I have a list of totally random and meaningless trivia about my deer/my TEF experience. None of it is particularily interesting, but I thought at least someone might get a kick out of it. Like those pop-up videos VH1 has sometimes, filled with useless facts. 8D
Here's a handfull of 'em:
- Fledermaus was originally the blond. WOAH. I even have a long-time ago sketch of this that will never see the light of day.
- Desanm's picto bears an identical piece to part of Masque's (the vertical line with the small box attatched to the top left)
- Fledermaus' original set had the orca mask instead of the magpie, he wore it for a god couple of months before changing.
- Masque's original set had the magpie antlers instead of the fan antlers, I changed them because they weren't intimidating enough.
- This is obvious, but Fledermaus and Masque have the inverse of each other's sets (Great Argus and fan).
- The color codes for both of them have a 'cb' in them, which I didn't realize until waaay later, I just picked them at random. Spooky.
- I downloaded TEF in Fall of 2007- but due to a bad wireless network I was never able to play and forgot about it, until I came home for the summer (2008) and tried it again, and I've been in lurve since then. :3
- I found out about TEF through a posting by on a forum I used to frequent for about 4 years (RWTW!) Also from that forum were Corgi, frith, Ghost, and Wuffers.
- I had a hard time choosing a name for Desanm. Some of my options were: Devanjou (meaning dawn), Livè (meaning winter), Lotus, & Jade. Like any of them better? ;D
- The surname Rineheart has about a billion variations. It was originally Rhinehart, an allusion to both the Rhine river in Germany and the term for a male deer, a hart. As a surname, it means "determined". The first variation is just more aesthetically pleasing to me. xD
- I had no intention of having more than 1 deer for the longest time. Masque was inspired entirely by the
Mardi Gras set, the character August from the novel
Water for Elephants, and a mix of my partiality to Venetian masks, ringleaders, costumes, and circus performers. He was originally to be a pretentious, attention-seeking ringleader type of trickster/performer of illusions. Only a bit of this came through. 8D
- Desanm was inspired mainly from a small interest in Haitian culture after reading
The Dewbreaker, and much more with a growing fascination with Vodou. She was, in the earliest stage, unrelated to my other deer and a few years older, around 16-18.
I may or may not be able to think of more details. o3o
Ope! You are correct. I did
I'm jealous of all the
That. That is awesome.
I especially love the inverse sets things.
