Greetings my fine fine friends!!

So, you have sought out the forest, and whatever has led you up to that moment, when you discovered The Forest has been exactly what you needed to come here willingly, and intrigued.

My name is Mystress, and I will do my best to become your guide for whatever questions you may have.

After playing for nearly a year now, I have seen things change for the better and worse. Yet, I can't hold a candle to some players who have been here far longer than I, and have seen every change the forest has ever experienced. New players, older ones coming and going. Fights, both in-forest and out, finding new friends, trusting friends, buying merchandise... I must say, out of many of the forums I have ever been on, this one I can say has held my interest, inspired more art--- I've met new friends and some of whom I know will stay with me forever...

This place is full of people to whom you can trust willingly and without hesitation.
It's a place where community and family truly do become the very same thing.

I have felt more at home here at some points in my life, than ever in the "real-world".

I pray, dear player that what you experience in the forest will last a lifetime within your memories, and that whenever you feel lost or confused, you may turn to us, your community and family. And I trust everyone here will welcome you with open arms.

QUESTIONS!

How do you set a display picture beside your name?

1.)To the left of the page, click My account it's under your username.
2.)It will bring up your home-page, at the top there are black tabs.
3.) Click Edit
4.) Account Settings will be highlighted now. Underneath Account Information, there will be a section labled Picture.
5.) There will be a button that says Browse, click it.
6.) From here, you can choose any picture from your computer to place as an avatar/icon.

I keep getting odd codes when I comment, what does that mean?

When the game creators Michael and Auriea switched servers to hold the community site on that was being quite glitchy, it turns out the switch was a bit more difficult than they had planned. To keep a long story short, this site has a few glitches and kinks that still need to be fixed and until that time-- you can just hit the "back" button after you place your comment. It will post. Everyone has this problem, and it's nothing to be concerned over.

What is this thing called "SpellData"? And what do I do with it?
This is something that needs a lot of explaning, and for some of us older players, I have relieved you all of the service of ever having to explain it again!!

SpellData records all the pelts, masks, and antlers on your deer.
If you fall into the pond, or click the "Log out" button in-game, and haven't saved your SpellData, the next time you log in your deer will be naked once more.

Here is how to save your SpellData (Visa users this will be different for you sorry)
1.) On your desktop, click My Computer.
2.) Next, click Local Disc (C:).
3.) There will be a folder named Program Files. Click it.
4.) "" Tale of Tales. Click it.
5.) "" Endless Forest 3 . Click it.
6.) "" Userdata . Click it.
7.) From here, you're going to want to Make New Folder (should be to the left). Name it whatever you want. This will be where you place the SpellData containing your deer's set.
8.) Now, you're going to see a file named SpellData.cgr this has all of your pelts, antlers, and masks your deer had on when you closed out of the game (Not LOGGED OUT).
9.) Right click the SpellData, copy, then open up the folder you named and paste the Spelldata within it. Good! Now you just saved your SpellData!

Now, if you accidentally fall into the pond and are washed clean of all you were wearing, you can open up the foler you made, copy the spelldata (once again within the folder you named!!) and paste it where the other SpellData is. It will ask if you wish to overwrite the SpellDatas. Click YES . There you go. All done!!

If anyone has Slugg's Spell Saver directions and would like to help me out, it'd be much appreciated. I do it old-school.

I've seen deer dancing in the air and in trees! How do I do that?

You're going to want to find a hill.
Run down the hill in any dirction full speed while hitting the H key to jump. You're going to want to hit it really fast. You will gradually see your deer climb up in elevation, it's like magic! This may take a few times until you actually get it, but it's worth it! Now, hit the escape button when you think your deer is the highest in the air it can be. Your deer will sit, and you'll see the action buttons at the bottom dissappear. Quickly click the one that has "dance" on it. Your deer should be dancing in the air!!

How do I get music on my page like you?

Go to Myflashfetish.com, make an account there. It's simple, and easy!
Search for a song, type it in the search bar at the top of the page.
It should come up with some results. Click play to hear the song. If you like it, click the + button next to where you clicked play. Click customize at the top, fix it up however you want. Then Save and get code. Log in. Copy and paste the code onto a the post on TEF you want. Click (before you post the page) Input format, beneath the area you type, click BBCode. All done!
