A lot of things have been going on for him, words he's had a hard time forming in his own mind. While the bull has slept around mostly in the sun spots, he's been elsewhere entirely. His aloofness having become somehow a defense mechanism.
While he's been witness to what was a recent fight between others in the forest and finding others he felt protective of was new for him. Was it the war memories coming back or just the haunt of his past tricking him into something less?
He couldn't be sure and he had no intentions of mulling that over anymore. But someone else had caught his attention unlike anyone else he'd met.
Being the way he is, he spent most of his time keeping a fair distance but enough to gaze upon them and allow her to gaze in return. "Omi" he's heard going around. And yet there they were keeping each other company and closely so. And he was moved to finally and eventually say something, because what stirred in his soul was something deeper.

Been meeting lots of new faces, and a few that stirs up some old aggression he'd forgotten existed. Amused, aloof, and maxing out on sleeping as much as one can. Calm, focused, and remembering his ways of old slowly. Hasn't minded the occasional and curious visits/staring from others. Will continue to lurk and ponder.
recent → Mostly lurking, napping, trying to not overheat and maintain maximum aloofness. Appreciative of the occasional company from others, but otherwise still dragging his hooves. The coma sensation still hasn't worn off yet. Missing Lady, but still unsure of himself in some ways. These be unusual times for him having since returned to the forest. Brent is growing, quietly and slowly. Mental: 95% | Physical: 98% | Emotional: ??? he's good tho
3/16 Met with a gal named Lady -- enjoyed his time. Recovering from old wounds and that past of his creeping up his back making his bones ache. Sluggish, slow, but not of any complete inability. Prefers to sulk, menacingly stare whenever he can. Although there seems to be something new about him, a reconciling of sorts, he is too lazy to care even though he'd like to rip open his heart and lay it on the floor. The conversation Lady provided was comforting in a way he didn't know he exactly needed, either. Lots of napping today.
OVERVIEW

• While he can be rather anti-social he still likes and may have a need to meet new faces. Depends on what day you catch him on.
• Brent has a habit of lurking around the place and often prefers to watch from a distance. In these instances, he's more than likely lost in thought and may not seem like he's aware of what's going on. But he more than likely is intentionally acting aloof.
• Brent who is basically lava, emits smoke from his nostrils, sides, and mouth every now and then. This is often a light puff of black smoke that doesn't linger to long and eventually evaporates. It is a generally warm sensation and can provide minimal moisture to the air.
IN-GAME INTERACTION
➽ Sneezing antlers excessively: someone gonna get their butt whooped and Brent isn't happy.
➽ Rubbing on trees: Territory marking, also seen as a sign of comfortability but otherwise guarding and being protective of an established area/others around him.
→ You can find him resting in sun spots, these are his happy places. Note: He might light on fire if he stays in the heat too long.
BODY
→ He has a neat ability in which he can retract the spines/spikes all along his body. This is something he does when he feeling nice, nice. This is a sign of trust, comfortability, and respect for another.
→ The boy is basically LAVA. He is and can be a personal furnace for anyone. He has a strange ability to be able to regulate extreme heat with ease and does not suffer easily from hot temperatures. Please do not overheat the Brent.
→ His fur is coarse and rough, in some areas behind his ears and under his legs a more velvet like fur can be found. The flies like him and will often bite at him.
→ He has full use and range of his muscles, and at any point and time is ready to go for any occasion.
GENERAL
→ He loves taking long baths in the pond, can be found rolling about in the water like a child because he massive. This helps him to cool down.

• Brent isn't aggressive towards fawns/babies, even he has his limits and he understands some things are best just left untouched. He wishes to have children of his own someday.

His parents never liked him much, nor did anyone around him growing up. He spent his early years living the army life and enjoying it. It was his only escape. He had no real chances with his love life due to his bad reputation and having been known for his rebelliousness.
Achieved great heights in many war efforts and collected several shiny things including bodacious titles. Eventually things took a turn for the worse due to corruption and chaos finding it's way to him.

This doodle definitely doesn't do Brent justice with my limited art skills T-T ... but had been wanting to do up a piece with him in his true form... although had been picking it up, yet only to constantly leave it unfinished, since it felt like I just couldn't get Brent right. Thereon, got inspired to finally complete it after seeing the writing you did... and notably so, when the ending of what you wrote seemed to reflect the moment perfectly ;_;

Noooo, not at all!! Maybe cause Omi (and myself included hahaha) are abit of a spacey-head in the forest, so we don't feel him being intense nor pressured with the interactions being had if anything otherwise, we'd definitely be sure to communicate it! Heh.

THEIR FIRST EXCHANGE
During Omi’s waking moments, her senses tend to take on a life of their own. Colours would escape from her vision, with untangled threads from The Oak’s hums then gently weaving them together into one melodic tune, borrowing elements from those surrounding Omi and of those flowing within her, before taking on many curious behaviours and shapes... often more tangible than not.
Which are real? Which are her own? For which are meant for the ones around? She could never be sure.
As time goes by, she has learnt to notice the sound that the forest seems to echo in unison with, a distant whisper by its edges, in response to the peculiar wonders — of dreams, daydreams and those in between — alongside their drawing to Omi; never quite audibly, but rather... felt? An unspoken invitation to trust in its leading and revealing.
Sometimes, starlight would fall from Omi, taking a ride with the forest's breeze and The Oak's threads, to help guide her towards the ones she is to be led to for the day. "... Oh... there!" she'd twinkle in delight.
Today, as she always does, Omi hurried along with and eventually settled down where the specks of gold do. The silly doe purposefully hid amongst the nearby strips of tall green, allowing her to be barely seen... although seemingly in vain... as an unacquainted voice soon made itself known. Whilst that would usually cause her to feel afraid, she recognised a familiar and comforting warm presence with it... in which she knew can only belong to one. As she lifted her eyes, just enough to catch sight of the forestling standing above her, she couldn't help but twinkle a little again. Omi has never quite understood the reason for it, but there always seems to be something about Brent that just draws her right in.
Gathering herself, Omi nodded shyly to the (self-proclaimed by hers truly) gentle giant's question, before then responding like a hesistant bell chime, soft and trembling, unsure if she had answered his question well, and wondering if he would even understand her words behind the sound (3:49-3:50) he may only hear of.
"I don't know about tomorrow... but I think I found my way for the day. What about you?"

The bull tilted his head ever so slightly to the side, his fiery pupils dancing delicately among the smaller creature. He listened carefully, attentively focused on her every movement. It was an art that he had learned years ago but also something he failed to use during many occasions.
Whether it was his life in general, or the harsh training he endured-- he had picked up a few things along the way. And for whatever reason, this stirred something in his heart once he heard her speak just now. The living furnace in his belly suddenly raged like a different colored flame, but it's essence remained entirely the same.
"Omi." He whispered under his breath. "The day ahead always has its mysteriousness doesn't it?" The Obsidian lazily settled himself closely to her, resting his body among the scattered grasses. Gazing into the rest of the forest, he mulled over a few things in his head. She brought out the strangest things in him and it began to remind him of his old age.
Years he'd spent looking among these woods, and yet he'd never found a quiet language they seemed to share. He then sighed with relief and spoke gently, "Found my way as best as one could. But it's really a never ending process."
I'm sorry I left without saying goodbye. I got thrown out of the game. I dream of seeing you again and taking a peaceful walk through the forest in silence.
