I know what you mean :/ It's making me rather afraid to even try to approach any deer... The forest has changed too much. ._.

I'm sorry that this made you upset, and people should bow back when someone greets them...but I think you're overacting on the 'ugly zombie set'. I mean it's one of the more popular pelts, I doubt people are avoiding you because they think it makes your deer ugly.
I hope you feel better soon, and maybe people reading this will think more about greeting people more often in the future.

Without attempting to sound horribly rude:

No one owns a set.
Getting angry because a deer is wearing certain antlers/pelts/masks, especially after you stated it was your deer's OLD set, is ridiculous.

No one can know everyone in the forest.
No one will or wants to walk around on eggshells when they get a spell cast on them going "Oh crap I can't have fun or wear this because someone else's deer might do it!"

As long as the deer isn't going out of it's way to pretend to be you and cause trouble there should be no reason to be upset with it.

Chances are if you like how a deer looks, other player do also.

Case and point:
There are at least 4 does with devout/real deer/noh antlers.
There are atleast 3 deer with crying idol mask/zombie pelt/candles
There are a ridiculous number of deer with real deer antlers/skull mask/dotd pelt
There are 11 deer who wear dotd/no mask/beluga antlers.

Oh no! I'm sorry they were mean to you! I've bowed to a couple of people, but I keep to my self (I joined only just today). Some people don't really act like I'm even there, but then, who cares what they think? Zombie pelt? Awesome! I've seen a couple deers wearing that! When my deer finally grows up, I've got to find that pelt! (If you really are that lonely, you can come hang out with my deer!)

@Widgtho: Lol, there's no need to be sorry for me. Yeah, some people just can't be bothered to bow back to you (But it's totally different if they are lying down in a mushroom circle). Your right, but some people just don't treat other deer equal to them. And some can be selfish, but the TEF community is mainly very friendly. The Zombie pelt is hard to get, either someone sends it to you or you have to wait till Halloween. Someone else with more experience will tell you. And thanks, I might come and hang out with you n.n

@Cyaneus: You are right, she could of meant all these other things, and there are nice does in the forest (such as 21). Some are just plain mean, too. And I know there are limited choices of sets, I was just a bit grumpy at everyone who was being mean to me before I came across that deer, so maybe I was overreacting a little. Anyways, I'm still sorry x.x.

Sometimes I don't notice that other deer have approached me until they go right past or jump on top of me~ when you're zoomed in, you cant see -everything- going on.
Maybe some cases were just like that?

As far as "doing things wrong" , well i wouldn't say its particularly wrong per se, but...

As far as IM aware, most of the inhabitants of the forest are really, honestly, not all that hostile and they're definitely not all out to get you. Do you think the deer in the forest are really that mean? ): I wouldn't have thought that a game like The Endless Forest would even attract the kind of person who just wants to have their little in-crowd hierarchy.

My Aeska (doe) wore the zombie pelt sometimes, I've never found it ugly. I dont find any pelt ugly, just different shades of colour and aesthetic icons. Everything about the endless forest is beautiful to me, I think thats how the creators designed it <3


To be honest, i've seen several posts of yours in which you seem to be a fairly sensitive, and caring person. To be sure, its not a bad thing, but then it makes me wary.. like "oh god, i just dont even want to run into that person in the forest incase I just do something that accidentally upsets them".
And I don't mean for that to upset you. You're quite welcome to approach any of my deer in the forest, and I'll respond happily, unless I don't see you, i'm away from the game, or i'm feeling miserable and antisocial and just want some time out. It's just something you should know that IM really conscious of, and sensitive around, myself.
