Dreams of a Black Cat from a video game that I often play called Mana Khemia. It's a lovely instrumental that always tears me up (especially at the beginning) only because of how naive and innocent it is. A silly reason to find it saddening, I know.
Another, more simple but sad song is Ballad of the Wind Fish from 'Link's Awakening'. A song that still makes me cry when I listen to it...
I'd put em up directly, but I have no earthly idea how x'D
I can't listen to this without crying. I don't cry. I've never cried for anyone but them. =_= eehh...I find Paul McCartney's/John Lennon's friendship to be absolutely beautiful, and I hate that John was taken away from this world. buh.
I don't want him to die. I cry every time. like an idiot.
AMG. I was going to put Let It Be, but...&hearts I love that song, it's so lovely. one of my favorites, definitely. and Three, your song was so pretty too ;; -listens to them all again-
This thread is so in my tastes... "Passage" wins i think, but Kaoori, I was a bit surprised. I have a history with some of the songs you posted (the ending song to the X movie is unlistenable to me and that video for All I Need is one of my favorite music videos of all time, and also one of the songs I listen to when I am drawing a lot- have you tried Weird Fishes?). And Ballad of the Wind Fish, and The Beatles... I was actually crying to Let it Be the other night on the road home. It happens from time to time.
It's difficult to choose but here are a few of mine.
From Yoko Kanno (there are so many more but I don't want to spam)
This song has made me cry myself to sleep more than once but I guess mostly because I connect and relate to it so much. Maybe you guys won't even think it's sad.
Do I see Within Temptation up there? Plus 9000 points.
although I wish I could find the CD version online.
And yes, Kaoori, please give all of In Rainbows a listen. Especially Weird Fishes and House of Cards. If you like Radiohead I would also try There There (The Bony King of Nowhere) and How To Disappear Completely.

The reason I have so many of these downcast kind of songs is because I use them to draw to. Since I found it yesterday I have had the thread open and the songs playing while I draw.

Sigur Ros is absolutely amazing; every single one of their songs... Olafur Reynolds (if I spelt that right--I'm on my iTouch), too. But if you haven't already seen it, I recommend Glosoli. <3 Icelandic music is all beautiful to me so I'm really happy to see people take an interest in overlooked music. ;;
If you believe in something, anything, believe in it all the way, all the time. How can you really say it's true if your belief wavers depending on the surrounding conditions? Try not to think of this song as religious, but as belief in general. <3
I am really in love with everything posted since last time. This thread has been open for a few hours and most of it has been added to my youtube favorites.
If we're talking Brian Eno, let's not forget Bone Bomb:

Another one of my favorites. Kind of ironic I'm posting this song since I've had two recent deaths in my family, but this is one I love to sing along to.
