Coat error

For some reason my coat on my doe won't save I, exited and restarted and it still showed up as the default and it won't stay like the one i want. How do I fix this?

Mini deer can not normally keep spells. There is a glitch you can use but it is complex and needs to be done every time you start up the game. I'm sorry I don't know how to do it myself or I would explain better.
