"I require a teacher to learn how to read this...'English'...language. I am willing to work for the lesson. Please, I really want to read this 'Bible' treasure I was given."
Not played in-forest, but is rather written of on TEFc.
Favorite place in the Forest is the Ruins, as it is similar to his old home in Sudan.
History -
Ayya was the guardian of a pyramid's treasure. He stayed hidden for countless years, protecting the treasure by killing the few treasurehunters who entered the tomb. He lived off of burrowing bugs that crawled inside the tomb. Eventually he grew weary of guarding the treasure, which had become old and worn, so he crawled out of the pyramid and left the old tomb.
After wandering, he found himself in the Endless Forest.
Defining characteristics -
- Loyal to those who it serves, seeks out those who appear to have leadership roles.
- Not poisonous, but excellent at constricting prey and enemies.
- Will do jobs for "treasure", which can actually be anything. Something sentimental, something random.
He literally treasures it as if it were gold and jewels.
- It hides it's treasure in a secret location.
- Can bury itself in sand and dirt for protection
- Can read hieroglyphs and Arabic
- Euyru may need Ayya's assistance in the future. (Paid for, incomplete)
Treasures Collected
Euyru - A fang of one of the Tsavo Maneaters Euyru - A metal shard of a sled used during the gold rush Euyru - A book (Bible) from a man who had just converted to an entire different religion
Snakes, too? This place can't get any better! Waterstar's lips curled into a smile when she saw the big python a few yards away. Back in her original forest, she lived near the Snake Rocks. She loved to hunt snakes, they provided not only food but a challenge for her. She would usually eat smaller ones, but usually never the bigger ones... but this could provide her food for a while.
Waterstar wasn't the type of predator that would walk up to her prey and say, "You would make a nice dinner, dear." And attack. She hunted for prey, and over years of hunting experiences, she knew she had to be quiet and make a sneak attack. She could leap for the head and seperate the first cervical vertebrae, which would kill them easily. She got into a crouch position and quietly stalked her prey. Her lips licked her chops and she jumped, claws unsheathed, teeth ready to bite...
The serpent flicked his tongue. Something caught his attention, and turning, he began to slither deeper into the Ruins. It held many small cracks and breaks where slender creatures could crawl through.
Saaaaaahhhhhh..., the serpent spoke in it's own tongue, those who understood him heard, "There you are..."
With one lash, the serpent rushed into the crack. A terrifying squeal sounded, the snake had caught a rabbit in it's den. Squeezing, the life ended, Ayya smiled.
Aaaasssaahhhhh..., he spoke to his now dead prey. "You are more delicious than all of the dung beetles in the world...", and he began to feed within the small space.
Treasures added, other stuff moved around. May figure out a different way to list the treasures...
Also Ayya wants to learn whichever language the Bible is in so he can actually read it. He knows how to read hieroglyphs and ancient Arabic so far.
Edit - Decided the Bible is in English. Anyone got a suggestion for how Ayya could learn English? Do you have a character who might be able to 'teach' him?
If all else, maybe Quad could help. He's able to speak in English.
If Ayya needs to learn English, the only thing I could think of is to have a deer help him, with the assistance of maybe the tombs at the Ruins? Since, you know, headstones generally have words on them.... and such.... yea
track
Ooh Quad, I love this! Euyru
Euyru would have an absolute blast talking to this fellow.
(8 Very awesome track placed -here-
