Fletcher, standing nearby in hopes Lia would approach which didn't take long before she edged over. Took that as an opportunity to draw close to the dragoness and nuzzle her head against the other's side in a quiet acceptance of the other.. even if their last interaction Nao wasn't in the best head space. Finally broke the silence by asking if she'd ever want to come visit the family cottage sometime, to which she said yes and Nao got excited just at the idea. Just gotta ask Yumama now. Soon Lia brought Naoki away to talk with her more personally and told the Painted of her pregnancy. Elated and excited, feeling a rush of new, happier emotions over take her. Congratulated the Opal followed by even more excited talk and also trying her best to offer some reassurance to a few of the other's worries. Soon brought back over to the sleeping Dragon Spine, both females snuggling up nearby and bein' mushy sisters. Nao later in the night:  Spent most of the morning soaking in rain until Fletcher joined her. Thankful for the rain to conceal anymore EMOtions that showed up bc of him sitting with her ;[ beyond touched and in away felt overwhelmed just by the Dragon Spine's kindness to sit out in the rain with her when she knew full well he could be some place warm instead. At some point made a half-ass ATTEMPT of an apology to him (for unknowingly bein kinda rude to his momma and also putting him in a weird position..) but couldn't quite get the words out so.. will work on that later. Went back to being a mute until she parted from the male to go back to the cottage and hide away there. BUT MISSED HER MAMA so came back into the Forest and sought out the doe immediately, snuggling close to her mother even though Nao was soaking wet and fkn cold. Snuggled under some of the furs her mother brought out for them, silently thankful and feeling.. better - more put together? - to be around Yumi. Able to even catch some normal sleep for once and had no intention to leave Yumi's side for the rest of the day and through the night. Let me smother you with my needy love and cling, Yumama. Spent most of her day with Yumama after she found the Copperheart at Hiro's den. Touched that her mother came to her even though she was pretty sure Yumi knew this was Hiro's old den...sighs. Stayed in quiet company until scenting Farren and Naoki jumped to go inform him on what happened yesterday. Finally felt like...talking about it? Kind of. But expressed some of her worries, even if they weren't necessarily true. Was set at ease by Farren's words until he brought up what Saturn said yesterday, about him being a bad influence. Attempted to reassure him otherwise, that that wasn't the case but instead felt like she got shrugged off by the wolf. Worse yet, was told they should stop hanging around each other and Nao's heart dropped. Wasn't expecting to hear that at all and stood there dumbly for a few moments when he walked away. Had no idea where to turn to or where to go, having another overwhelming feeling of abandonment course through her. Walked numbly back to Hiro's den.. This time found it empty, her mother must have taken her leave as well when Nao had. Crawled into the little space to let some EMOTIONS out. Stayed in there for the rest of the night. Had every intention of isolating herself for the day to chill herself away at the cottage but was much too antsy to relax there, so instead went back to the Forest. Didn't feel like sitting at Hiro's den anymore so went to the Birch Hill, listening to the birds to try and soothe some thoughts. Was quick to accept Andreii's company when he joined her, thankful for the quiet company since her mind was too lost to talk. Approached by Lia at the pond later. Was sure that the Opal meant to have another 'heart-to-heart' but this time about Farren and Halla to her, yet Naoki quickly distanced herself once the topic was brought up. Was completely shocked to hear Halla was Fletcher's mother, not understanding how the two could ever be related. Didn't word any of the negatives Naoki clearly had on the Grey - namely stealing things from Naoki's friend's dead body the first time they met - and instead stayed silent, even after Rhea joined. Even if Lia had every good intention in heart with the conversation, the Painted felt almost cornered into how she should feel about Farren and Halla. Only caused her anxiety to grow more, feeling a pull on both sides and since NAO ISN'T THE BEST AT EXPressing her emotions when she's upset (: she instead shut her mouth and bottled it all up. Convinced herself that it'd be best not to tell Lia or Rhea about what Halla did in the past to upset Naoki in the first place, feeling as if the females had already chosen what side to stand on. Nevertheless, completely agreed with the point that Fletcher would have to defend his mother if worse came to worse; not that Naoki was planning on ever getting physical if Farren started a fight since she had before let the male deal with his own battles. Still couldn't shake the anxiety and fatigue beginning to claw it's way up her stomach, and when the Opal continued to talk Naoki still couldn't bring herself to respond. After both females parted and Nao spent a good while still at the pond, finally left to go back to Hiro's den. Settled down to attempt to catch some sleep, only being able to doze in and out. After she stood once more, noticed Hush nearby and was tempted to seek him out. Though knew she wasn't the best company to be around, especially to a stranger as well, so thought it best to stay put until Steini and Jude joined her. Let the young ones crawl into the den while she stood outside and tried to think about stuff again. But then finally had to go throw a tantrum in the Birch, though the tantrum kind of.. frustrated her more since she didn't really have antlers to ram into the trees anymore. Scuffed up her head a bit from that, BUT after awhile it chilled her out a lot more than before...so was worth the scrapes and bruises. Returned to the young ones with a clearer head, able to settle down and relax slightly. Found Grim in the morning, attempting to coax the Warrior into play but he wasn't having it. Upon noticing his mood, instead asked if he'd rather sit. Got a few details of what was bothering him, so she attempted to offer some comfort to the male, even if she couldn't specifically help with the situation he was dealing with. Gave some insight to him on her 'problems' when he turned the question back to her, but offered a small optimistic thought that seemed to relax both of them. Then went into a comfortable silence, until player had to WORK After stirring in the evening, found Mura and brought the fawn on an 'adventure' through the Forest. Introducing him to magic and a few common places Mai might've forgotten to show him, enjoying the excitement the young one had with it all. Then got jumped again by Lia into a play, glad to finally release some of her pent up energy. Poor Mura seemed to not be able to keep up with the females' energies, being the first to crash. Nao soon followed, cuddling the young one when Lia parted. When he seemed too sleepy to be out, lead him back to the nest for him to sleep for the night. Found a cozy spot in the Birch to relax in, joined by Farren eventually. Roused with him when they both caught noise of a...don't really know what but had to do with Halla and Saturn. Followed the wolf over towards the scene and she just kind of (: when Farren brought attention to them. Hid behind the other when Saturn confronted Farren, not offering any words of responses to the harsh conversation that then went on between the two. Gladly followed Farren away when it seemed to die down, only to be trailed by the antlered doe once more to continue to be confronted by the situation. This time Naoki distancing herself more, growing more anxious from it but not wanting to leave. But nothing arouse out of either confrontations except an exchanging of come backs, to which Nao offered no insight on herself. Was all too aware of the eyes the scene had attracted (Lia, Fletcher, and Daire at one point), this time leaving to go to the blue bowl with Farren in tow. Felt...safer there, where her helmet was stored, but still very much antsy; couldn't seem to settle down even after switching locations a few times. Had a feeling she should seek out her friends to explain to them the situation but on the other hand wasn't sure if she even wanted to face the situation. Didn't really know what to say either. Danced around the topic but couldn't manage anymore courage for the night so instead went to go hug Hiro's tree. Gave a brief explanation to Farren of what the tree was when he followed, though offered no more words than that. Was quite aware of the distance he was taking, only assuming it had to have been from what Saturn had spoke to him about. Couldn't bring herself to say any words of comfort or reassurance at this point so instead just settled her head down to attempt to rest for the night. Chill day for the most part. Lots of chillin with Farren in the evening too, only leaving to go check on Lia and walking in on a situation with her that Nao kind of felt bad for barging in on...BUT still stayed with the Opal, giving some encouragement before the two parted ways. Returned to Farren, working up the nerve to ask him a question which lead to Nao getting defensive over the topic SHE BROUGHT UP HERSELF. But y'know...isn't always the best with controlling those darn emotions. Kinda flinched at Farren's reaction since body language speaks hella to her and she's usually not dominant in the slightest. Instinctively reacted extremely submissive, ducking her head and not offering anymore defensive reactions to him; instead lowering her head back to the ground and quieting herself. But the sulking didn't last long because the wolf soon apologized and ofc Nao did too bc she knew full well she overreacted too... left over teenage angst. More chillin with father farren after that, falling asleep beside the male. Spent most of the day away at the cottage, working on some art projects and attempting to regain her muse. Has been in relatively good moods these past few days, attempting not to blow it by spending too much time in Forest or too much time at the cottage either; knowing each place has their stresses in their own ways. Upon entering the Forest, was going to make rounds saying hello and checking in on everyone but instead she got fkn jumped by Lia and pulled into a long play session. Soon also got Rhea involved, having another girls' night and running rampant in the Forest. Finally settled down after awhile, staying cuddled up to Rhea after Lia had to part to go be straight with Fletcher. Planned on staying the rest of the night cozy with the hyena until she spotted a ruckus nearby involving Aima and another. Jumped to her hooves to investigate the damage afterwards, Aima looking pretty roughed up and she just ;{ idkhowtohelpbutiwannahelp...butimUSELESS. Attempted to coax him into letting her take him to the Crying Idol to clean him up which he declined. Tried to decipher what exactly to do or say...but Nao isn't always the best with that sigh. Finally recoiled when she got her lil feelins hurt, aka Nao not sure if he even wanted her there and Aima words things weird so...she left, but made sure he knew the offer for the Crying Idol still was in place. Which when she departed from him, went to stay close to there in case he did show later. This is her fav place to chill lately anyways ;[ Eventually felt exhausted for the night for more reasons than just one alone. Quietly wondered if she should return to Rhea to curl up to the other for the night but ultimately decided going back to the cottage would probs be better for her...had to regain some composure and thoughts. changed voice and updated some minor fixes to other stuff sigh Long day, spending most of the morning with Yumi to catch up on some mother-daughter time. Left her side to go get her her present that Naoki had picked up from town (which she had stored at Hiro's old den), though got stopped by Liathe in the process to also be given a gift of her own!!! So many gifts lately!! WHICH NAO LOVED and was more than happy when Liathe slipped it onto the Painted. After the Opal parted, went to have a brief talk with Fletcher to thank him for some things he'd done in the past. Went good and ofc made Nao cry. Sighs. Eventually returned back to her mother with a bird feeder, figuring it would fit well with all of Yumi's wind chimes. Pleased that Yumi seemed to like it, so after setting it up, settled back down back beside her. Got a smooch and grooms from Yumama in return. ALSO LATER helped Rhea teach Steini some fighting moves by being p much a dummy for Rhea to point out all the critical spots on others. I'm just glad to help, fam. More stuff happened that I'm too fkn lazy to write out...namely, Nao trying to get babs to play with her and hardly succeeds until some pups come along. Which they kinda joined in.. kinda confused Nao too tho. Scented Farren later!! Went to him to find out wtf is happening and to figure some stuff out. Which lead to Naoki finding out Llyr isn't actually dead but just in a 'dormant state' back at Farren's house. Ofc this news only putting Nao in an even better mood. Prodded at the wolf when he didn't seem as happy, to which got some answers to stuff Naoki couldn't really help with; namely his past relationships/trouble with current ones.. But attempted to give the best advice she could and add some encouragement to the male. Afterwards, got heckled by the older male on a certain someone in her life and if she had certain feelings for that individual. Shot her ears down at Farren, claiming she had no idea what he was talking about and giving him the cold shoulder by casting her glance somewhere else. OFC SHE ONLY AMUSED FARREN with her reactions, Had a talk with Lia yesterday concerning some...boy stuff...Which Naoki could give absolutely no good advice on bc well...she's a n00b with boys. But so was Lia apparently, so at least Nao joked around about it. Also filled the Opal in on some of the recent events going on with Nao, earning a few laughs but evidently ended up retiring for the night with one last nuzzle to her. Today, considered wondering back to Hiro's den just to mope around some more and continue to attempt to isolate herself. Though on her way over, caught Grimkell's scent and decided to first investigate the Warrior to make sure he was feeling better from the last time she saw him. Found he was in a much better mood than before - or at least handling himself better - so Naoki ended up giving him grooms bc that's what i do when ur ma friend. Spent the rest of her day there with him until it started pouring and both headed for cover underneath one of the playground rocks. And Nao just HUFF seeing all her hard grooming work go down the drain bc of the dang rain. SO had to groom again.. get mom'd grim, welcome to nao's form of friendship. Noting his dismay with the rain, suggested his offer from a long long long time ago to do a movie thing Bullet points for summary of the past days: + Daire is great 10/10 + Lia and Nao are cool again bc they both made sad faces at each other and apologized + Nao avoids all life responsibilities by only showering and sitting by herself + Attempting to ignore/not believe Llyr's dead bc no body means she's ok right + CROW FRIEND CAN TALK + Talked to Rhea about the Wollunka beb situation and got more insight and Rhea was super nice and gave a lot of comforting words + Attempting to isolate herself bUT FAILS bc her friends are too nice and ;[ Lia made her play which made her feel better for a lil bit but then went back to showering + RHEA GAVE HER A GIFT + Missing her brother lots so p much sits at his old den all the time i think that kinda sums it up and will expound on the bullets later.. maybe also doin some edits to relationships/other bio info/etc so im sorry for random bumps when u just tryin to be emo but then lia comes and makes u have fun and u end up doing some questionable things Sought out Liathe in the morning, asking how she was doing. Had a moment of shock when the dragoness filled her in on what was happening with a certain doe that was carrying the spawn(s) of Wollunka. Immediate switch went off in the Painted, feeling a whirlwind of emotions and thoughts flowing through her head at once and backed away from Lia to process it all. Couldn't even say her view on the matter properly, babbling a bunch of words together but then called the unknown doe a fool (BUT IN SOME WAY was actually...calling herself a fool bc well...that could've easily been Naoki in a similar situation had she not fought). Also saying things how there isn't good in everyone, how you can't trust beasts like Wollunka or what his kids would even be like. Had to walk away and set her head against a tree to regain her composure and was sure she was going to vomit, but instead whirled around on Liathe when the Opal tried to apologize to her. Pretty much accused her of being reckless with her life for trying to get involved with this, asking her to think of the future if those fawns ended up growing into monsters and turning against Liathe. Told her to think of how others would be effected, how she or Fletcher would be effected by it all. Couldn't...even imagine that...But her emotions were running too high and was beginning to find it too hard to breath so instead of staying to listen to what the Opal would reply, she turned on her heals and barreled further into the Forest. Couldn't stick around because she knew Liathe would convince her (Nao) otherwise or try to calm her down which was the last thing she wanted right now. She needed her to know how hurt she was by this, how much she hated this decision, and how dangerous it all was. Ended up not really running far before collapsing some where in the Birch Forest in a mesh of tall grass so she could try to find her breathing and clear her thoughts. Not...really working well...so instead turned into a sobbing mess feeling an overwhelming feeling of hatred for the Forest and weakness to not feel in control over anything, much less her own emotions or actions. Joined by her mother at one point and sat with her, venting to Yumama about what happened. But after Yumi parted, wandered to a nearby blueberry patch where she sat down alone as she simply only wanted to isolate herself for now. Ended up curling up to fall asleep. Awoke to Daire sitting nearby and gave him a guilty look, immediately confessing to snapping at Lia since she was already beginning to feel bad about it. To which he had already heard, but he asked if she wanted to talk about it. Crawled over to sit beside him and try to hide her face while stating her side of the story, Hush being generous and hugging her close so she wouldn't have to worry about trying to hide the emotion on her face. All had to deal with Wollunka and his coming offspring, fearful of what the future would hold for everyone with those kids. Got completely thrown through a loop when Daire changed the perspective to fit him, confessing some things that...completely weighed down on Naoki's mind and heart. Again like in the morning, had a small moment of panic when she couldn't control her emotions or thoughts; everything racing at once. Though the panic only lasted a moment, feeling comfort from her friend's presence and support. And although she needed a lot more time to think about it all to fully comprehend it, she obliged in trying to be more understanding. Mostly for Daire's sake and for anyone out there going through similar situation as he had. Curled up to him after the talk, receiving affections and grooms from him that she basked in until she heard Farren's cry in the distance. Dad plz this was supposed to be a chill night. REGARDLESS ran off in a panic towards the fight, only catching the end of it when he was against two females. Stood on the sidelines, listening as close as she could but didn't get more details until the wolf limped her way and informed her on what had happened; Llyr had died and one of the does (Halla) had stolen something from her body. ALSO at some point was joined by a fawn (Vadoma) who was trying to approach Farren and the does, bringing the child back so she wouldn't be in harms way. But at receiving the news about Llyr, her heart dropped and was the last thing she was expecting. Had absolutely no idea how to process it, so instead talked to Farren surprisingly calmly. Parted ways with the wolf and then returned to Daire who had followed from before, pressing her face to his side because what is going on today. Felt almost numb to it all, her emotions shot for the day. Agreed to taking a break from the Forest for the night, not sure how much more she'd handle in this state of mind. Said goodbye to Vadoma who had been standing with them as well, giving the fawn a boop on the head and telling her to find her again sometime. Then lead Daire to the portal, taking him to the cottage for the night with her. Better mental day today. Passed out some more tulips during the day (Liathe, Fenrir, Yumi, Izumi, Eden) and only had two more left, already knowing who she wanted to give them to: Rahal and Daire. Sat in a flower patch nearby her uncle's tree, playing look out for him but low-key hoped he wouldn't show up because...isn't sure how he'll react to her now. Might take it more to heart if he gives her the cold shoulder and too fragile for this rn. BUT stayed put just in case, gonna be an adult and...try...at least. Later joined by Daire and a raven Akos. Happily accepted their company, grabbing her tulip bag to give Daire the only red tulip she had picked. Ducked her head at his way of thanking her, glad for her dark colored fur to hide any blush, but then passed the last tulip for Akos. Though this was the first time meeting him, figured he couldn't be too bad if he was Daire's friend. Made a mental note to return to the cottage to pick another for Rahal tomorrow since he was a no-show today anyways. Also joined by Farren later on. Despite having a rough night prior, woke up wanting to do at least a little good today. So, naturally went flower picking before returning to the Forest and hit up some precious deer to hand out tulips (aka Fletcher, Rhea, and Ehsan). THEN got into a mood and put the rest of her tulip bag in Hiro's den (bc she's using that as a closet lately 8/ ) and paced around. Spent her time semi-stalking Wollunka and the rest pacing from place to place until finally settling in the birch where she attempted to catch up on her sleep but still couldn't manage to stay asleep without waking up in a small panic. Eventually joined by Yumi, Nao happy to have her mother's company but stayed quiet. Eventually prompted by her mother to talk, to which Nao again confessed some stuff which she could tell kinda upset Yumi by her disapproving mom frowns. Received nuzzles and support from Yumama, which ofc brought Nao to tears again bc everything makes her cry now. Especially hearing Yumi say she was proud of her (Naoki) anD JUST took it straight to heart to hear that. Thanked her mother, finally curling up to sleep beside her. Awoke in a much better mood and quickly made her way to pick up the tulip bag. First went to search out Grim, dubbing him as a 'flower' kind of guy especially after decorating him in them on her last visit. But when she approached realized the male's emotional state, hesitating as she approached. Set down a tulip beside him before backing away and asking if he wanted her to stay or not for company. Understood when he declined and tried her best to offer any words of encouragement before giving a nod of her head and being on her way once again. Next took her bag to Farren, offering him one as well and from there went to search out Liathe where she...found her...pulling out a drowning kid. Kind of stood on the sidelines because she had no idea how to help before spotting Fletcher nearby with a handful of fawns (Jude, Steini, Rasui) with an unknown one (Rasui) very wounded. Left her tulip bag by the pond's log and then headed over to find out what happened, being informed that the child that was just rescued was the one who attacked the other kid. Thought it was pretty obvious what should be done, but y'know... Nao not too keen on random predators lately sigh. After leaving her two cents with Fletcher, went back to look at Liathe with the kid and now also joined by Rhea. Gave lots of disapproving frowns, not really...sure what should be done in this situation but kind of thought maybe the kid shouldn't have been rescued from the pond...but kept her trap shut and just kept judging from a distance. After Rhea parted with the trouble child and Liathe went to the hurting one, Naoki ran off to HELLA LATE UPDATES SIGH Despite not waking up to any nightmares this morning, still felt anxious throughout the morning. First found her sleeping mother and nuzzled her before then moving off to Liathe at the pond. Exchanged a grooms with her but then went off to check on Izumi who had one of their siblings and their mother around. Sat at a distance, hoping to help...ease? her presence of slowly coming around more. But then her anxiety got the best of her and she stood to go shower in the crying idol and hoping that would wake her up. From that point on, couldn't stay in one place for too long. Went to Hiro's den, to the birch hill, to sitting with Rhea, but eventually going to sit with Yumi. Sat there the longest, curling up to her mother until a wave of nausea hit her and she had to get up and leave. Pressed her head against a tree, not budging even when Steini showed up. I'm sorry I can be yo mama today child. But Steini worriedly circled her, so Naoki decided to move off to the pond where the cooler water helped distract her. Eventually also joined by Jude, though by that point Naoki was dozing in and out of sleep. Felt an impulse to run away from the young ones so she could be alone and they wouldn't have to worry, or at least Steini wouldn't have to worry, but figured - much like last time - that would only cause more panic to the hatchling. Liathe found them eventually, laying down in the water beside Naoki and lifting the Painted's head out of the water to rest on her instead. Naoki didn't say anything and didn't argue, instead just stayed laying there. A few wordless tears passed, the Opal soon encouraging Naoki out of the water and up on the pond's bank instead. She also sent Steini and Jude off to play before speaking to her. With only a little bit of coaxing, confessed some feelings she had; namely Wollunka's events: "You were thinking of it?" she asked gently. A silent nod. "I think of it more than I'd like to.." "Ah, yes..." she exhaled, nodding as well. "The bad things in life always have a knack of coming back for us more often than we would like them to." Liathe paused, turning her eyes towards her. "It is alright to cry over it, though." At Liathe's words, she's quiet again. Her head is tucked, still staring at the ground. "B-but...he...he has so much power over me when I'm like this...and he's not even around..." "Power...?" Seeker shook her head, humming. "There is no power he has over you, Naoki. None whatsoever," firmly, but with a gentle air, still. "You got away from him. What does that say? What of the power you had over him when he ran through the forest in a rage, because you had gotten away from him? You had driven him mad with your triumph over him." She repositioned her head to get a better look at Mehendi. "He is not around, no," she reaffirmed. "And he will never know these moments. There is nothing wrong with these moments." P MUCH LIATHE just knows all the right things to say to Naoki ;[ Which made her a lil more emotional, leading to more embraces and words of wisdom and just sigh ilysm. After a few more emotional confessions and taking all of what Seeker said to heart, curled up beside her companion and fell asleep more content than she was before. After waking, went back to the cottage to help distract herself by working on art projects. when yesterday night you run around naked with your bff and then the next day you have a man watch you shower nao what are you turning into jk sigh Adding lil snippits to relationships until i work up the muse to fully write them sigh. Spent most of the rainy morning in Rhona's company, seeking out the fellow doe when she noticed her sitting by herself in the rain. Got kind of worried Rho might've been cold so sat a lot closer than she normally would, hoping to provide some sort of warmth to her. Stayed with her until standing up to stretch her bones and wandering. Had a talk with Aima in the afternoon after she sought him out again, asking how he was doing and kind of...got uncomfortable when he brought up her lack of antlers. Or rather, the lack of antlers on her head. Since she was having a relatively good mental health day, didn't retreat as she normally would but definitely lost her 'optimistic' tone that she was carrying. In the end, despite Aima bringing up some gruesome topics, Naoki felt herself being surprisingly entertained. Found his way of speaking and describing things to be almost...childlike? So followed his sentences as such. Soon joined by Steini and another young one, politely ignoring how Aima reacted to them. BUT bid him farewell when she went to take the children out of the rain but ran into Liathe just as she was leaving. Together, the two females brought them away. EVENTUALLY ENDED UP Nao being the mother hen today, just like Lia sigh what have u done to me. Had four fawns with her at one point, not really minding them especially since Izumi and Steini were in the pile and well...she's adopted those ones ]; And also: Rhye115 - Today at 2:40 PM I'm just picturing Nao's face as these fawns crawl under her "I didn't even know where babies came from until two weeks ago" She's ready to be a mother now. Usual morning play with Liathe and Fletcher, also being joined by Talla at some point. Broke off from the group when she scented Aima, went to be quiet company to the male as she hadn't scented him in Forest for awhile. But after he too wandered off, stood up to stretch her bones. Originally was going to go to Izumi but instead wandered into the birch forest to bask in the rain. Got thoroughly soaked and cold but the feeling was a welcomed distraction, despite having a pretty good mental health day. Stood to seek shelter under trees eventually and wandered deeper into the birch. Scented Rahal so she grabbed a blueberry branch that she planned to leave next to him if he were sleeping. Caught sight of him and sat at a distance, eying up to see his reaction. Though didn't receive anything, not even flattening his ears as she drew closer. Was so shocked at how he was appearing neutral to her, suddenly felt a tinge of worry that maybe he was sick or hurting? So mustered up more courage to approach him closer, trying to hush the inner voice she had that said 'run away'. OFC LAST TIME SHE DID THat she got rekt so still kept a tree between them when she finally spoke up to him, asking if he was all right. Was genuinely surprised to hear his response, not even hinting an aggressive tone towards her. Offered the blueberry branch to him, not quite sure if he would even like them but fkn made her day when he said he liked them. Cautiously inched over to bring him the branch but quickly left after that, definitely on a cloud nine. Has no idea what this small interaction might mean for the future but nevertheless was extremely honored and excited by it all. Chased after Liathe's scent, still in high spirits and kind of chuckled when she found the Opal and Rhea standing as umbrellas (or making a 'fort') for a mini Fletch and a bunch of bebs. Liathe Awoke in a more content mood, despite the rain. Sought out Fletcher and Yvaine before being pulled into a round of play, soon being over taken by Liathe when the dragoness rushed to join. After things dwindled down, sat beside Hiro's den for awhile. Missing him more lately through all these things and quietly wondering if he was holding up well...wished there was some way to communicate with him just to know he was at least alive. Would have to nag him about that later, or at least tell him to check in more. But soon enough she headed back to Yumi to curl up with her mother for the rest of the afternoon. At some point during the evening, awoke to a loud ruckus aka a group attacking Roanen nearby and Naoki just nope'd and slipped into the den until the fight went elsewhere. Definitely noted Daire's involvement in the mix but didn't have the pull to check things out herself...or feel like she could be any help even if she did try to intervene like she used to. Plus that guy terrified her, so instead threw on her helmet and went to go check up on Liathe who was with a new youngster. Nuzzled her, and also Rhea when the hyena periodically joined the two, but otherwise remained rather distant...keeping herself busy by keeping her eyes and ears on everything that was going on. Didn't feel the usual bravery she did in these situations; instead just kind of feeling numb. Could've been from being still half asleep or her anxiety wearing on her again, either way headed back to the den when things seemed to be calming down. After being joined by Steini and fully waking herself (Naoki) up, lead the young one to go check on Daire. Glad to see he was in one piece, even though she still had a lingering sense of worry for him. Invited him out of the rain when she had to take Steini away, to which he answered he'd catch up with them after his temper cooled. Ended up taking the hatchling back to Hiro's den since it's not like anyone's using it anymore sigh. Settled down with Steini, glad to be out of the rain though still enjoying the background noise. Slipped off her mask, hoping the rest of the evening would be calm now that the storm passed. Soon rejoined by Daire. One day I'll give a proper update to the relationships...and add a new section...sigh Sat watching the fountain in the morning and was joined by Rhea at one point. The Painted's demeanor grew colder as Rhea brought up Wollunka and 'that one doe', now making it known she's related to him. Said this could be a possible way to peace and Naoki silently shied away from the idea. But spoke honestly and said she'd do whatever the group wished to do but would never tolerate Wollunka or Cierna anywhere near her (Naoki). Then told Rhea of how the antlered doe had tried to apologize to Yumi for Wollunka's actions, but Nao making sure to add that it wasn't any of her (Cierna's) business in the first place and no apology would make up for what had happened. After being stripped of both Naoki's antlers and dignity she honestly doubted she'd ever forgive Wollunka, especially not to a stranger who wasn't even involved in the attack. But after saying all of that and Rhea quietly giving a word of agreement, Naoki relaxed once more and went back to her gentle attitude. Nuzzled the hyena and got maternal at her again because what even are Naoki's emotions lately and fell into a quiet silence after Rhea returned the gesture. Ended up falling asleep while player afk'd v-v Awoke to Liathe snugged up to her and gave a sleepy nuzzle to her sister-mom before realizing Rhona had also joined. Gave a bow of greeting, settling back down. Spent most of her day in Rhona's quiet company before falling asleep once more. Happy to wake up the next time to Daire, happily grooming him in silent greeting. Once satisfied with how groomed he was, grew restless and attempted sitting up on him. Slid down to give small grooms between leaning on her friend until he offered checking out the commotion by the pond to aid her energy. Another mood swing hit when she remembered how she behaved yesterday after joining a group and that was just mostly around fawns so declined the offer but it was fine if he wanted to. Content when he said he'd stay and relaxed even more after being joined by Steini, always feeling a more mental stability when the younger one is around for some reason. Had a relatively good day, especially after being on such an energy high yesterday. Ended up quickly grooming Yumi and Liathe in the morning, also making sure to shower each female with nuzzles, which soon lead to her at a stalemate when she approached Grim bc she wasn't...quite sure...how to spread the cheer to him? So instead decorated him in flowers. And then visited Mura but I can't remember what else happened SIGH. Was in another relatively good mood today, spending most of the morning/afternoon with Yumi before leaving for the cottage for awhile. Returned to the Forest and was quickly found by Steini and Naoki gave the raptor child a nuzzle in greeting. Still feeling pretty chill so took her to the pond, attempting to teach the hatchling how to play more but got a chill run up her back to see Wollunka's friend across the way. Noted Rhea with her as well but trusts the hyena enough not to have to worry about that. Ended up bringing Steini to Farren who was sitting with the fawns Ichor and Keidasi. Grew increasingly more uncomfortable and on edge the more she sat, soon realizing today wasn't going to be a chill day for her like yesterday. Ended up bolting from the group, feeling claustrophobic and like she was going to hurl. Jumped when she realized Farren had followed her and could hardly even form proper sentences to explain herself. Was instructed to sit and finally opened up to the male about what happened, especially since he had been there the night after it had all happened. Ended up receiving some words of solace from the older male and ALSO got kind of embarrassed when all the smols followed them over and just... didn't mean to cause a scene. Calmed down from her panic from earlier and felt worn out once again, remaining quiet after all was said and done. Her first friend she got to bring over and wanted to show him every where. And also cooking lessons, but looking at my house is cooler ;[ Today was a roller coaster as she started her day by waking up from a nightmare of Wollunka. Been pretty plagued by the nightmares but they seemed to be steadily growing worse and isn't...quite sure how to handle them? But slipped her mask on and tried to snap herself out of it. Which when Grim was peeking at her from behind a tree, that kind of...snapped her out of the near panic attack bc distractions. Then their spar, which Grim had promised yesterday, commenced and was...extremely awkward for Naoki at first since she wasn't used to fighting with such a small crown. Would panic anytime he'd try to go behind her, even though she knew that's just...what you do in a fight...but would run behind a tree to chill herself out. Needed a few breathers in between but soon got the rhythm (kinda) of things. And also getting this extra energy out felt good. Plus Grim was bein a goof and ;[ made her feel more comfortable in their play/spar. BUT just like their last spar, she failed to have as much stamina as him and called it quits well before he seemed to be ready. Went to be in the river for a little bit to cool herself off and then the bad thoughts came back and wasn't quite sure how to deal with it. So stalked off to the blue bowl, hoping for more distractions but just...couldn't. So stood for a long while with her head against a tree and feeling like she was going to vomit. Then got spooked by absolutely nothing, literally just a thought of being alone and vulnerable, and ran back to her mother in a sobbing mess. Got soothed by her, eventually calming down and now feeling even more exhausted than before. Only left once but quickly returned again, not feeling in the mood to be with others and not wanting to stray too far from Yumi. Stood around on guard for awhile, not really from anything in particular other than giving herself something to do. But after Yumi left, the Painted crawled into the den to sleep. Awoke in another panic, barreling out of the den but stopping to catch her breath when she noticed Liathe. When the Opal approached closer, had another heart-to-heart with her. Admitted she wasn't sure if she'd actually be able to fight again, as the spar with Grim had left her a lot more shaken up than she had thought in the moment. Since, well, kinda made her realize how weak she is now (': But regardless, received comfort from the older female. Also had some solace that, on a different note, Liathe also experienced nightmares of Wollunka. At least it made Naoki feel like less of a wimp. Went on to other conversations but later bid her sister-mom a goodnight when the Painted grew tired once more. Stuck close to the den once more, feeling too exhausted both physically and mentally to leave. BUT THEN SURPRISE visit from Farren. Thankful he was in a lazy mood and just wanted to chill. Awkwardly stood around at first, but when he didn't ask what happened, relaxed a lot more and invited him to sit. He excused himself momentarily only to return with a flower crown for her, which he placed on her head and Naoki had to restrain herself from crying bc such a sweet warrior sigh. Was kept company by for a short while before he stood to go, to which Naoki made sure to thank him again and wished him to feel better (SINCe he was kinda not feelin the best). Though she hadn't said it, was admittingly avoiding him (and others) that hadn't seen her without her antlers just yet...so with that visit out of the way, would be sure to keep an ear out for again. Not long after approached her mother for company. Asked if it would be all right to have Daire over on Monday, which she obliged as long as there was no sleeping over. Happy enough with the answer, snuggled up to her mother once more only to disappear once to bring them back blueberries to munch on. Spent quite sometime in her mother's company but eventually wandered off on her own. Instinctively next went to check on Izumi who seemed to be with a friend. Sat next to them though still giving enough space to not...be a...smothering aunt. Then the doe from a few days ago (Rhona) also joined. Surprised but welcomed her nonetheless after an awkward moment of...trying to decide where exactly to sit between Rhona and the fawns. Ended up settling by the fawns once more after Rhona spoke up about it. AND Lia also showed up to which Nao was even more delighted over. And basked in the grooms she offered vuv As soon as she woke the Copperheart scented Liathe and quickly rushed over. Was thankful when Fletcher stood up, making sure to nuzzle him (and also greet Rhea with a sniff), and then she quickly scooted to the Opal and began frantically grooming her in an attempt to help. Accidentally woke her at one point to which she gave a small smile to Naoki, which helped ease her a bit...so, continued a more relaxed grooming method until she was satisfied and cuddled up to her friend. After sitting there for quite some time, spotted Yumi nearby and remembered what Daire had told her yesterday. Bid a goodbye to the dragons, and with a quick detour to grab her helmet, went to talk with her mother. Inquired about why Wollunka's friend talked with her yesterday and felt a twist of disgust at finding the answer; that she had come to apologize for the Silverback's actions. Was briefly grateful that the other doe had said this to Yumi and not herself as Naoki wasn't quite sure how she herself would've reacted to this. But was glad to hear that bother her (Naoki) and her mother were on the same page about it. Then filled Yumi in on some details from yesterday. Soon stood to move off towards the pond. Definitely noted Wollunka's friend nearby, though primarily focused on her thoughts. Caught off guard when Rhea approached her to offer some words of solace, to which Naoki definitely took to heart. Teared up (bc her reaction to everything nowadays is to cry (8 ) but thanked the hyena, truly moved by her words. Had absolutely no idea how to show her gratitude, especially when the Warpaint's words always failed her when this topic was brought up. But then Rhea took her leave, leaving Naoki at the pond. Had a brief visit from the wolf she'd met a few days ago (Andreii), though Naoki was still lost in thought for the most part. Slipped her mask back on and wandered for awhile, eventually plopping down in a blueberry bush only to push the helmet back off once she was settled. Spacey, mixed emotions. Went to Izumi at some point, catching sight of her nephew with another smol and then also Hammel. Huffed at that, staring daggers from underneath her mask at the male for being so close to Izumi. Let alone allowing to be alone with children.. Was soon spotted by Izumi and subtly lead him away from the (in her eyes) predator. Went to a small bout of play but soon settled back down, rejoining the other fawn after Hammel parted. Next sought out Liathe (and the raptor bab also joining at some point) and had an eery talk about Ioten which made warning bells go off in Naoki's head. Tried to help give the best advice that she could, namely to not trust the male at all or to be alone with him since...well...Nao learned that lesson the hard way. But parted from her friend to crash at her den, leaving Steini in the dragon's care. Awoke some hours later to Daire curled up with her and was delighted by that. Gladly excepted her friend's cuddles, mostly keeping quiet company except for asking if he was still up to coming over and setting an actual date for it. Would be sure to clear it with her mother, of course...which would be a fragile topic, at best. Then was the copperheart's turn to curl up beside her friend to crash once again, but this time for the night. Awoke to Liathe by her side, though was quick to discover the recognizable scent in the air. Panicked for a moment, clinging to the Opal, but then forced herself to relax at least a tiny bit more. Stuck close to Liathe's side with the few exceptions of whenever Wollunka would draw near and then Lia would charge towards him but Naoki would book it the other way. Panic stricken whenever he'd draw near or when she'd hear his call, even after they joined Fletcher and his group (Talla, Ross, and Rhea). At one point, the two dragons ran off towards the Silverback when he drew near once more and Naoki stayed put staring off at the distance with wide eyes. Joined by another doe (Rhona), which having another there helped stabilize her somehow...even if it wasn't meant to be taken as direct moral support. Questioned by her, though responded with vague answers; too focused on the fight at hand and trying to close herself off from the old memories. Scooted away to check on Fletcher and Liathe when she felt it went on for too long, dismayed to see both having wounds and also feeling guilty for not being able to help. Because she really would've loved to participate (8 Made sure to ask how both were doing before heading off to nestle up beside her mother. Calming down.. collecting herself. THEN HAVING the talk of what all happened with her mam (': bc she's an adult sigh. Went...as expected. Angry Yumama and crying Naobaby. But after she regained control of her breathing, went to go wash off in the river because even just talking about the situation made her feel disgusting. Lounged in the sun afterwards but that's when she caught scent of Yumi's and Wollunka's lingering close. Quickly rushed over, nearly having a heart attack to see her mother telling off the beast himself (MAMA BEAR). Hid behind a nearby tree, terrified, but also ready to jump in as a body obstacle if Wollunka had decided to go after Yumi herself. Was only distantly aware of Fletcher, Daire, and Steini standing nearby. Soon Liathe walked up beside her, handing her the helmet (mask + antlers WILL GET A REF OF THIS SOON) that Nao could use if things got ugly. Was the helmet Ioten had promised, made a mental note to thank him later for it but for now slipped it on. After Yumi finally left the scene, quickly ran after her mother to check if she was okay. When she didn't say anything, headed back to check on her friends. Filled them in on what happened, shocked to hear from Daire that the beast had been killed before only to return later. Felt a sense of dread in that statement, especially after hearing Wollunka's threats haunting in her head; namely that he'd go after Naoki again. Felt suddenly overwhelmed and had to go sit down but made sure to take the hatchling (Steini) with her to a safer place. AND THEN PLAYER AFK'D Awoke to a completely different feeling in the Forest; almost felt...empty. Hollow. Was first to note Wollunka's scent was gone, then next the dragons' scents gone too. Had a lingering feeling of dread but was delighted to see the child raptor had stayed by her side through the entire time. Caught Daire's scent so, with Steini in tow, went to go check up on him. Got more of the details from her friend, feeling a sense of twisted delight to hear the elk was killed. Knew he'd just come back anyways but surprisingly didn't mind that...a part in her pulling to take her share next time. Quickly smothered that thought away, disgusted by it, and soon was filled with another hollow feeling to hear Liathe had been severely hurt. Also warned about the doe that was keeping the beast company had gone to speak with Yumi afterwards. Immediately felt protective of her mother, narrowing her eyes and agreeing with Hush that she'd keep on the look out from now on. Was then quick to brush off the question when Daire asked how Naoki was holding up, saying this wasn't a time to worry about her. Daire clearly didn't believe she was 'fine' BUT WAS SAVED BY FLETCHER when he showed up to fill them in on things; namely that Liathe was hurt but was doing okay. Her stomach twisted with guilt and she had to cast her eyes away, fighting back sudden tears at the idea that the Warpaint was responsible for all of this. If only she hadn't have been such an idiot before. After Fletcher parted, Naoki was quick to take her leave as well to avoid talking about her feelings. Knew she'd probably lose it altogether and turn into another sobbing mess if Daire kept asking, and wanting to avoid that embarrassment instead gave him a nuzzle goodbye to save it for another time. Lead Steini to the den, where she attempted to teach her what the word "home" meant but then dropped her mask off inside and went to ram her Was then approached by Farren and filled him in on what happened since he also missed all the excitement. But happily showed him all her new gadgets (namely the wreath she was wearing and then the mask Ioten gave her) when he had noticed her filed down antlers. Soon after that fell asleep though, ready for the day to end on a better-ish note. Returned to Forest from being away at the cottage, though didn't feel like visiting anyone just yet. Wandered a bit, feeling slightly more...capable of sitting in a different spot alone. So, made herself comfy in a flower patch where she sat quietly to watch the butterflies. When a stranger sat down nearby (Andrei), grew overly anxious and stood up on her hooves. Kneaded them into the ground nervously, not sure if she should bolt or not but quickly backed away when he stood to come closer and sniff her. Knew full well she probably looked insane but just... sigh i'm still scared of my own shadow. When he didn't show any immediate threats, tried getting closer to sniff him a few times but each time got freaked out and backed away. But after he showed a bit goofy side on his part, kind of relaxed... After all, she wasn't in a totally isolated area this time and spotting individuals nearby if something were to happen again T^T So sat herself back down, still obviously shaky and nervous though trying to push her wimpier side down. Trying to stay positive, despite the recent events, and remembering her promise to not allow it to completely change her. SO JUST GET A MORE nervous Naoki for now v n v Trying to be chill, despite her constant worry glances towards the wolf, even though his demeanor didn't threaten her at all; aka didn't feel like he was gonna eat her for a snack or anything else. Later snugged herself against the crying idol until soon being found by Fletcher and Liathe, which Fletcher then offered her the antler wreath to wear around her neck (consisting of one of her antlers and two of Liathe's). Excitedly slipped in on, being sure to thank the Dragon Spine for making it for her. Felt more secure with it on. When he sat nearby, was then approached by Liathe who got to work on Naoki's jagged antler nubs. Sanded them down and sharpened them, even carving a very subtle curly design on it. When she had finished, the Copperheart raced to the pond to inspect her reflection and nearly burst with excitement. Quickly rushed back to the dragon pair where they were soon swept up in play to celebrate, which was the first time in the past few days she could rejoice over something. THEN HAD SOME immediate regrets upon saying yes because...had anxious thoughts that maybe it'd be tainted some how...or what would happen if she'd have to fight him off one day with the very thing he gave her. AND Nao stayed quiet the entire time bc plz don't look at me and my nubs. But after he left, relaxed once more. Recieved a warning from Lia to not put the helmet on until she and Fletcher both thoroughly inspected it, whenever it may come. Agreed to that. AND MAYBE add more to this later sigh Felt significantly better in the morning, though woke to a dizzying headache. Took a few minutes for it to clear for the most part, but once it did she headed back to the den with her mother in tow. Soon after that, still didn't feel quite at home so mentioned to Yumi that she would be instead heading to the cottage, in which case Yumi was more than free to come with of course. Kind of...iffy about the whole topic of what happened and whether she should bring it up or not. Knew her mother must be curious, but feared bringing her even more anxiety. Voted on keeping it to herself, unless being specifically brought up. Knew it'd probably be a topic of conversation at some point, even if the Copperheart wanted to avoid it for as long as she could. Awoke beside her mother feeling...extremely frustrated with her situation. Went back to the pond to glare at her reflection, trying to quiet some darkening thoughts. Jumped when Daire approached but quickly shrugged that off, not being able to look at her friend. Tensed when he put medicine on her wounds before she let some twisted words escape her lips. Apologized for saying it afterwards, knowing it wasn't who she was yet she couldn't control her thoughts at the moment. He offered some words of truth and then solace, to which Naoki vowed she wouldn't let the beast get the best of her. Gave him an embrace and thanked him, soon to head back to her mother. Stood up again only because she was beginning to get anxious, decided she should try sharpening the nubs on her head. Then was approached by Fletcher, who offered her some fatherly advice. Was...kind of embarrassed by it, but still nonetheless thankful for his help yesterday and today. And when he offered to take her antler and Liathe's antlers to make a wreath for her, she obliged. Felt a pinch of her heart, knowing her friends were far better people than she could ever hope to be. But after a few more aching attempts at scraping at the tree, returned to her mother to rest more. Even though she was feeling better today, still felt hesitant to leave her mother's side after feeling the need to venture out. Too many people at the pond so instead hobbled over towards the den, feeling semi secure there considering now she would be able to fit into the den if anything happened...stomped around a few times, still attempting to jab her antler-nubs into trees. Still feeling morbid, not knowing what to do with herself. Nao just:  BUT THEN returned to her mama to rest with, because she wanted to curl up beside her for a bit. Didn't get back up until she saw Liathe and Fletcher nearby, to which she quickly made her way over towards the dragons. Was thrilled to hear Liathe compliment her sharpened "nubs" and agreed happily to the Opal carving them. And even more so excited at the offer to train on each other while Liathe was in her deer form. Happy stuff. Feeling-better-Nao. Saw a doe (Talla) being followed by Ioten and Nao just 8l HMMM. Wasn't quite sure what to do bc the doe was clearly in distress but it didn't seem that Ioten was actually...attacking? Instead lurked and watched, calling once to try and grab his attention to her instead. Didn't really work. Liathe ran over then, explaining something briefly that there was a truce with the beast. Grumbled at that as the dragon quickly ran off to check on the situation herself and left the War-Paint to stomp off to the pond kind of irritated. Didn't realize Wollunka was there as well until he spooked her by coming up to her. Relaxed though, surprisingly not really...freaked out by his company today as she was more focused on the other 'threat' in Forest. Stood her ground and would back up every time he tried to put his head on her back but he seemed to give up eventually and chilled with her. Was shockingly comfortable in his company after he stopped trying to get so close to her and trotted around the forest with the male. Kind of hid behind him when he stopped near Liathe and Fletcher and Nao just don't look at me. Knew they were probably worried out of their minds, because she would be too if the situation was reversed, but still in that kind of mindset where she just...didn't see the immediate threat currently. After all, it seemed Ioten wasn't really a threat either anymore. Relaxed more when they left that scene and went to the birch, where he questioned why she hid from them. Replied they were just worried, but remained closed off to him. Was chill with his company at that moment but wasn't ready to open up to him. And then when he got too close again, she jumped backwards and flattened her ears at the male. Which finally pissed him off and sent him into a rage, Naoki managing to stab him in the eye to get him to back off of her but before she could run off he caught her by her antlers and shook her around like a rag doll. That is, until there was a loud audible snap and the Copperheart was free; not even realizing her antlers had snapped off in the process. Instead just took the opportunity to run, stumbling the entire time from her trembling body which gave Wollunka enough time to catch up and jab one of her antlers into her back. Let out a loud cry but couldn't focus on the pain, not with her adrenaline pumping as much as it was. Didn't stop running into she caught sight of Fletcher, and Liathe soon approaching as well, and she came to an abrupt stop. Couldn't even get a word out, spastically hyperventilating and tears streaming down her face. Then began feeling the pain of the antler stuck in her, and it didn't take much for the dragons to piece together what had happened. Liathe departed in a rage but Fletcher instructed Naoki to calm down so he could pull the antler out of her. Let out a loud shriek when it happened, looking up to see what exactly was pulled out and she just... my own antler. Returned to be a sobbing mess, whimpering about her antlers and collapsed to the ground. Crawled over to the nearest tree to sob uncontrollably into, feeling an overwhelming amount of emotions coursing through her. Couldn't even fully comprehend what had happened, only kind of snapping out of her blind tears when her mother appeared at her side; humming quietly and grooming her. Whimpered more, clinging to her mother but not sobbing as uncontrollably now. Not really being able to speak at the moment, so when Liathe asked to take Naoki's one antler (the one pulled out of her), the Copperheart gives an inaudible nod of her head. Hides her face back into Yumi's legs until Liathe returns with not only Naoki's now clean antler but two of Liathe's own as well, which she had snapped off. "And now you may have three," the dragoness said to her. And she just...sobs uncontrollably more bc she's so overwhelmed and appreciative of Liathe yet couldn't manage the words at the moment. Instead reached her head out to nuzzle her and then go back to clinging to Yumi. Vaguely aware of the presences of others in the group (altogether Liathe, Rhea, and Fletcher) when she hides her face away in her mother. Is silently, overwhelmingly appreciative to have them around, even if she couldn't express it at the moment. Eventually her tears dried up and instead just laid her head down with her eyes staying wide open. A shaky breath every once in while, but keeping herself still. Roused her head when Rhea brought over a wooden bowl full of water and silently thanked the hyena, still finding her voice lost for now. Would give small sips out of the bowl but stayed where she was at for the most part. Watched quietly as a conversation took place between Rhea and Ioten nearby. Didn't say a word during the entire thing, but could tell there was a significant amount of tension in the air. Gave a wordless nod when Rhea asked if she was alright, after Ioten had parted. Admired the hyena's bravery, though didn't say it out loud. At some point after that, fell asleep. Stirred not too long after she had initially fell asleep, but stood to walk (more like limp, the antler injury right at the base of her neck really hindering movement bc everything fkn hurts that) towards the pond and just...stare blankly at her reflection. Felt a growing feeling of disgust, especially at the ugly, jagged 'twigs' that were left there after the majority of it was snapped off. Didn't move from her spot until Liathe approached and Naoki switched over to clinging to the other female. Followed her over to a flower patch, where she slowly (between short moments to catch her breath or to let out a sob or two) filled her in on what fully happened. Was beyond touched by Liathe's encouragement and love she showed Naoki afterwards, not even knowing how to express her thanks to the dragoness. But at the topics that were brought up, Liathe soon lead to having the talk with Nao and educating her on how babies are made (8 (Yes, good. 19/20 in human years but finally figuring it all out LOL) BUT, after finding that out, and then learning of what the male had been attempting to do, she felt sick to her stomach. Had to stand up and walk a few paces away in case she had to hurl her guts out, feeling a wave of different emotions run through her. Mainly felt extremely pissed off and humiliated, wanting nothing more than to find the male and fully take out his eye this time. But then went back to being sad bc she doesn't even have the antlers to do that anymore. Was eventually lead back to her sleeping mother, feeling a little bit better but still sick. Had every intention of staying there the rest of the night until Farren approached and asked if she 'needed a hug'. Naoki didn't actually reply, still kind of iffy with speaking, but instead let out a small whimper and went to the male. Couldn't believe after just one day how much had changed and was extremely thankful that he didn't really fully ask what happened either. But soon returned back to her mother to sleep for the night. |
