all about v i n t a g e

<b a s i c s

name; vintage

alias; vinny

gender; doe

birth; 03.22.09

age;24 human years

lover; no

friends; ???

residence; anywhere

wearing; real deer pelt, peacock feathers, magpie mask.

physics;Small body and a fragile soul contained inside. Stature smaller than the rest of the deer, and physical features softened by isolation. Her pelt is darker than common, and adorner with permanent fawn like spots, on her head lies an adornment of apple green peacock feathers, and covering her soft features lays an ebony magpie mask.

mind; Isolation and insecurity describe the soft doe. Every movement can snap her soul, and she has the worst social skills ever. If a conversation never starts she just runs away or gets sad, or both. Overall she's a quiet, insecure girl, that doesn't know how to socialize..

past; Always alone, never had a real friend or someone she cared for. Isolated from society while trying to survive, she has no idea where she came from, she just knows she wants to live.

A New Beginning

There was a rustling of leaves... everything was still and silent.

A young fawn was born. She awoke, and knowing nothing of the forest around her, attempted to stand. Back legs up first, one front leg, then the next, and raise yourself up slowly... PLUNK! The young fawn known as Adar stumbled and fell.

She lay there for a moment, contemplating whether she would get up, or go back to sleep. She decided she would prefer a change of scenery, see the sights of where she lived. She attempted standing up again, and she stood, humbly and serenly. She carefully put one front leg out, then a back leg, another front leg, and then the back leg. She walked.

She tried trotting, cautiously going a little faster, but she tripped up on her own legs. She stood, and tried again, this time successfully. She ran, and ran fast! Then she jumped. Quietly she looked around, not making a sound. She called out to see if she would get an answer... she waited, the forest was quiet today. No reply. She wandered around and found mushrooms, she tested them out. 'Mmmmm,' Adar thought.

She kept wandering and found the pond and took a long drink.

Feeling refreshed, she stumbled upon the ruins and some other fawns. She walked up cautiosly and curiously. The fawns welcomed her, and showed her basic things around the forest but then, Adar's curiosity came stronger. She had to wander on.

She came upon a statue, a statue of twins. Just out of pure curiosity she bowed to these rocks waiting to see what would happen, when nothing really happened, she decided that rocks don't do much so why bother with them. Thus and thus to this day she will not bow to that rock or wear the pelt of that rock, merely because it is just a rock.

This fawn wanders, meets many new deer but can't wait to be an adult stag. She now sleeps most of her days away but in her dreams she is already out of puberty.

Then that glorious day arrives...

The Diary of Seed, 4-10-09

((I apparently did not take any good screenshots during Seed's romp earlier today. That makes me sad.))
[=#006400]
I woke up to another bright, sunny day in the forest. After a moment or two of listening, it dawned on me that there was not anyone of particular interest to me present in the forest. And that, frankly, was alright: I was in a mood for meeting some people I don't know all that well.

After a bit of wandering I stumbled upon a crowd of deer, and ecided to join them. It was, I admit, a little uncomfortable for a moment; there's always a lack of ease for me, when I try to enter a group (though I doubt it is in any way grounded). After a little while, everyone sat down except for some fawns playing around it. One of them, a little sweet one who had given me some poppies (after the rain from my last visit, I still had unlit candles exposed on my antlers, droopy with all the melty and reforming), was particularly insistant that I get up and play...and, after a moment's thought, I did.

Before I could either be long in the company of this fawn or long away from the sitting-party, the fawn had to go. It's a shame, really: I feel most at ease when alone with another deer, and I was hoping, perhaps, to grow some sort of attachment there. But that's not the way of the world. I quietly rejoined the group.

I daydreamed for a while, riding otherworldly whispers I only half-heard, composing a snippit of poetry, though nothing promising enough as to write it down: I'll just carry it in my head for a while; it was something about the way that it seems there's no difference between the fall of sun and the fall of rain, how they both hit the forest floor unevenly, falling in torrents and drizzles depending on where you are...I'll consider it, for a while.

Attention! Let's Improve this Community!

-yes I did bump this, if anyone would like me to not please tell me and I wont again. :)-

Well I have noticed this place has really changed from the way it used to be. And of course not all change is bad. The community has expanded which is absolutely fantastic and more and more friendships have blossomed from it. Yet there have been a few things that have been annoying me lately and I believe if changed will improve this community. This site is about the game The Endless Forest, and honestly when I come here that’s what I want to hear about. With all respect I don’t want to hear about dragon eggs and writings & drawings that do not at all pertain The Endless Forest. After all that is what we should be talking about. I would much rather see diaries such as what your deer did today, the new people they met, and even their bios or updates. I’m here for the game and friendships above all else and that is the main reason I come to this place. None of us would have ever even been attracted here if it weren’t for the game. We are all a community that shares the same interest, which are The Endless Forest and our friendships that have developed from the game. I know some people will say, “ Well, we can do whatever we like, you can’t stop us”. You are most certainly correct. I cannot stop you, but I am asking you to keep what you post at least pertaining to The Endless Forest in one way or the other. Also I am not saying that off topic posts should completely dissappear just posted in moderations.

...stunning hues of pinks and blues...

......:Why is the rain so incredibly consistant? It seems that every day I wake I find my fur soaking wet with the persistant rain-drops. Ah well, I suppose I'd better start falling asleep beneath shelter so the burden doesn't effect me as much.

......:It was sunny, and I determined it to be a find day to wander...until of course...well...I found myself to be a little over-hasty. I eventually made it to the pond, dipping my flattened fur into the waters, watching as it flowed from the slight current pushing from the pond. Hoofbeats. I turned my head suddenly, a shiver rushing down my spine as the cool water gave way to my movement. I realized my state of condition, soaking wet from the pond, looking much less than my best, yet Miss Poltergeist stumbled upon me. I grinned sheepishly, a flush surely covering my face. Shaking off the water, I stumbled away from the murky waters, trying to straighten my coat as is dribbled with water. She bowed, and I followed suite, before we both went off, fiddling around the pond.
.....:Until, another deer seemed to join our company. I greeted them, holding back the urge in my gut to flee the scene without second thought. We lingered for awhile, until another deer rushed towards us.

Ok, I'm a little new here. Help needed.

Ok. I want to take pictures of my deer, Adar, and when I press the P key the screen stops for like 1 sec. and then resumes with the game. WHen I log off and go to My Pictures, those screenshots that I "took" are not there anymore. Advice?
