ABIOGENESIS CANCELLED

We had to cancel ABIOGENESIS because our servers can't handle the amount of people that showed up. We're very sorry about this. We're flattered that you all want to attend the show. And we wish we could have massive parties like this. But apparently we can't.

We'll need to find a solution for this if we're ever going to do ABIOGENESIS again.

Aww, thats a shame that you can't have an abio Michael... I did see something, though - the time of day changed for a few seconds. That was awesome.

I visited the Drinkplaats just before, I wasn't up for dancing so I sat alone outside the ring. I was the little fawn with poppies!

Thanks for trying, M&A. Hopefully your server problem will be fixed!

The house was there when the server booted up again, and I left to make my window bigger, came back and it turned to twilight. I sat by you for a good while actually as my pictos were slow at spreading.

Auriea was at the De Drinkplaats as a bunny, there were 2 or 3 deer there but eventually the server died.
I don't think anyone noticed Aureia's pictogram becuase they all had "show player identification off or something. (8

Nothing in life isn't worth

Nothing in life isn't worth fighting for, perhaps in the end it'll come but don't dock an idea for a new server just because fundings are thin. Good things never come easy.

Surprise Abios would be fun as well, but in general >.> do you really think they will remain secret once everyone knows ;P Once word gets out everyone will likely come flocking.

Another idea, though I'm sure everyone wouldn't enjoy it all that much. Is to LIMIT players allowed on during the Abio, that way it wouldn't strain the server all that much and it wouldn't crash like it's done today.

All of these are IDEAS, not an attempt to start a nasty fight. Solutions are out there, we all just have to put our minds to it, and actually think of what's best for TEF.

Suprise abio's aren't ever this busy Deathwing. (8
especially when people don't say anything on the community site which they probably won't since they're running around frantic.
But even if someone does, not everyone has made plans to be on TEF at the time, so not everyone will know anyway.
Suprise abio's have also been very short before, say 5 minutes? I've also known an abio when only 2 deer were awake and they got BAN'd by Michael. 8D

Yes but the thing is, I can't see us having 100 ACTIVE TEF players able to get on all at the same time.

I mean if I logged on and saw a surprise abio I could, at best, contact 20 other players.

of those 20, probably 5-10 could drop everything and get on at that second.

A ton of people came to this one because it was publicized and people made plans to be there.


I mean if the gods just popped on and fooled around for a bit then ran off they could get away with them fairly well.

I don't need a grand performance to be happy.
I honestly just want to see a god for once.
I'd be laughing my head off and amused if I were sitting about and suddenly one of them ran up, turned us all into birds, and ran away.

I got on at around 50 minutes

I got on at around 50 minutes past Abio and went on over to Das DrinkPlaats to see what was going on. It was fun to see so many players in the ring and how many critters got conjured up by the fountain. I played a weenie and lurked just outside the ring, spell in hand to cast on any in the ring hapless enough to wander in range... Later I wandered off to a normal fairy ring near the Twins and joined a frog and a squirrel in a morph spell exchange. So, no fields of flowers but still lots of fun. 8^)

Sorry to hear it did not work but thankyou for trying. Would it all help if everyone donated a dollar?? I mean if there are OVER 100 perople playing thats a good site donation to hardwear and such. Just a thought. Cheers again for trying.

I actually wasn't too sad when the I heard the abio was canceled. Sure I had to get up at 4:30 on a school morning to see it, I was happy that everyone still had a good time at De Drinkplaats. Not my deer's favourite destination, but still happy that everyone had fun!

It's a good idea to donate a dollar. But what about the ones who never come on their community account? I know a few deer like that..

Huum true or maybe when you

Huum true or maybe when you name your deer you pay a dollar to do it. It could mean that people who paid to name their deer could see the aborigines and people who did not (no names) don't which would take some weight off the server. Fingers crossed a sulution is found.

I'm sad and sorry it didn't work out. I knew there was going to be some sort of problem because when I logged on the game was working incredibly slow. Then everybody disappeared, poof! Anyway, surpise bios are a very good idea!

Im sad and shocked that the Abiogenesis is cancelled Sad Shocked .I was really looking forward to coming to this one....it was going to be my first time.But good job on the game!I think this is why my server crashed and I couldn't connect.

@Onyxsoulclaw: Thats a good idea, but what about the deer who already have names? Maybe they have to pay $1.00 otherwise they lose their account or something? But there are many deer who have multiple accounts since they like to have more than one deer..

There are a hefty amount of nameless deer. That would be a good solution, but paying for an account would make some people not want to play, which would decrease the game's popularity..

@Everyone else who posted after Onyxsoulclaw: I'm sure many many people were shocked and surprised about M&A cancelling the performance. I wonder if this is the first time they done it?

Well, I had no idea of the surprise abio (I wasn't on the site much before) and I was completely disheartened when I heard that it was on Sunday. I found out on Monday... But then I saw it was cancelled, so now i'm ok. :3

Alecsander---> Surprise abio's would be exciting, but not many people would be enjoying it if only the regular's came on. You wouldn't meet many new deer that way. I'm all about meeting others, and I hope we can have a big Abio party soon! Laughing out loud

Daniel. An Abiogenesis is something ONLY the creators of the game can do. Normally they last for just a couple minutes and usually consists of flower bombs and on occasion special pelts that can't be saved.


If you want a party, make your own thread to announce it. NOT here. I'm not against you doing it, just talking about it in this thread is off-topic and bringing up something that's long since past.

Dani. Most Abios do not say the end. That's happened ONLY once. If you want an abio, you have to E-mail M&A about it and I doubt they'll do it.
