3.13 version?

I have a deer I wanted to have the white pelt. But the only way to get the Devout pelt like you can the Crying Idol one is with the old version, or at least that's what I heard. It seems I read it in an entry somehwere but I can't remember. lol So I tried to download the old version to see how that would work. But when I opened it to play the game, there were no trees, no deer, no nothing. It was just empty aside from me. It wouldn't let me log in and there was no bar to do any actions at the bottm of the screen. And it was going VERY slow. It basically just didn't work. That's no problem though, I just unistalled it and got 3.4 back. But... What could I have done wrong to make it not run properly? Is there a patch for it or something I would need to download as well?

But anyway... I would just like to know if there is any possible way to get the white pelt with 3.4. Some trick maybe? Or just "No shut up SilverBells and stop asking so many questions. THERE IS NO WAY." xD

Sadly, there isn't a way to get the permadevout pelt with the 3.4 version, but if you play 3.31, you can. Version 3.13 is for the DotD sets and the Crying Idol mask. ♥


Edit: The only way that I've found to make 3.13 work is to delete all the files in it, and then replace it with all the 3.31 files. It doesn't seem like it should work, but it does. And it's 3.13. Lol.

So how do I replace all the files? Just download both of them and do some copy and pasting?

And if I were to get the older ones, would I need to delete my newest version before installing them?

I MOUSTACHE you another question. lol Saying that this all worked, and I was able to play the older version and what not... Do I just worship at the Twin Gods statue to get the white pelt and it last the rest of the time I'm logged in?

Lol. Yes. Download both of them and copy/paste.

Uhm...I don't. I just install -over- the other one.

Uh...no. You don't need 3.13 to have to permadevout pelt. 3.13 is just for the DotD set and stuff.

To get the permadevout pelt, all you need is 3.31, and you only need to have it downloaded and it'll work. The only change is that you might not see Abiogenesis and the spelldata isn't on the server like it is with 3.4. You still have to save your own spelldata and use it to switch characters and stuff.

But to get the permadevout, you do this.

1. Go to the twin gods and pray until you turn white.
2. Go to your menu screen, to network, uncheck the 'connect automatically' box and hit disconnect.
3. When you are disconnected, then hit connect
4. Go back to the forest, stand up as your deer, run around a little, or air-jump, and when your game connects again you should have the permadevout pelt.

You mean that when I leave the game my last pelt won't just automatically be saved right? I have to go in under Network and hit 'save pelt'? And with switching characters, I have an account for each character. But I will be able to use the accounts like I have before right?

No, in 3.31 your spelldata

No, in 3.31 your spelldata isn't saved server side. With the new one, it is, so you can't have multiple pelts on to sneeze off. 3.4, it's saved server side, so you can save your spelldata and when you sneeze it off you just have your original brown pelt underneath. I don't get why you think it's so hard...

Alphafrost - I know you're trying to be helpful and all, but your last sentence is completely uncalled for. I'm not trying to be rude, and I don't think you are either, but let's please try to keep this friendly. It's a simple question that can be solved with a simple answer. Let's keep it at that. c:

Silver - Okay. So with 3.4, all the spelldata is saved 'server-side', meaning that on the network panel, there is a button that says, "Save Set" and "Load Set", meaning that when you have a set saved to a current login information and to a current deer, 3.4 saves that spelldata to the server, so when you log in again under that information, the last set you saved is what loads for you.
But with 3.31, you can download a program called SpellSaver, and it will save the sets for you, so you can upload different deer and different sets.

I dunno if that made sense...if you still don't get it, just ask. ♥

WetterHound- Alright I was about to do my damage and try to download the stuff. rofl But, the link you gave me to the download sight, they have 3.30 and 3.13 but not 3.31. :C What do I do? Is there another place that would have 3.31? And I found the Spellsaver download. So I've got that ready when I get the download link for 3.31. After that I think I should be able to get this thing going. ♥

I think they may have gotten rid of it because it's an older version, Wetter. And my last sentence wasn't uncalled for. I just didn't understand why it seemed so hard to get. I got it. You mistakes my confused tone for malice. Unless you know my intent, don't assume anything.

There is glitched spelldata

There is glitched spelldata for the permadevout, too. It's much easier because doing the Network-glitch doesn't always work. All you have to do is run through and out the De Drinkplaats, or an alternate way is get a pelt spell cast onto you and sneeze it off/get the crying idol pelt and sneeze it off.

Just give me your email if you would like me to send it to you, as I'm not sure where the original blog is containing the data[which was by Hraeth<3]

True, true...I have the download link on my other computer...I'm sitting here using grandma's computer and I'm not at my house and all...if Silver wants the spelldata, I think sending it to her is the only way to do it right now, anyway. Spellsaver only works with version 3.31, so yes... if i emailed you the data and you saved it to spellsaver, it should work on 3.31 :x
Owait so 3.31 isn't working for you? Did you use this when installing both? [I haven't read through the comments above so I'm a little clueless derp]

Okay! If that doesn't work, try uninstalling both and then installing, using Sluggs thing again. I'm pretty sure it should work, although some files may still have gotten mixed up in the 3.31 folder.

It wasn't just a blank empty world- There were trees and sounds and other deer and stuff. I came up as a nameless because I hadn't logged in as any of my deer.

I think the problem was I wasn't running it as administrator. Whatever that means. xD I've just seen people with questions and they said they 'ran as administrator' and it fixed the problem. :\ Okay. Well now I'm off to download SpellSaver and see how this goes. (:

EDIT- Alright I've download 3.1 and SpellSaver and I think both are working fine. Now. How do I use this SpellSaver and get that white pelt onto Atticus? (: Is there a tutorial on how to use it somehwere?

You need to go to your tef

You need to go to your tef 3.31 folder > userdata and paste the Perma-devout spelldata into there [click copy and replace if asked] and thennn open Spelldata and click "save spelldata", save it, preferences saves which account you're logged into the game with, and then tadaaa! OPen your game and do that pelt-sneeze thing I told you heehee.

Okayyy. So..find the SpellData file in your TEF folder, and delete it. Then open the link I gave you and shove that CRG or whatever it is file into your userdata file. You then should have a 'Spelldata' and a 'Preferences' file in there. And then, open spellsaver, and hit 'save spelldata'. You can save that stuff so you don't have to keep replacing the file and all...and when you go in-game, you should be a nekkid minideer. Run through the Drinkplaats and you have the devout pelt. <8D

Although, you can't cast over the devout pelt, so you'll have to go back as a minideer and get the rest of your set. -nod nod nod-

Uhrmmm....with 3.31 you can do pretty much everything...but you won't see the candles at Halloween, but you can see everything else...and uhm...if there's ever the time when mooing causes you to blow bubbles, you won't blow bubbles, either.

But you still see weather changes...I'm not sure about Abios....<8O

OH! And am I just seeing things or do those white birds that fly through the forest show up more around the white pelts?! I think I see more of them when I play Atticus than when I play any other character! Shocked

And, I think I still don't really get how to use Spellsaver. When I switched characters it wiped the other one's set away. lol So Atticus has the large grey antlers and long mask. How do I save that so when I switch to say, SilverBells, when I go back his set is still there? (:

Make sure you're saving both the Spelldata -and- the Preferences file, because the latter contains all your login information and such...

Um... Okay. Lemme try to explain better. (:

When I was logged in as Atticus, every time I would come and go from the forest he would have his set. Then I switched to one of my other characters, SilverBells. I logged out Atticus and logged in as SilverBells. Then when I logged back in as Atticus later, his set was gone and he was a naked default deer. How do I save his antlers and mask so when I switch deer it doesn't wipe their sets away? That's what the program SpellSaver is for right?

Did that make more sense? xD I mean nothing is really wrong it's just a pain having to get my sets back every time I switch deer. X_X

Oh! Okay. When you close TEF, just hit the little 'x' at the bottom of the screen. Don't log out. Logging out makes you loose your spelldata. Sorry. I didn't get it at first. xDD

Well, kind of... Um... I don't think we're getting eachother. xD

I usually hit "quit" when I want to leave the forest. And I never log out just for leaving the forest, I never hit the log out button. I'm just saying that when I switch characters, like from Atticus to SilverBells, I'm changing username and password to be my other deer. And when I change deer my sets are wiped away. But hitting "X" will save them? *confused*

We're just not connecting on this one. xD lol
