Allow me to rage for just a moment.

So I found out the hard way that airsitting is a goddamn chore if you're looking to sit in a specific spot.

Thanks to VCG/Virgil, I finally figured out how to get to the near top of the Ruins. Now, for the longest time, I have imagined a little Thylacine using the top of the Ruins as a playground, sitting and lounging as she pleases.

Well, thanks to some dumb luck, I managed to find a tiny corner spot that's just perfect for her to sit on. It's the correct height, correct length.

Earlier today, I decided to leave it to socialize with Dag, VCG, etc.

Well, afterwards, I decided to try and get back up there to show off a bit.

Dag signs off.

Still not up there.

VCG signs off.

Still not up there.

Demon and Fay fall asleep.

Still not up there.

Demon wakes up after about 30-45 minutes.

I'm STILL not up there.

It took me about close to TWO FREAKING HOURS to get back into that spot, and even then, Alkina's front end is off the ledge by about 2 inches. Which, may not seem much, but to an OCD perfectionist like me, it's quite aggravating.

Long story short, airsitting was supposed to be fun, but, in retrospect, it's a goddamn chore.

If there's anything that should be fixed in the game, it's the ability to actually MANEUVER WHILE YOU'RE UP IN THE AIR, AND NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT HITTING THE GROUND.

I came close SEVERAL times to getting it right, but I would end up being off by about 5-6 inches or so.

I've been practicing

I've been practicing airsitting since I first learned how to do it so it's no so bad after a while. d: After you get the hang of reaching that same spot it's not so bad.

Good practice= Floating on sitting deer's antlers.
I was notorious for this for a while, I still do it once in a while.

I feel your pain. I've been trying and trying to sit on the crying idol but damn, it's so hard ;_; I always end up like... MILES AWAY. Because it looks right on my perspective and when I rotate the view, it's completely off. AHHH- D:

Still, two hours is a bit

Still, two hours is a bit much to finally get it almost completely right. I still wish there was a way to maneuver around in the air without hitting the ground ;;

I've never really tried that, since most deer I know either: a) Don't sit still long enough to try that, b) Don't have Real Deer Antlers, which makes judging it a bit difficult, or c) Don't like me pestering them to do that xP

I actually did try the camera idea, but I have to actually maneuver the camera while airrunning. The Plaats and the Ruins are a distance enough away that you can't properly line yourself up to be exact, so you end up having to move the camera around ;;

I...would much rather avoid sitting on the Crying Idol.

Theres an easier pedestal you

Theres an easier pedestal you can get on using the big hill with the mushroom circle by the ruins if you'd like to use that too. xD

I understand where you're

I understand where you're coming from, but the main issue is, you aren't supposed to be able to airsit at all, in reality.
The game isn't made for flying deer >_>

Don't get me wrong, I love airsitting too, and also hate having to get up and retry each time it doesn't work, but.. You're lucky you can airsit at all...

Airsitting was a glitch found by Nem, many moons ago. It is not part of the actual gameplay, so don't be surprised that we can't move around in the air! At least, not without messing with a certain file!
