Asking for help... (newbie-post alert!)

I'm starting to get the hang of this site, but there are still some things that confuse me, so I was wondering if any of the users here could answer a few question for me. Firstly, do people tend to write updates on their deer in their biography post or in a new blog post? And it's in the bio post, how do you get it to show up as updated? Also, does tracking involve following someone's entire blog, or just one post and its updates? Any help here would be great appreciated! Smiling

people write updates usually in an 'updates' blog they made or in their deer bios. it's automatically registered as updated once you press 'save'. 'tracking' is following the blog they commented on, to get notices of updates and new comments.

Oh, okay. Smiling The site must just dislike me, then, as it only seems to update my post when someone comments rather than when I add anything to the main part. ;^^ And thank you for the advice!

A blog will only be 'bumped'

A blog will only be 'bumped' up on the recent posts page if it has been posted on, not if it's been edited. But sure enough, if you change the blog, it will display that it's been updated.

If there is something you want everyone to see and your blog has fallen far back in recent posts, it's acceptable to 'bump' your blog, usually with a comment regarding what's been changed or why you've bumped it.
