Like.... Gazelle things live there but still. We could put a BIG tree in the middle and the deer could hang out there. Surrounded by a lot of tall grass. I've noticed ther's like... no GRASS grass in the forest! D8
Still...then we'd have to call the game 'The Endless Forest with a Random Savannah'
edit: one of the reasons there isn't a lot of grass is because the more foliage you have the harder it is to run the program on a computer. For instance, the area known as the Blue Bowl (the dip with all the blue berries in the birch forest) runs realllly laggy on most computers, imagine what a huge area of swaying grass would do.
The idea's alright, but it'd be pretty hard to execute. The lag due to grass would be an issue, of course, as would the fact that it may require the creation of a sky...
I think of the Birch Forest as being very grassy, though.
Who knows what the future in TEF would bring us to. Maybe lag wouldn't exist anymore at that era of technology. Which might mean we could have a large plain or meadow. (:
