LOL IN A RANDOM ORDER, APPARENTLY also not done. As always.
• I have links I'd like to use when I get to Sort's section so I'll do his later at my dad's house 8c which is where those bookmarks are. I WON'T FORGET yes I will
• I'll do Her then too. She's just so well-known/ME I didn't feel like writing hers up |DDDDDDDDD
Feel free to ask questions that I can add and answer for anyone! 8D Or talk about what reminds you of them, idk~ just for fun here. ohoho. This is supposed to be a half-interaction blog like that because I have no idea what questions you really do have for them; I made all the below ones up. XD HUMOR ME.
Code
• His age, birthday, astrology and Chinese horoscope signs, element, planet, and starstone...?
Currently aged 17; born March 1st, 1993--Taurus/rooster, metal, Venus, and the emerald.
• What traits do you share with him?
We both get extremely annoyed with bug-bites and groan when we have the need to itch them. We also have the same taste in food--I adore green beans, cashews, and olives just as much as he does to the point where I beam when I see them. 8> And, just as I carry about my Japanese-English phrasebook, he has his Lithuanian-English and Lithuanian-German ones very close to him almost as much as possible. Code and I shake our legs when we sit still and try focusing on something yet space off or are nervous, too~
• What's with him and the reason behind having three different names?
Technically, Code's full name is Kodas "Code" Casimir Kulpa--all as one entitlement, but he goes by any of the first three. Kodas is Lithuanian for code, Casimir is his Saint's name, and Kulpa ("apologetic") is his fake surname.
Kodas is simply the Lithuanian word for code, so when Code went to the Americas, he decided to use that definition instead for easier recollection and out of more preferred taste.
"Code" is much cooler to him than Kodas in this respect because it's foreign--just like how most of us English people like to use Japanese nicknames/variants or such because of how they sound and by what they mean. :> So "Code" is not his true, real name, but a sort of made-up nickname; yet it's what he's known by. Casimir is his Saint's name after Casimir Jagiellon. In Lithuania, Catholicism is a strong religion to the point where one assigns themselves a saint (whether by choice or with the one nearest their original birthday I've no idea ;; I read up on this a long time ago on Wikipedia so I'm rusty LOL). Eien, who took Code in, used Casimir for his middle name as he was born on March 4th--Code, March 1st. Something along those lines HOHOHO. Lithuanians tend to celebrate their saint's birthday more than their own. Kulpa is his made-up last name. His parents booted him into adoption the very second he was born, so he was never assigned a name and therefore has no idea who his mother, father, or any family members are because of it. (Surnames would depict this had he gotten one from who really birthed him.) It's a Polish-Lithuanian word of some sort meaning "apologetic".
Code's name was actually taken from Ryo Nishikido's "Code" because it was what I was listening to upon thinking on what to call him. I'm actually not all too fond of it, either. xD I love Ryo and the song, but the 'yeah's always bothered me for some reason.
• Is his hair naturally a dark pink-red or does he dye it?
GREATEST MYSTERY IN THE WORLD, ISN'T IT?!He dyes it.
• Why Lithuania(n)?
I wanted a country I didn't know much about, but wanted to learn more of--and for some reason, Lietuva happened to be on that list because I found it to be a seemingly quiet and beautiful land unknown to most people. This was needed because of Code's training as a stone-wielding lapidarian; I wanted the base for that 'world' to be in a forest-situated place new to everyone in a sense that they hardly knew it existed or that "sorcerers", to put it loosely, like that could live there. I like to keep things as believable as possible even though it's impossible to really summon golems and do all that he does. Code's green eyes might have unconsciously been used from the Axis Powers Hetalia's Lithuania character depiction. Their personlities are also extremely opposite, probably so I wouldn't mindlessly try to link Code with him as I was in a huge Hetalia rut and obsession when I made him. OTL
• Why is he such an asshole/bastard/hot-headed egoist/etc?
LMAO you know, I'm not to sure. At the time I had Code in the early stages of development, I was seriously lacking in a fun character like that and I'd like to say he was mindlessly based off of Reno from Final Fantasy: VII--mainly because they had a somewhat similar hairstyle. Since Reno is a cocky kind of guy, I think my perspective on redheads leaked into Code's personality so that they share some traits like that. I'd also read that redheads are proven to have more of a temper than any other natural hair color, so I played with that, too. BUT, he's really only a bitch if you pet him the wrong way. c':
• How did he get the scar on his neck?
From a few rebel-warriors in his troops that had heard and somewhat confirmed how he was cheating on everyone by being in love with a gargoyle. (The golems and gargoyles used to be sworn enemies because of their equal use of the Earth's core for needed stone sources and the more scientific likes, so it was unheard and unspoken of for somebody to do what Code did--whether he was a step away from being the highest authority from everyone or not; that is, until the G-Wars came into play.) So they pulled him into a room and tried for murder, but all they managed was stabbing a sword into his throat down the entire length of his neck before Label and Y--"gods", loosely--came in to save and heal a wound that would otherwise have undoubtedly killed him. For this reason he still bears the mark of what he deserved for being in a partnership with his own enemy. Aside from the one on his neck, he also has cut scars on his waist and near his stomach also from sword wounds in battle. Other marks that aren't as red or as deep are actually plentiful from vigorous fencing practice or trip-ups while climbing trees about his chest and arms.
• What's his biggest secret?
You'd think it would be his occupation and "other life" in Lithuania... but, actually, he makes a much bigger effort to hide his obsession with POLKAAA. ;D No doubt something he'd get teased over even after he died because it's so out-of-character for him to like a flamboyant music style like that. THE DANCE, TOO. ...When he's alone. LOLF
• Why a devil's flower mantis?
Because they were my favorite insect the day I gave one to him. 8| They're sexy--and big. Originally, he was going to have a pet chicken tag along everywhere he went as was based off the World of Warcraft pet. (He also had all-long hair with 'tufts' over the ears, probably based off of Meimi Haneoka's style, in the beginning character designs.)
Aiden
• Her age, birthday, astrology and Chinese horoscope signs, element, planet, and starstone...?
Currently aged 16; born October 24th, 1994--Gemini/dog, metal, Mercury, and moss agate. There's a reason she's a Gemini. ;D
• What traits do you share with her?
We both play the melody of a song we're listening to out on our fingers in the air. ...That's all I've got so far because she's still new and developing LOL SHUDDUP
• Why Alien Hand Syndrome?
Honestly, I've completely forgotten where my interest in that disorder fell or how I found it--but it's been one I've remembered and been nothing but intrigued by. I could never imagine having my hand do whatever it wanted involuntarily, so having this as a trait for Aid gave me a chance to explore the prospect. 8'] I'm so nice LOL
• Why is she so generically quiet?
Probably because she's hard to open up. Her history and her emotions are up, down, and all around everywhere in her mind--where she was once a childish-happy person, now she can't seem to grasp at much aside from being alone and living off of her "one hand".
That, or it's because of the music I listen to when I theme her in RPs and such. She's heavily influenced by the works of Yann Tiersen, which reminds me also of the Professor Layton soundtracks. She's British, but these give a French flair and inspired her small bit of knowledge with the language. Anything orchestrated, really~
• Where does the steampunk aspect come into play?
I had a poll up for a while on the TEF Community Site here as to what sort of 'theme' I should have Aiden be, because for once in my life, I had too many choices to choose from. "Steampunk Nebula" seemed to beat out all the other options with intrigue, and I had hoped to actually make her as hardcore steampunk as I could; but, in the end--or as of now, since she's still new--it only seems to be her clothing style. Old-fashioned and not too colorful. But I plan on giving her history a lot of background in a scene with this aspect a lot heavier with meaning. :B
• Why does she disguise herself as a boy so passionately?
SECRETTT. Unless you catch her somehow, she'd probably cave and explain--but that would be a hard outcome to come by, so good luck. ♥
• Who is she based off of or inspired by?
Usually I get my ideas by loving other characters I happen across, but this time, Aiden happens to be a huge mix of all my past RP characters I was forced to pause and put on the back-burner because of a friend's absence that was extremely involved with all of them. Her silver eyes came from my Icelandic character Mir, who had the "gold and silver" theme with his blond hair and gray irises--both of which I passed on to her because I missed that description. She also has a link to caves/grotesques thanks to Saa (whom also had a deep relation with a certain sibling, so I stole that meaning, too) and work with fixing appliances and/or gadgets, which was a trait of Arthur's (whom was also British). Lean, my Italian vampire, had one hand that was veryyy heavily scarred on the palm because of burning and repeatedly harming himself there--so having that impact gone was another thing I missed yet would fit in very well with her. Her right/AHS hand is now scarred and wounded for loosely the same reasons. Then last, but certainly not least, was the most influential: Raku's character Sail who never got to come into play was a female who chose to and wanted to be male. While this isn't the case for Aid, I referenced the idea because I loved it yet toned it down a bit and gave it history.
• King?
I have a fetish with princes/princesses and queens/kings (which is probably a little obvious when I had three characters with authority like that, and even more that had their dressing style based on it). So I just literally took the word of my love and made it her last name to tone down my want to give those same aspects to her. |D It also helps appeal to her male illusion because of its powerful tone and gender thought. o: Aiden is a name for either males or females, too, so I cheated on that one.
• What's her biggest secret?
Answering "she's really a girl" is too obvious, so I'll go to her next one and say that she actually had dreams of being a ballerina when she was litter--and still holds true to that in the back of her mind whether she'll admit and accept it or not. But what with her uncooperative hand, it's a bit of an impossible hope. ;; ...Don't kill/judge me, but this came from Princess Tutu in a VERY SMALL way... LOL *FLEE*
