Well here I am, first day on the forum/community site. It's not my first day as a deer though. I've been playing in the forest off and on for the past four months and I really love this screen-saver. The whole place is just so relaxing. I mostly come on just when I need to find a quite place by the ruins or the playgorund. So about me, well I can not say much on that topic. My deer is pretty much me so yeah I'll talk about him.

Deer: Garnock

Personality: He's a self aware fellow, always concerned of what others think about him. It's not uncommon that even though he will feel uncomfortable, Garnock will do what he can to fit in without anyone seeing somethings wrong. Of course it can still be obvious. His actions will slow, thinking over every single movement he dose. A priority it not to be an outcast. Sometimes in his will to please others he will offend someone accidentally or do the wrong thing. Garn then, like most others, will feel really stupid and try to make it up. Most of the time making it worse. He also will try to act majestic but always ending up making a fool of himself.

When frustrated or angry he will just hang out at one of his favorite places sorting out his brain. Garn dose that a lot when he is not trying to please. One problem he has is fawns. He always feel odd around them, like he'll crush then if he falls, or maybe its the size difference. He isn't good with size differences.

Masks, Pelt, Antlers: At the moment Garnock doesn't have a favorite anything.

Favorite Place/s: Pond (Weeping Statue and under the Willows)

Sign: I love the pictogram for my stag. To me it looks like a little sailor boat =3

In The Name of Science
Dramatic titles aside, this is an album of Palko's various adventures. It begins, at well, the begining. That's right. Palko's fawn-hood. During which he discovered his love of spells and mischeif. After that, there are various adventures including; random chaos, dancing, running around, discovering how fun the Devout pelt is, ghost boxing, snorkeling, meeting many deer, and observing strange occurences. If you see yourself, Speak Up! I would love to know who Palko's been bugging in the past few days.
Note: this will be updated every once in awhile
Update: Added some new shots to the album. Also, it seems that Palko took a dip in the pond. I'll be evergrateful to anyone who's willing to spell spam him until he's happy and back with his old pelt again ( The halloween pelt with the skeleton ). If the generous one in question wants some gift art i'd be happy to ablige ^^

Skokey spent most of the next day sleeping under the slab. After sitting at his father's grave all night, he went to the Twin Gods statue to get himself purified. He wasn't the only one there though. The death of Siki renewed everyone's fears and they all started to pray again. Siki wasn't the last one who died. A few deer met their end a couple days afterward, deer that Skokey never knew. But as soon as it started, the relapse of their fears ended, and everyone went back to their normal lives.

Skokey, slowly but surely, became happier. After about two weeks, he was pretty much back to normal. It wasn't Siki's death that depressed him, it was his mother. The fact that his mother abandoned him deprived him the motivation to even get up. It hurt him, but he soon figured that what's done is done, and there's nothing he can do about it.

In the morning, Skokey got up early and decided to graze a little. He saw Fraalch and Vin come up to him, and he gave them a warm greeting.

Fraalch bowed his head cheerfully, “Morning, Skokey. How are you feeling?”

Skokey smiled, “Uncle Fraalch, I'm fine. You don't have to worry.”

Vin looked over at Fraalch, “Well?”

Fraalch cleared his throat, “Yes, um.. Skokey, I know you're not very old... But I reckon you're old enough to... look over a little fawn while someone else is away?” A little fawn head poked out behind her father. “What I mean is, could you watch over Raku while me and Frola go out for a while?”

“Where are you going?” Skokey asked, munching on some grass.

“Well, we're gonna-” Vin gave him a shove, “We'll tell you when you're older.”

“Okay... Why me?”

“Everyone else is busy. Besides, I think Raku needs to make a new friend. Maybe she'll be a little less shy once she gets to know you.”

And I can't even remember what the R stands for now. *blink* But alas, this was my first truly unpleasant experience in the forest. Not only did this deer chase Grim EVERYWHERE spell-spamming, but they stood in, on, stomped, struck at and taunted Grim whenever he stopped running.
At one point, Grim was lying a distance away from this deer (well clear of any spell-sources I might add...and that was on purpose) when they started running all the way up hill to a fungus tree, then running BACK to spell-spam Grim. I spent fifteen minutes making Grim shake his head NO, bellow and finally rear in frustration, to no avail.
As a last resort, Grim left... only to have them follow. Grim laid down on the rocks at the playground, the obnoxious deer started humping him. Hid for a while around the ruins, but that didn't last long; eventually I logged out in disgust.

Man, I really love this set. Now that Grim's finally got his look together I can post a proper introduction for him. JUST need to finish his sketch first.

I wasn't sure what set to draw him in, but then I remembered seeing him in this set a lot, so that settled it. (I'm not even sure if I got the pelt right. XD; ) Hope ya like, Adagio. =]

Being a stag is so much fun... today I had a lot of fun with various deer I don't know, as well as Laruna. How does anyone decide on a set? There are so many great choices! Mandarine started the day off with what I call the orange squiggle pelt, orca antlers, and a stained-glass eyemask. I already had lots of antlers to choose from, and though I love the the orca antlers, I ended up changing to butterfly antennae. Just cuz I can. After playing with many masks I stuck with the orca (which I love), though the white... beluga? mask that makes your moo sound really weird is fun, and I adore the bird masks too. Laruna pelted me with some great different choices, including some lovely greys that I almost stayed with... but ended up leaving the last one, a bright orange with little green lines. I'm sure I'll switch Mandarine to one of the pretty greys later but for now I like something about the orange. I don't know if I'll ever come up with a real set for Mandarine; there's just so much to choose from!
Thank you to all the deer who helped expand my "wardrobe" and who danced and played with me... I am a dancing deer fiend! Look forward to playing with you again soon....
