What the heck, Lemon? xD

So I had TEF open for a while, while surfing the forums. All of the sudden, I hear hooves. So I tab back to TEF, and sure enough, Lemon is running around. Without me. 8| So I just watch her for a minute, see where she goes, and she ends up running to the edge of the pond and laying down. xD It was the strangest thing.

She hasn't been responding to half the things I tell her to do, which I assumed was because I've been glitching more often then usual, lately. But now I'm wondering if she hasn't taken on a life of her own.

Does this happen often, deer getting up and running around on their own? xDDD

new baby & forest screenshots

Hey people! I hope everyone is having a great day! ^^

Something really cool happened a few days ago - my sister had a baby boy named Adrian! =D He's a very cute baby, but he's really big. :3 The mother, father and the baby just came back from the hopsital yesterday, and now they're staying with us. I got my first experience of a crying baby last night, when I was trying to sleep. XD

I also decided to take some forest screenshots, just for fun. XD
Here is one of my deer as a fawn (I don't think she's grown up yet...I need to go check soon), that I liked:

Nothing too special about her in this screenie, usually I get the shiny white pelt.

Err yeah...haven't got much else to say other than that lol.
I'll be putting up some deer art soon, by the way. ^^

Twisted Up Inside...

She sat happily at the computer, typing away, everything was right in her life. She was almost done, before...

She held a hand to her side. No... Well crap, this'll have to wait. She went over to the couch, laying down and holding her side with both hands. She practiced some deep breathing, but it only seemed to get worse. She held in her legs, fully clutching at her body, but it still worsened. No, no, why now? She looked around. I can't let anyone worry...

She went to the bathroom, closing the door. She crouched over on the floor, still holding herself, hugging her stomach and sides. She was in full blown pain now, she knew it wasn't going to stop for several minutes. She sat there, unmoving, for quite a while, before she thought it was done for the day.

She got up. But then... What? Still? This is awful... She made her way upstairs, and into that bathroom, turning the fan on for a future shower. She sat on the floor again, but soon slowly moved herself into lying down, still crumpled up into a ball. Her body shook, her breath strained.

This was too much. She had been dealing with this a lot, but it wasn't this bad since... She couldn't even remember... 8th grade maybe? That was almost three years ago... It only got worse. Usually the pain came in waves, leaving her small intervals to rest before cringing again. This was nonstop. Nonstop misery that pushed her to the point where she couldn't focus on anything else. The bright yellow walls, the whirr of the fan above her, it was all gone now. She was all by herself in an abyssmal darkness, nothing but her and pain.

She sat there for... maybe 15 minutes it pure agony. Soon it dulled down quickly, to the point where she could move again. She stumbled to the shower, quickly taking her clothes off, and turned the shower on. Thankfully the water heated up almost instantly. She sat there after a few moments of turning the heat up, hoping... praying, the water and heat would calm it down.

PLEASE HELP!

I REALLY NEED TO KNOW, how do you get a snapshot folder for your snapies?

.Tyranny. (short story)

"Blue - everyday - bruised from another place.
Everyday takes grace,
And the air's still warm
From a bullet in the wrong place."

- Massive Attack, "Bullet Boy"

----------

Steady and hammering hoofbeats sounded throughout the chilled Forest air and sent faint tremors through the soft earth. Chest tight and aching with the endurance of his galloping, the stag came to a halt beside a set of decaying cedar logs, bringing his daily run to a close. He breathed heavily and casually surveyed the landscape, and to his dismay sighted no one.

Well, this would get boring quickly.

That very thought made him wrinkle his nose and sneer in frustration. It was near impossible for him to enjoy a day without bothering somebody else.

He scuffed the soil with a hoof irritably. The stag’s day had only begun a mere hour or so before, and within that period he had already terrorized another perhaps to the point of unconsciousness. Entertainment such as that would usually only last as long as the opponent would keep up his guard, but when it came to the weak who had no defense in the first place, it was a matter of fun and games until Masque grew tired of it. He even had half the mind to run back to the foot of the boulder where his brother undoubtedly remained mashed up against and apologize, retracting the statement about him being worth nothing and offer instead that he was worth a few moments of amusement. He even considered humorously for a moment that it might have been the best compliment he’s ever gotten.

The stag gave a dramatic sigh. It was depressing to consider, but it was true; the only enjoyment he had came from bullying others. Nothing else rendered the same satisfaction.

New Laptop

So... have a new laptop. Runs Vista, which is a change. But I see the Forest works on Vista quite nicely now. Smiling It looks so weird on widescreen... like, wow!

And I can actually run the viewer on this computer without it crashing. I'm impressed.

Lemon's Journal - Jan 10, 2009

When I woke up, I was greeted by two rather no-gooder fawns, who evidently found it entertaining to see a little blind fawn cower in fear, because she has no idea if their taunts and teases are serious, or in good fun. Given my experience, I take all threats seriously -- and when someone lowers their antlers at me, I take offense. Thus, when these two fawns continued to lower their antlers, tease, and rear at me, I began to feel quite fearful. Where was the phantom when I needed him? I stayed where I was for a while, hoping the fawns would grow bored of their cruel games, and run off. They did, and I split.

Eventually, I found the phantom. We collided into each other by accident -- he running full speed toward me, and I running full speed toward him. It was a rather curious and silly moment. We ran about in our usual way, taking rests often.

At one point, he took me to the stream, where we drank. Then I spotted Quamar, sleeping on the bridge. I ran over to say hello, but he didn't stir. That's when I saw Seth! I was so excited to see him, I galloped over and gave him a heartfelt nuzzle, letting him know how happy I was to see him. The phantom hung back, watching as we kicked up our heels in glee. If there's one deer who can always brighten my day, it's Seth.

After a while, I tried to introduce Seth to the phantom. The phantom, however, would hear nothing of the matter, and refused to come near Seth. Discouraged and saddened that my two favorite stags would have nothing to do with each other, I resorted to bouncing back and forth between one and the other. I'd stick by Seth, playing and laughing, and then run off to accompany the phantom in his silent, watchful ways. It went on like this for a while -- Seth and I tried to get him to come closer, and join us. He never did.

The Dance

It had been a few days since the Abiogenesis. Chenaniah didn’t want to think about it. He spent his days singing with the birds of the Birch Forest… far away from other deer. And especially far away from the twin god statues. He still had his joy and his song. He was still bright and energetic… but only by himself. He preferred that other deer not see his face. Not even an especially playful fawn. Was he embarrassed? Maybe. How many had seen and heard his over-enthusiastic greeting to the gods during that explosion of excitement? The gods. The gods that had left without him. Was he depressed? Maybe. How long would it be until he stepped out of his comfort zone and played with the other deer of the forest? Was he lonely? Maybe. But then again… he always had the butterflies and the dragonflies. And he always had the birds.

“It’s okay, little one. I won’t hurt you…”

Chenaniah whispered almost silently. The robin cocked her head and hopped back an inch. She glared at him sideways.

Chenan smiled and chuckled to himself. The robin was wary… but curious. One of the few skittish birds in this forest.

“You have nothing to…” Chenaniah’s voice trailed off. His ears flicked and he raised his nose to the air… there was a deer nearby.

The bird flew away.

Chenan staired. Down at the bottom of the hill, a deer was watching him. A small brown skull-faced deer. His heart leapt. How long had it been there?

Well… it wasn’t doing anything. Maybe it hadn’t seen him. Maybe… maybe it was just resting there and happened to be in the same area Chenaniah was. It wasn’t that close, anyway…
