WHAT A CORNY TITLE. Anyway just some events that happened through today, some less than ten minutes ago. If you recognize yourself speak up! (Contains images!)
Day 3.
Ausar left his son alone between two large logs outside the graveyard. Told him not to wander off. Alabaster scoffed at the notion because he was no longer a tiny unweaned weakling. He was almost ready for antlers!
Waited for around twenty minutes, got bored and wandered away to find his sire. Instead found himself shadowing young fawns and challenging them to rough games by rearing and stabbing at them with his forehead. None of them seemed particularly interested. Most ignored him. Got mad and wandered off.
Met another fawn who did not seem swayed by his acts of fighting and persisted to try and snuggle/rub on Alabaster, much to his distaste. Told them no repeatedly and tried to back away despite their constant attempts.
Found he rather liked the attention. Started following this fawn about. Got jealous and aggressive to anyone who tried to join in with them. Started a fight with another fawn. Spent the rest of the afternoon playing with the snuggly-fawn changing pelts and masks.
Woke an adult [(Whom I'm pretty sure was Flyleaf but I have no shots to prove it)] by the sleeping statue who roared in anger. Scared Alabaster, made him run and lose his friend. Angry, he slept for the rest of the afternoon on a rock near the playground.
Later, investigated many deer gatherings and marveled at the size of the stags. Found this gathering;
Played with what he assumed was the fawn of the pair on the left, delighted someone wanted to play as roughly as he did. Noticed the black and white adult on the right being aggressive, took this as an excuse to test his bravery and started trying to fight with the older (by jumping-head-butting).
Continued to roughhouse with the other fawns and this adult until he leapt upon the adults head and hurt his brisket on their antler. Ran off crying for his father, bleeding lightly.
Finally settled into his original spot to wait for Ausar, sniffling loudly.
...
Slept for a while longer, Ausar came back smelling of other deer but Alabaster was too happy to see him to care. Daddy tended his wound and lay with him until he was calm enough to wander off again, this time Ausar followed until Alabaster was adamant he could cope on his own.
Located a family group, was amazed to see the mighty stag Gehirn for the first time. Stood by in interest as he watched him interact with another deer and hoped there might be a fight.
When they split and the family moved away, Alabaster remained to follow the black and white deer out of curiosity before stumbling upon Gehirn and family on his way back to his logs and own father. Watched them from a distance in childish awe before moving off.
Reunited with Ausar, mutually groomed.
Awe, sweet baby.
