Hello everyone! I wanted to share a little of the Italian language with you, and teach you an Italian phrase! I got some help with this too - the Leowolf came to act out the phrases for us!
So in English, you know that if you say "Break a Leg!", it's like saying "Good Luck!" Italians have a phrase similar to that:
In Bocca al Lupo!
Which literally translates to "Into the Wolf's Mouth!"
(In the Leowolf's case, since she's female, it would really be "In Bocca la Lupa!", but generally they use the male version for the saying.)
The person being wished to be 'in the wolf's mouth' replies with:
Crepi al Lupo! or simply
Crepi!
Which literally translates to "May the Wolf Die!"
If the person replied "Grazie!" (Thanks!) instead of "Crepi!", they'd be wishing bad luck upon themself.
So to recap - to wish someone to 'break a leg' or otherwise 'good luck' in Italian, say:
In Bocca al Lupo!
And make sure the person replies with:
Crepi al Lupo! or
Crepi!
Thanks for reading, and hope you enjoyed learning a little Italian! Ciao!!
Haha, neat. xD I'll try to

Another funny thing - 'little boy' translates to bambino; 'little girl' translates to bambina; and 'children' translates to bambini.
