August 5, 2009 - 12:35am — Aegle
I will never forget that day. The day that I was brought here…I awoke near a large ominous oak. The tree twisted high into the air, where it intermingled with the small helpless trees. Those loud cries, Oh the fear… I stood. I looked down at my small legs. Who was I? Aegle. The name swirled around my head. Aegle. That was me. A small light above me head, like a halo. I was no angel, that much I knew. This light contained my symbol. I walked around. My hoofs made small imprints in the loamy soil beneath my feet. I smelled the air... so crisp... so clean... A figure. A beautiful figure was on the other side of the pond. It lay there, staring at the small fish. I heard it whispering to them. The fish swirled about the beautiful figure happily. I became fearful. What was this... The face was so bright yet, so lost. Its eyes almost eerie…. And the colors of this being...brilliant golds, blues... Suddenly its ears perked up. It noticed me. I tried to scramble behind a tree. It gently pawed the ground. Its eyes full of compassion, so peaceful, I approached. And this was the day that I had met her. The day I met Shyla.
Shyla was my best friend. She taught me all that I know. I dreamed to be like her. This doe, which was once a stranger whom I had feared, taught me love. She also was not fond of strangers...She protected me... watched over me... Every time I feel asleep near her, I felt safe.... I loved her... She was my best friend, my mother...

You have no idea how much I want to shit you right now. But I can't. It's you we're talking about, after all. I just have to get this to you somehow. So, you get this letter instead of a faceful of shovel.
I don't know what to do with you. I have the haunting feeling this is going to put you in an even worse mood, but that's because I suck at staying calm. Take the emotion out of what I'm about to say and consider it as twisted constructive critisism, and that's colser to my original intent.
What do you want, Masque? Exactly what are you going to settle on? It's like spin-the-bottle every damn day. Don't give me crap about how you don't want anything from us - you weren't born here. You're human, so you have to have some kind of desire. Shyla, Aegle and me - we don't know what to do. I can tell they're as lost as I am. Maybe you've decided where your heart's going, but you haven't shown us, and it's driving me crazy. I don't mean to speak for them, but still.
IT's painfully hard to distance myself from you. I'll say it straight. I'm sure they're feeling it too. I don't want to make this about me, but you need to know, really. Yeah, I liked you. A hell of a lot, to be exact. It's sorely clear how alike we are. No matter what I did, you held me at arm's length, so I was patient. Then I learned what Aegle and Shyla felt. I've had enough time with love - I wanted them to have their shot, so I tried to back away. It's hard when you keep this charade up. Really, really hard.
I can't hate you. No matter how hard I try, I keep looking back at you, so I figure I'm stuck with it. Just tell me what you've decided. I'll do what I can to stick around, no matter what. I guess.
Love, always,
T

SFHJGH THIS WAS AMUSING. She would have told him in person but honestly, she was afraid for his safety, so have a note pinned to his apartment door.

August 4, 2009 - 10:03pm — Maarnakh
Maarnakh limped off, looking down. He barely managed to advance through the forest, each step an excruciating pain for him. At last, the birch forest. Better die here than at the pond where all could see him. In a last effort he sat down and lay his jaw on the ground. There was a huge gash in his belly. That last fight had been too much. If only he hadn't seen these two stags bullying a fawn...nothing would have happened. Too late to change the past, though. There was no other solution but to wait, wait until death laid his cold hands on his heart.
'Maarnakh!'
A stag trotted up toward him, joyfully at first, until he saw the wound.
"No..." he breathed, "No, this can't be!"
No response.
"It's okay," he gasped, "It's nothing, I can heal it, I..."
He touched the lying deer. His body was stiff and cold.
"NO!" he bellowed, "MY SON! NO!"
Without further ado he raced through the trees, ignoring the others' strange look, until he reached the hill and the statue.
"Twin Gods!" he boomed, "I sent my son here so he could be safe! And you let him die! Are you proud of yourselves? Bastards! I hate you! I don't care if you curse me or anything, I'm not afraid of you! Bastards!"
Thunder rolled. A deep voice resounded inside his head.
"Eporax! We are indeed very sad for you and your son. We..."
"Shut up!"
"Please listen, Eporax..."
"Never! Maarnakh was all I had left, and God knows if I'll avenge him!"
"Please, you must..."
"Leave me! Never talk to me again! Get out of my life!"
With that he sprinted away, death to the Gods' supplications, locked inside his anger and his misery....
From now on I will be using the stag Eporax, a very dark and unlikeable character. Be prepared, and watch out for your fawns!

SOLUTION FOUND
August 4, 2009 - 8:25pm — lemon
I awoke with the intention of making myself scarcely seen. I tripped carefully through the forest, my ears pointed alertly in all directions, attempting to find a place where I would not be bothered. I moved along the circumference of the pond – a pathetic choice in hiding places, and an obvious sign that I was sorely needing companionship, since the pond was always the most popular hangout – and yet, I was astonished to find it eerily abandoned. I listened more intently, and discovered the reason quite quickly – there was a rather large din being made some distance off; more violence. With a sigh, I found myself meandering in the direction of the clustered deer, wondering why I found myself so increasingly drawn to fights and scuffles, this way. Perhaps it is the mother in me, making me wait like a vulture for some injured fool to come stumbling out of the fray, so that I might rush in and nurse the poor dear to health and comfort his wounds. I hope it is this – I pray – and not some sinister part awakening, some lust for blood making it’s unwanted appearance.
I found first a little miniature deer – only a small amount shorter than I – who seemed absolutely disheartened at the sight before him. I inquired as to what in the world all of the noise was about, but my new companion was of little aid: and so I set about, instead, attempting to lift his spirits and encourage him to ignore the disturbance in the distance. We made a little party among ourselves, and were quickly joined by a quirky nameless deer, who seemed eager to be painted with the lavish pelt spells, but would only grow frustrated when they wore off.

I was wondering, is there a way to skip the long, boring intro in the beginning of the game? I would love to know...

So I've decided that my deer's name will be Kun, which means "Earth" in Chinese =u=
The pelt I'd like was a stony color..and his antlers were like a caribou, and he had the simple mask that encircles the eyes~
