Okay so if I go to edit one of my blogs that uses CSS and then try to preview it, I get
Quote:
This page isn’t working
Chrome detected unusual code on this page and blocked it to protect your personal information (for example, passwords, phone numbers, and credit cards).

ERR_BLOCKED_BY_XSS_AUDITOR
This must be something new with Chrome? Anyone have any idea what to do about it?
Ooh Hauta, I think that was the problem! I added the string there while Chrome was on and it didn't work, but I closed everything, deleted the string and applied, then re-added it. Now it works! Thank you!
Tried this but it didn't work? I closed Chrome and pasted it, then applied and restarted Chrome to preview the CSS. Still coming up with the same page.
I tried this the other day and got it to work when I removed a dash, but today I got the error page again and then it didn't work until I added the string at the end with both dashes. It's quite annoying ;;
What worked for me was closing every single extension that was running in the background (ctrl + alt + delete, task manager, end every single thing with a Chrome icon). Then relaunch the entire browser using the new shortcut you made.
If it breaks again--which it seems to do for me every time I try to relaunch Chrome--repeat that step.
To people who say this isn't working: Close off everything on your Chrome. Go to the main folder, where the web browser is installed by default and create another shortcut on your desktop. Say, name it "Chrome2". Right-click it and go into the properties, shortcut and add the following line "--disable-xss-audito". Remember about the space after the "/Location/chrome.exe". Make sure you apply the changes before saving and that administrator mode is enabled.
Now, just open up Chrome2 and it should be working just fine. Tho, remember that the changes were made for this shortcut only, so if you will access Chrome via other shortcut or menu-start it won't work!
So I right clicked the original Chrome, created a shortcut, went into the properties of the shortcut and put "Access the Internet--disable-xss-auditor" in where it says "comment" then pressed okay, nothing changed.
I'm not sure if I'm doing it correctly or what.
Create a chrome
right click>properties
add --disable-xss-auditor to the end like so.
Should be good after that.
That worked! Thank you!
Hey sorry to bump this but
I just copy and paste it, hit apply and OK, restart Chrome but the problem is still there.
