Tall, skinny and boney with skin patched of vitiligo, dark brown hair and brown eyes almost black. Quickly given clothes to dress himself in, confused by the concept of clothing and messed up at first. Had to relearn how to walk in his new form. Discovered he can't talk in his human form either and found a weakness in his lungs where he had been shot in his days of the living and immediately taken back to when he had been shot with searing burning pain in his lungs and what felt like suffocation. Told to take it easy and recovered soon. Taken to Alchemilla's home, by then the cold that would have frozen his bones back in the forest had gone, amazed by what human homes look like and curious to find out more. Returned afterward to Alchemilla's nest. Alchemilla had gone into labour. Delacroix excitement could be hardly contained and he often experienced tics and fidgets that were beyond his control despite the cold that had slowly begun to seep in his bones once again. Was surprised by the large crowd of company that had come to witness the birth of his firstborn, only recognized one out of them; Artemis. Overwhelmed with love, excitement but also an overwhelming sense of worry and sadness as his past, present and future seemed to collide all at once and create a confliction inside the bull. Nonetheless, overjoyed at the birth of his daughter who Alchemilla had deemed as Chevalier. 2018/12/16 GOD A LOT HAPPEN BUT BASICALLY HE'S GONNA BE A DAD SOON Alchemilla offered to be a surrogate for Delacroix via magic after learning the bulls desire to have a calf of his own. I DIDN'T UPDATE FOR A LONG TIME BUT THEY'RE COMING SOON AND THEY'RE GONNA BE RLLY CUTE AND SMALL FOR A BIT but Deli-guy is staRTING to freeze :<< so he's sticking around Milla's nest bc where else can he go might as well stay and become an actual statue there 2018/08/16 Took a stroll and plopped down next to a pile of wood nearby the ruins. Not long after, a stranger came along and laid next to the bull. They introduced themselves and asked Delacroix of his name, all Delacroix could give him was silence. His new acquaintance by the name of Alchemilla clued in of his mutism and by the bounds of magic, gave him his speech. "Try to speak." Alchemilla had urged the bull. The bull gave a grunt and nearly jumped from his shock that has speech had returned, although he was warned it could be only temporary. Nonetheless he felt an overwhelming surge of emotion that he kept under lock and key. Delacroix gave Alchemilla his name and from there they had their conversation, with an underlying venting tone to Delacroix's words. They rambled on aimlessly until Alchemilla fell asleep beside Delacroix. The Forest was cloaked in night and very quiet. Wasn't feeling comfortable being alone in the dark, but tried to fight the urge to go back home and join her herd. Remembered Penelope, wishing the doe was there to sing her something. Once again felt very sad knowing that she will never be able to actually talk with her. Got up and wanted to go home, when a strange sound caught her attention. Something was moving through the tall grass towards her, and whatever or whoever that was, it was BIG. Creeped out and looked around trying to find a place where she could hide in case she had to, but it was too late. The giant figure was already there in front of her. "H-hello..." - she managed to say, but the giant creature didn't say anything back. As Delacroix approached closer, awe and a sense of protection overwashed the piebald bull at the sight of the fawns. He never got used or got over how tiny they all seemed to be compared to his gargantuan height, though sometimes that worried him. He wasn't the most attractive of all beasts, a living skeleton inside a hollow pelt wasn't the most pleasing sight for the eyes to lay upon and at times, might frighten others. Besides his looks, he was a clumsy excuse for a moose, he'd never forgive himself if by accident he'd step or fall on the delicate beings of youth. Delacroix stopped when he reached a fair distance. The sweet "hello" that came from the fawn made Delacroix happy but also in a way, sad, once again reminded of his muteness and having to repeat the ordeal of them finding out and worst, they were fawns. They might not catch on as quick as an adult would. Peri looked up at the stranger, awestruck by his size and excited by the idea of another playmate. "Hiya! I'm Peri, and this is my sister Heather!" He tried very hard to contain his energy, but couldn't resist skipping around in a small circle. "You are a giant! It's awesome!" He was a little concerned by the appearance of the giant but more excited over meeting another deer. He knew, however, that his shyer sister might be nervous. He wanted to calm her fears, so he scootched closer to the stranger to show that it was safe. "How are you today?" Once again Heather couldn't understand how her brother could be so enthusiastic about meeting a stranger, and as usually decided to back off a bit. She couldn't see any aura or feel any emotion from the giant stranger, which was confusing and scary at the same time. "What are they?" - she wondered. Even though she couldn't feel or see anything from the piebald moose, something inside her was telling her that he is not dangerous, despite his looks. However, couldn't shake her inner fear so decided to just stay close to her brother and let him do the talking. He felt flattered by the fawn, perhaps it was awesome-- sometimes a pain but awesome nonetheless. He turned his attentions for a moment to the more skittish fawn, he understood her fears. Delacroix didn't try to come closer to her, instead, he gave her a little nod and looked back at her brother in involuntary silence. Peri was confused by the silence, but maybe the bigger deer was shy like Heather. He saw the small nod at Heather and was grateful for the reassuring gesture. He happily jumped a little closer, excited. The stranger seemed nice, and he was intrigued by the mysterious silence. "Wanna be friends?" he asked hopefully. Heather nodded back and got closer to her brother. "I somehow think that they... can't speak." - she whispered to him so the stranger couldn't hear her. "And I can't see or feel anything from them, it's strange". She looked back at the giant moose hoping that she is wrong. "Maybe you can ask them if that is true?" - she whispered again to her brother. Delacroix nodded. Of course, he'd be their friend, he'd be every fawns friend if they asked. Peri looked from Heather to their new friend. "Hey, are you okay? Can you talk?" He asked, curious and slightly concerned. He stepped even closer than before, right in front of him now. He peered up at the giant's face, trying to contain his energy and remain calm for the giant's sake. Despite her fear and the strong urge to stay away, Heather decided to come closer to the stranger. "I think they can't," - decided to say out loud. "is that true?" - looked up at the moose. "Just nod if it is." He nodded again. Delacroix laid down, coming closer to the fawns levels of height. They caught on quite quickly, which was good news for Delacroix. He pitied the ones that tried to talk to him and apologized in his head for the first few moments that they didn't catch on. Peri felt sorry that the giant couldn't talk. Talking was so fun, he thought, and it helped him get some excitement out. "I'm sorry you can't talk, that must not be fun." He said, watching as the giant sat down. "You're really cool though, even if you can't talk. You don't have to talk to be awesome!" He said, trying to cheer up the giant. "Heather is awesome and she doesn't like to talk, and she has another friend who can't talk much." He ran in a circle around the giant, and then another. His energy was starting to flow over, but he managed to come to a stop next to his sister. "Isn't that right Heather?" He asked, smiling. He bounced up and down now. "Oh yeah, it is." - she said, remembering Penelope again. She felt sad again, knowing how hard it is not to be able to express yourself with words. Even though Heather could talk, she had a hard time letting her words out, especially when she was around strangers. Her anxiety subsided a little. She felt proud of herself because she might have made a new friend. "My friend Penelope can't talk much, but she is such a sweet doe, maybe you can meet her one day," - she said to the giant moose, "would you like that?" - she asked him. Delacroix was happy he made the choice to approach them. An understanding pair of fawns that became his friends, and an offer to meet another one. Delacroix liked meeting new people, an extrovert he was. It was great, although his downside was he became depressed when he hadn't interacted with anyone in a while. Again, he nodded. Of course, he'd like to meet this "Penelope". Peri gave a small noise of happiness and jumped up and down, excited to make a new friend. "Hellooooo Friendooo!" He ran around again, zigzagging all over, jumping around gleefully. "Heather this is GREAT!" He was ecstatic. Heather couldn't help but smile because of her brother's enthusiasm. She perked up her usually floppy ears as she felt happy about making a new friend. But then she remembered that they don't know his name. "But Peri, how are we going to find out what his name is?" - she said in a sad voice. Just give me one. He wished the thoughts in his head could be spoken aloud with a voice that was missing. Really, others had no choice unless they had the magical abilities to find out. Other than that, Delacroix would be a pile of nicknames. Peri Paused, thinking about what the could do. "I know!" He sounded excited. "We could make sounds and he can nod if they're right or wrong! It may take awhile, but it could work!" He jumped around a little. "I know! How about -aaaaaaaa-?" He started trying to make the sound he knew. "Peri, you are so smart," - she said happily. "that could actually work! It's okay if it takes some time, we would be really happy to know your name." - she said looking at the moose. Delacroix shook his head. He'd done almost this same routine before, only the other had recited the alphabet and in response, if they'd gotten a word right, he'd tap his hoof to let them know they got it. Peri smiled, this was a good idea! "Bbbbb?" He ran around excitedly. "We'll get your name, don't worry!!" Heather smiled too. She looked at the moose waiting for his response Almost, but not correct. He shook his head. "Ccccc? Nod once if right?" Pause. "Ddddd? Maybe nod twice?" He leaped over Heather and ran around the giant Following the fawns instructions, he nodded twice once he came to "d". This was going to be a long process but it'd be worth it in the end. It'd be worth someone knowing his name. "D-e-l-a-c-r-o-i-x? Delacroix. Delacroix!!!" Peri's face burst into a smile as he started running laps around Heather and Delacroix. "YES!" He was nearly shouting in his excitement. "Hello, Delacroix! Your name is Delacroix! It's nice to meet you!" He tumbled to a halt in front of the now named giant. "This is awesome!" He gave the giant a happy nudge with his head. "I can't believe this worked! Your name is very pretty. Nice to meet you, Delacroix." - said Heather with a smile on her face. She felt very proud of her brother and his idea. A part of her wanted to get closer and give Delacroix a little hug, but once again, her irrational anxiety kicked in and just wouldn't let her do that. Instead, she just awkwardly stood there, not knowing what to say or do. "Oh, Norin and the herd are going to be so worried about us, we should go home now" - she said to Peri. "I hope we will see you around Delacroix." - she said to the giant moose. Delacroix gave a little bow, a little thank you and goodbye combined. He wished he could have more time with the fawns but he didn't want to hold them back from their own families to reassure that they were okay. The bull was thankful for the time they had and the company Delacroix needed. Peri gave Delacroix a hug. "It was very nice meeting you!" He skipped around for a second. "I don't want Noirin and the others to worry, but we'll see you around! You rock!" He danced over to Heather, ready to return to the herd, and very happy with their new friend. She loved the feeling of just running around and feeling the wind on her fur as her legs ran with no particular direction in mind at all. It was a freedom she was allowed to feel over and over again, even if she didn't feel particularly trapped. Cadence found herself at the stone playground, gazing at the fawns the jumped and played on the massive stones. She felt herself smile as she watched for a moment, but her legs were already feeling restless as she moved back into a gallop, various leaves scattering at her hooves. She sometimes lost herself as she ran among the autumn leaves, so much so that she completely forgets her surroundings, which was the only thing she disliked about running. She quickly snapped out of her thoughts as she felt herself leap over a log, her back hooves snagging on the bark. She landed with an 'oomph!' as she crashed face first into the forest floor, the log nearly knocking the air out of her lungs. It wasn't that she was unaccustomed to this, as her luck would have it, she was usually very clumsy. Her unfortunate knack for sometimes tripping over nothing made staring at the floor in defeat as a normal occurrence. The bulls heard jerked in surprised at the sound of the 'oomf', quickly gazing around, he soon saw a figure laying on the ground. He wondered if they were okay and decided to approach. His large hooves thudded heavily on the ground and his head was lowered as if already trying to lean down to their level. He was tall no doubt, and he almost always had to crouch down just to get a good look at someone. It was sometimes annoying, being tall wasn't all it seemed. Neither was having big antlers... getting stuck and being blocked by trees. Delacroix shook his head, he didn't know why he was thinking of his mass when he was approaching a stranger. His mind just seemed to wander. The piebald quickened his pace until he came close enough for the stranger to notice he was approaching, a small hint of doubt sparked in his mind when he remembered his muteness. How would he communicate? Her ears perked up at the sound of hooves approaching, ready to tell them that she was fine. But as she lifted her head and saw the stranger, she felt her voice die in her throat as her soft brown eyes widened in surprise. She knew it was rude to stare, but she couldn't help it as she gazed at the large skull that stared back. Cadence shook her head as if to shake off her shock and tried to speak as if she wasn't surprised by their mass at all, though it was a bit unconvincing, "U-Uh hello! I'm s-sorry that you had to see me like this, but d-don't worry, I'm not hurt! It happens all the time!" She tried to reassure them with a smile, though as she said that she could feel a dull throbbing in her back legs, which she knew there was going to be bruise forming soon. Well, I'm glad you're okay. Delacroix said in his mind, the bull constantly made conversations in his mind, a part of him hoped they could hear when he was trying to talk to them. He dipped his head, trying to communicate that he acknowledges she was okay. The bull tilted his bare skull to say, he wondered if she would get that he was asking what happened. Delacroix related to their clumsiness, he wasn't the most graceful creature in the forest either... far from it. A faint warmth of amusement stirred within him if only he could give just a tiny laugh, but his form now wouldn't let him. The tilt of their head was obviously from curiosity, which caused her to laugh nervously as she looked back at the log, her body still draped over it, "Oh this? I guess I kinda lost track of my surroundings and just kinda, tripped over it?" she paused and looked back at them with a playful glint in her eye, "Or it could be that someone conveniently placed a log here knowing I was gonna trip over it! Sounds more likely to me than just my clumsiness, you know?" She grinned, fully knowing that they weren't going to take that as the truth, but she hoped that it erased any thought of a possible injury from their mind. He liked her humour and gave a nod and a hoof stamp to show that he found the humour in the situation. Maybe someone is out to get you! He thought, amused. Delacroix stepped closer, slightly trying to nudge it with a hoof, testing a bit to see if he'd be able to move it out of the way. It was unlikely though, and he didn't want to put too much pressure on his bones that had nothing but a pelt to protect them. She stared at their skeletal leg for just a moment as they tried to push at the log, but quickly shook her head and heaved herself up off the log with her front legs, letting out a short gasp of pain as her hindlegs shook from the pressure of standing. Cadence managed to keep a brave face on, however, as she stood up to her full height, though she was barely chest level to the other. She looked up at their skull and quickly flashed a smile at the other to keep them from worrying, "See? I'm used to this happening a lot, so it's not that painful!" She lied, praying to the Twin Gods that they wouldn't notice her bluff. True, it wasn't as bad as it could be, but it still didn't mean that the bruises didn't hurt at all. However, it was still better than having a broken ankle, or any broken bones for that matter. Someone else could get hurt. Although he wasn't sure how often someone would be clumsy enough to miss a log there. Delacroix tilted his head again as if to say he was still questioning. Something like that could easily hurt, but he wouldn't try to push her farther to admit she'd been hurt or anything. Instead, the bull looked toward the pond, wondering if she'd catch where his gaze was following. Want to come with me? Delacroix wouldn't mind the company at all. He needed some, his usual company was becoming less and less frequent and the bull was left more on his own. It wasn't exactly the best... he liked being around others and socializing and creating bonds but lately he hasn't been doing that. The thought slightly saddened the piebald bull. She followed their gaze, squinted for a moment before getting the memo, her ears perking up as she looked back at them, nodding her head, "Sure! We can rest at the pond together!" she said with a grin, excited to get to know them better and... maybe even become friends with them! The prospect of that was exciting for her, as she always loves making friends anywhere she went. Delacroix nodded, pulling his body in the ponds direction and heading off in a trot. The bull quickly became self-conscious of his long legs, remembering back when a friend of his couldn't keep up with his speed. He immediately slowed down, hoping he wasn't leaving his friendly acquaintance in the trail of his dust. As they became closer to the pond, he watched the water. The surface was still and undisturbed, a perfect mirror of peace. Though the pond was peaceful, it gave him a pang of bad memories he fought to push back. The bull had better things to do than dwell on something that's over and done. Her hind legs were wobbly as she followed the other to the pond, but she refused to let that slow her down. Instead, she forced herself to keep pace with them, even if her legs screamed at her to stop. Once they stopped at the edge of the water, she almost immediately collapsed onto the floor, breathing a sigh of relief as the pressure of standing on her bruised legs lessened. She paused to admire the fish that swam underneath the ponds calm surface before looking back at her potential friend, tilting her head curiously as she observed them watching the water. "So, I don't think I've introduced myself properly," she said with a slight chuckle, "My name is Cadence! D... Do you have a name?" she carefully asked, unsure if the question sounded rude or not. Delacroix laid his large body down by the bay, listening to Cadence's question as he settled down. He didn't know what exactly to do, another stranger had once asked them this, but they quickly got the clue that he couldn't speak and instead made a nickname up for him. The bull looked at Cadence with a head slightly bowed. He had a name, he just couldn't speak it or show it in a way that would be clear enough to anyone. Communicating was hard for Delacroix, but it was necessary if he were to survive socially, or at all. She paused for a moment, trying to think of a way she could figure out their name as it was obvious that they did not have the ability to speak, suddenly she gasped as she came up with a brilliant idea, "Oh! I've got it, I'll just name off random letters and try to spell out your name! You can stomp your hoof if a letter is correct!" she looked up at them excitedly, "Would this work for you? It might be a bit tedious, but I'm willing if you are!" The bull nodded. Why hadn't he thought of that? Even if he did think of it, he couldn't say it anyway. Delacroix was eager for someone to finally learn his real name. Others went off not knowing or just making a nickname. He was excited for Cadence to guess but a part of him wondered how long was this going to take, exactly? Delacroix shuffled his body a bit so it pointed more in her direction and stared, waiting for the first guess. She grinned and nodded, feeling very determined, "Alright! I'll just go in order and when you stomp I'll start over again!" she took a breath and began, "A.....B.....C....D...." The bull stomped his hoof when the letter 'D' was spoken from the doe. Delacroix's eagerness began to grow. The doe nodded and repeated herself again, starting back at the beginning, "a...b...c...d...e.." The bull stamped his hoof again. Another stomp of their hoof allowed her to continue, she questioned how long their name was as she repeated the letters again, "...u...v...w...x.." The bull shot up on all fours again and began stamping his hooves wildly, excitement seemed to overtake the bull. Delacroix nodded his head, waiting for Cadence to spell his name out. Maybe she could help tell others who his name is? No, she can't possibly tell everyone. This was her way of finding out, others would have to find their way as well. She laughed in delight as she watched the bull dance on their hooves, her heart beating wildly from excitement, "Okay! So, it's D-E-L-A-C-R-O-I-X..." she paused a moment before slowly pronouncing their name, "Your name is... Delacroix?" Giving a small rear, he nodded again. That's it! Delacroix exclaimed in his head. Finally. The words sounded relieved in his mind, not only because she was done guessing, but that his name had actually been guessed. The bull hoped that others would think of this as well, he wanted his friends to know his true name. Cadence laughed again, a grin forming on her face, "Wow! I love your name, its really unique!" Thank you, I like yours too. The bull dipped his head as a thanks for the compliment. The bull laid down again by the bay, still gleaming at the compliment, though soon the worries about how he'll be able to communicate came crawling back. They couldn't just guess whenever he wanted to say something but Delacroix just didn't know how to do it. While thinking about it, he caught himself glancing at the spot where he woke up in the forest, he hadn't realized but he seemed concentrated heavily on the one spot. Cadence let out a happy sigh as she looked back over at the pond, glad she could help them out with their name. After a moment she looked back at the bull to find their gaze fixated on something. Curious, she tilted her head and spoke, "Is something the matter?" The bull was jerked out of his thoughts, for a split second, trying to gather what was happening around him and what reality was. Delacroix turned his head back to Cadence, staring for a moment before giving a curt nod. Sudden guilt gnawed at his bones, he didn't want to ruin things by getting caught up in his past but lately, it seemed to be jumping out of nowhere like a predator stalking through the shadows, waiting to pounce but this 'predator' seemed to only leave a few scratches, and never overtook his whole being. He had to move on but the process was easier said than done. Concerned for her new friend, she scooted a bit closer to them, trying to think of anything comforting she could say, "Is there anything I could do to help with whatever is bothering you?" she asked, looking up at their skull, tilting her head slightly as she did. There wasn't anything anyone could do really, this was something he'd have to defeat on his own. The most his friends could do was comfort along the way, that was the help that Cadence was already giving, so he returned the gesture with a slow shake of his head. Delacroix didn't want to dump his problems onto everyone else when others had problems of their own that they need to tend to, never mind his. She frowned as she watched them shake their large head, "Oh... are you sure? I mean, you did help me with that shifty log and discover its evil plot, so I think I kind of owe you for that!" she said with a cheerful smile on her face, beaming up at them in an attempt to distract them from whatever gloomy thoughts had entered their skull, "I'm always willing to help you, doesn't matter how small or big a problem is!" The bull dipped his head, he always used this as a 'thank you' or acknowledgement. Delacroix was glad someone cared enough to communicate with him but he still didn't feel right about telling them what was wrong-- if the way he could communicate now would even let them. How could he explain something like that? A part of him wanted to tell, to be open instead of secretive about his issues, another told him it wouldn't be good to bring it up again and make it harder to move on. The piebald didn't give a shake or nod, instead, he listened to Cadence. She paused, "Well, maybe it might be hard for you to talk about what the problem is, but whatever it is, l'm ready to help in whatever way I can!" she said confidently, her face set in a determined expression as she looked up into the afternoon sky, the glowing sun giving her even more confidence in her own words, hoping her new friend could feel her determination and hope as well, "But for now, we can just enjoy today and forget our problems and leave that to another day!" Delacroix nodded in agreement, he liked the sound of that. He just wanted to bask in the sun, feel the heat of its rays warming his pelt and bones. He laid his heavy skull onto the bay, his bare bone of a nose nearly touching the small area of water that stretched beyond them. He was watching closely for movement beneath the waters still surface, every once in a while he saw a fish flick its tail above the water and a turtle plop itself from a log and into the water and dragonflies flew around them, a blue dragonfly landing on his antlers. Cadence smiled and stared out at the calm pool of water as well, found herself mesmerized by the abundance of life thriving in the cool pond. The shimmer of the fishes scales cast by the afternoon sun, the croaking of the frogs, and the hum of a dragonflies wings soothed her as she watched quietly, content in the silence the two shared as the day dragged on. 2017/08/25 Roleplay ahead Sun-rays filtered through the lush leaves of the trees and beamed on his piebald pelt, warming him to the bone. It was a nice day, warm and active, the perfect day for adventuring through the land he lived in. Which was exactly what he did. The bull had journeyed to the playground, back in its day it seemed like it would've been quite the building, but it was ancient now and crumbling, creating platforms for those to rest and play. Delacroix had found a jackalope skull amongst the gravestones that dotted the ruins. The skull was small and a shade of alabaster. Antlers marked their place on top of the skull, like twigs-- or branches made of bone. One of the antlers were held firmly between his teeth as he trod away from the playground and towards a tree, old and growing mushrooms. Friends of his frequently stayed there, the tree stuffed with oddities. The bull quickened his pace to a trot when a pale, two-faced fawn came into view. The Two-faced's ears perked at the sound of hooves walking through the surrounding grass. Having been curled up, chins resting against the flowerbed, Jude quickly lifted his head. Staring ahead he saw the skeletal bull approaching. Smiles forming on both faces, he gently rose to his feet. The small fawn had a floral blanket draped over his delicate frame, tied like a soft cape, in addition to wreath flowers that settled at the base of his little neck. Jude had been feeling rather bad the previous days. Most his time recently being spent wandering about, and dwelling on past events and possible future issues. Realizing that Delacroix was coming to visit instantly excited the fawn. He waited at the base of his tree, just outside its hallowed opening, ready to greet his friend. The undead moose quickened his pace again, almost in a soft canter when he knew Jude caught sight of his approach. Delacroix slowed down when he reached the flower bed, the delicate plants easily crushed and clamped against the ground underneath his body, though was just bone, was still quite ponderous. He gave a jerk of his head as a greeting but also as a way to see if the jackalope skull would catch Jude's attention. Delacroix slowly set it on the flower bed, nudging it forward with the narrow end of his skull that once served as a muzzle protected by flesh, skin and fur. A gift. The voice he once had, deep but gentle, echoed in his mind. Jude's eyes seemingly lit up at the sight of the skull. Underneath the blanket-cape, his tailed wagged back and forth. The pale fawn quickly bent his head down towards the skull, touching his noses to its smooth, off-white surface carefully. "I love it!" He cheerfully told the bull, before picking the skull up himself, and gently placing it among his collection of bones and odd things. After a few seconds with his head buried in the tree, he stepped back, a small pendant- a delicate bird skull, dangling from a chain from the fawn's right mouth. Jude skipped over towards Delacroix, standing right in front of the moose, staring up at his bone face. A way of showing the small skull to him. I'm glad. It was useless to say the words in his mind but in a way, he hoped others could hear his thoughts-- to an extent at least. The bull gave a small rear, a way for him to show the satisfaction he felt knowing Jude liked the gift. Curiosity pricked at the bull when Jude reappeared from the collection of oddities. Gift for me? Delacroix felt warmed by the exchange, a gift was always nice. He had few belongings of his own, it'd be great to add on to his own little collection which he stored back at the playground. Delacroix wished he could utter words to say his thanks but wishing wouldn't bring his voice back. He leaned his head down to the fawns level and carefully took the chain and held it with his back teeth, bowing his head for a long duration to show he was grateful. Though the bull remained silent, Jude did his very best to try and read his body language. His gift was received well, and from what Jude could tell, Delacroix was happy about it. Once the undead took the gift from him, the two-faced did what appeared to be a small dance- tapping his delicate, pink front hooves gently to the forest floor under him. After the small "happy dance" the child stepped forward and shoved his faces into the undead's piebald pelt, silently snuggling against him. The bull leaned down, bowing his head and neck around the small fawn to return the affection. This is what Delacroix always yearned for, maybe he'll have it someday with his own offspring. The dreadful memory of his past, which had begun to crawl its way to the centre of his attention, was pushed back again. Delacroix was glad to have company again, he always seemed to need a constant distraction-- or ways to own up to his failure. A small, quiet bleat came from the fawn. He stayed pressed against the skeletal one for a few moments, almost for comfort. Lingering feelings of dread and anxiousness still seeping into his innocent mind, though they remained hidden, and were fading rather quickly. Gently he stepped away to give the bull his space before speaking. "I gotta return home now," he said in a soft voice, speaking of a place outside the Forest. His small companion- a grey and white squirrel with tufted ears leaped out of the tree housing the collection of oddities, landing on the fawn's back. "I'll be back soon, though, I promise." he said to Delacroix with a smile. See you soon. He signaled a goodbye with the dip of his head, wondering what this 'home' was. Where did Jude come from? The bull was curious but didn't want to stop Jude from going home. Perhaps you come from my old home. Delacroix stood in place, waiting for the pale fawn to disappear from his sight, at least to make sure he was okay. After Jude had left for his home-world, Delacroix left with his new possession and returned to the playground. The bull hid his possessions at the ruins. He stuffed them into a hole that was below one of the walls of the ruins, the way to it was blocked by two trees but Delacroix was able to squeeze through. The bull hid his new possession, a crow's skull hanging by a chain, with the rest of his belongings. He squeezed back through the trees and laid in front of them, relaxing to the sounds of the forest and sunlight piercing through the trees. 2017/08/23 Has been less social than what he's used to lately, hasn't been around anyone really or hung out with the usual group. Unfortunately, the lack of things to occupy him left his mind to wander and into places he didn't want to bring up. Found himself in the worst place at the worst possible time. He had sauntered to the pond, the place where he first woke in this new world after his death. Delacroix had been shot in the lung by a hunter while protecting twin orphaned calves. His usual happy attitude and mentality turned into a festering self-blame and guilt. He began to wonder if the calves were still alive, they were quite young and not that ready to strike out on their own in the cruel world. Numbness seemed to hollow his emotions and bring a heavy weight on his bones. Delacroix decided to nap, trying to escape the darker side of his mind and past for as long as he could though the sleep didn't go well. It wasn't just the memory but it was also worrying about himself. The bull was afraid of it suddenly becoming cold or raining. Quickly, he made his way from the pond and to the old oak and settled down inside, pressing himself against the bark and laying on the patch of grass within the hollowed out trunk. 2017/08/23 Wandered through the forest until he found himself nearby Jude, Lu, Mirza and Pho. Walked up to them, Pho and Mirza were new faces to him. Was approached by Mirza Stayed around them for a bit before strolling away. Made his way to the ruins, laid on one of the large platforms and took a nap. Was approached by Lemon when she caught him rousing from his sleep, was given a brief greeting by the blind doe before she departed from Delacroix's brief company. 2017/08/21 AYEE new CSS <3 2017/08/10 Wandered through the forest, laid in a flower patch and took a nap. oop that's all whoops, inactive sorta hh 2017/08/03 Found himself caught in the rain. Felt angered and shocked as the rain pelted onto him while trying to find shelter, instantly soaking his pelt. Hid under his usual rain-shelter at the playgrounds, mad he didn't have the chance to go anywhere. 2017/07/28 Came in a rush to the group. He felt a weird amount of energy, like an out-of-nowhere burst of energy. Romped around the flower patch and tree the group was usually at for a while before he slowly startled to settle. Eventually relaxed beside Jude, Steini and Lu and drifted off into a slumber. 2017/07/27 Journeyed to the usual group he hung around. There were some new faces mixed with the crowd though he didn't introduce himself and didn't interact, instead, he just laid by Jude who was lying beside a stranger. Seen the albino doe, Ashley he had seen before, limping to the group. She seemed to be getting a bit better; her fur wasn't stained with blood though she was still heavily wounded. Wondered why the doe chose to lay beside him but he didn't mind as she did no harm to him. 2017/07/15 Made his way to Jude and the others and relaxed with them. Noticed a new face limping towards them. It was a tall albino doe (Ashley), her body beaten up and bleeding. Felt startled by this and wondered where they came from. The doe was apologizing for her behaviour; he assumed he wasn't there when this 'behaviour' happened. The doe was sniffed by Fletcher then she made her way to a tree a bit away from the group. Noticed the sadness in her red, rose-hued eyes and decided to cheer her up. Laid down beside her to give the wounded doe company, eventually the group left but Delacroix stayed with the doe, eventually, she fell asleep. Delacroix stayed, knowing he'd feel guilty if he left. 2017/07/14 Found Jude in the birch forest with others (too lazy to click on pictos fjds). Joined them for a bit and seen the "human", Sankah there. Stared at the human, getting flashbacks of his death but remained calm and collected. Left the birch forest and found Emrys(Hum) laying by the pond, laid beside the lamb for a bit before departing. 2017/07/13 Was wandering around the pond and found little lamb. Laid with the lamb, covering him in the pelt that hung loosely from Delacroix's body like a blanket. Started contemplating a bit about the future, thinking about when the days would start getting cold again. How would he keep hypothermia from creeping into his bones? The cold would temporarily paralyze his bones. He was thinking of how he needed a way to keep warm and what to do for the rest of winter, thought of a hibernation during winter. Ended up falling asleep and curled around the small lamb. 2017/07/11 Ran over to join Jude's group, seen little lamb run for them but accidentally ran past them. The lamb quickly turned around and leaped after him and joined him at the group and stood beneath the bull. Noticed a strange face that at the same time, as all too familiar. An almost human creature named Sankah, mostly human but with kudu horns and kudu ears. Became protective of the small lamb when the "human approached". Was on guard but wouldn't attack unless he needed to, ended up getting a pet on the skull. Appreciated this but could sense the rest of the group was uncomfortable for the two-legged creature to be there. The human stirred up some bad feelings as well, remembering the calves he failed to protect when he was shot in the lungs but she wasn't to blame. 2017/07/10 Met small lamb again, was used as a blanket by the lamb. Didn't mind it, didn't mind their company either. Finds them adorable and innocent. Was found by Ziv again. Was told by the goat that he (Ziv) could hear his thoughts, was shocked but also seen it as an opportunity to have some sort of a voice back. 2017/07/09 Made some literature on his background (message from 2018/02/13, this literature is old and no longer fully accurate)here! Check it out aaa. Met Adam by the ruins, accompanied by Lu. Was greeted with aggressive motives. Triggered Lu to annoy the horse before running away, leaving Delacroix with the stranger. Feels he was in a bad mood so tried to approach again. Was given the same greeting, bared teeth although this time Adam tried to shove the bull down. Was shocked by this, didn't want to fight and ran away, was chased away from the ruins by Adam. Nobody messes with Adam We Met Rasui. Kept getting screamed at by the bird. Was up to his ankles so had to keep leaning down, eventually laid down so he didn't have to reach down so far. Still kept getting screamed at. Found a small lamb alone, Hum. Stayed with the lamb to give it company, got on edge when Adam approached them. Usually tries to avoid conflict but felt the need to protect the child, eventually, Adam left, feels he scared him off. Baby fever is suddenly growing stronger? Met Ziv. Stuck around the goat for a while, was climbed on when Deli laid down and was offered a feather which produces ink. Wonders what he could use it for? 2017/05/06 Sat with Jude today, met a little rhino baby? Khayru. Sniffed them. Laid down with Jude, ended up being crawled on by the little fawn. Soon Jude departed from their company, leaving Deli alone by the spot he saw them at. Decided to take a little nap. Found Jude and Lu again. Instead of the usual play he'd use to do with Jude, he laid down with them instead, ended up taking a short nap before waking up again. Departed soon after. 2017/07/04 Found Jude and a few others lying beside a tree within a flower patch by the ruins, decided to join them and laid with them for a bit before departing. 2017/06/23 AAA PLAYER IS BACK BROUGHT DELI BACK IN GAME-- ok serious update now Woke up to the rain, hiding under the rock at the playground. Trying to keep dry and keep as warm as he can. Unhappy about the rain coming back and interrupting his exploration. Was greeted by Moth who seemed spooked by the rain. Joined Deli under the rock, stayed with him for a bit before departing. Another being, Morto, took Moth's place in the company. Laid with them under the rock before he left. Glad he had company on a rainy day. Deli and Morto drawn by postmortem <3 2017/06/02 crap owner went inactive 2017/06/01 Did nothing. Stayed at the ruins for the rest of the day without company. 2017/05/31 Stayed at the ruins today. Was joined on the ruined platform by a small, blind bunny-deer, Verone. Laid with them for a bit and snuggled up to the bunny deer, accidentally covering some of them in flab, like a big Deli blanket. Fell asleep with them until Verone left. 2017/05/30 No interactions so far with Deli today. Was alone and stayed at the ruin and rested for the most part. Not a productive day for the skeletal bull. Was asleep on the platform when suddenly a wild Tog appeared!! Stayed on the platform with them a while before departing. (aka owner was talking to wild tog owner and then crashed) 2017/05/29 Spent a lovely day with Ludwig. Was asked what his name was, unfortunately, couldn't answer the buck due to being mute, resulting in him getting the nickname Schädel, meaning skull. Likes the new nickname and obviously suits him well due to his skeletal figure and bare skull. Has been trying to make communication through body language and has been progressing, at least with Ludwig and will be trying to figure out how to tell others what his name is without speaking it, until then, he'll have to go by nicknames. Was given a fox skull by Ludwig, his first gift and possession and greatly appreciated and admires the generosity Ludwig showed. Ludwig showed curiosity of Deli's loose skin and fur, no harm in it as it's just curiosity and didn't bother Delacroix. Delacroix then got up and started to look for a spot to hide his possessions, a place he'd remember and a place secretive. Walked around the ruins for a bit and couldn't find any place, was given permission to use Ludwig's storage and put his fox skull and future gods there but he wanted to keep looking and would accept it if he didn't find anything. Did end up finding a spot in the ruins behind a large tree and a little tree where there was a burrow mixed with a hole in the wall that went under the ruins and made the wall its own roof(if that makes sense). Claimed the spot as his own and put his goods there. The bull then wanted to explore, made sure his timid friend was okay with going with him or not. Ludwig accepted and started to follow for a bit on a calming walk then changed his mind and head back to the ruins. Delacroix understood that was his comfort zone. They then departed and Delacroix went off to explore. Was approached by a fawn while resting on the large platform at the ruins. The fawn seemed to have a bit of a difficult time trying to climb up to him. Delacroix greeted the fawn once they climbed onto the platform, the fawn greeted back and jumped back off, bounding around. Of course, being playful himself, joined the fawn for a few moments before the fawn left. Seen Nishi starting to approach him, greeted the fawn. Was ushered by Nishi to follow him so Delacroix followed. Was led to a group where Nishi settled down. Seen Keidasi, Bhaelum and another unknown deer. Didn't interact with them and lay down with Nishi. Tried to keep his distance away from Bhaelum, he had "met" him before but acknowledged that he scared the creature before and still carries some guilt when seeing Bhaelum. 2017/05/28 Laid at the ruins before Jude came bounding over, played with them for a few minutes till the two-headed fawn led him through the forest to a flower patch where another fawn, Nishi laid. The fawn was alone and Jude was standing close to Nishi and beckoned Delacroix to come closer. Jude soon ran off and left Deli with the fawn, currently laying in the flower patch waiting for Nishi to awaken. Soon departed from the fawn, seems they aren't going to wake up anytime soon. (aka owner has to hold little brother fjdhsh) Was strolling by the pond near the crying idol when he noticed the fawn had awoken. Jumped across the stream ravine and approached the fawn. Played around with Nishi for a bit before they settled down by the tree Nishi was standing at when Deli approached. Was soon approached by Ludwig, greeted the plague masked buck and offered Ludwig to lay down with them. Stayed with Nishi and Ludwig for a while, leaving their company a long while after. 2017/05/27 Was still cold and damp from yesterday's downpour, luckily the sun was out and there was no sign of rain coming to the forest today. Needed somewhere sunny to warm his bones up and dry his body, decided the pond was the best location. Laid out in the sun at the pond for a bit, ended up taking a short nap under the radiance of it. Woke up dried and far from cold. Wandered around the woods a bit in a search for company, no luck and returned to the pond where he saw a crow. Didn't seem like any old crow, it seemed to take interest in his presence as well as Delacroix took an interest in its presence. Was approached by the crow which suddenly shape-shifted into a lovely doe, Artemis. Was slightly spooked by it but easily shook it off and took the opportunity to possibly make a new friend. The pair bounded around for a while until another pair of deer arrived at the scene(owner couldn't find out who they were oops), accepted their company and played around until Delacroix had to depart. Aka owner had to find out who they were but putting the game in windows isn't working for owner for some reason?? Met Ludwig at the ruins, had met them once before but didn't see them for a while. The smaller deer seemed timid, not exactly as playful as the others he met but that was fine. Lay with them for a while on a platform at the ruins before departing from their company. Accompanied Jude at the ruins along with two other strangers that were with him(Jude), they didn't seem to pay any mind. Laid down with them for a bit, was calming and nice to hang around someone familiar. Feels that they're closer to becoming friends or even already friends, although Delacroix doesn't like to assume things. Was soon approached by Val and Tog. Is familiar with Tog, had a small encounter with them before but Val was a stranger. Liked their added company and jumped around with them a bit, being his ol' bull-fawn self. Had a good time with them all. Walked to the pond and found Tog resting on the stone bridge with a stranger lying not too far from her. Decided to plop down with them, ended up stirring Tog from her rest. Ushered him to follow her, was taken to the old oak where there were two little trees not too far from it. Laid down with Tog by the trees and soon Val joined them. Asked for Val to stay in their company using his own body actions, most he can do since he, unfortunately, can't speak. Stayed with them for a while before leaving. (aka owner is tired and just wants to finish watching mean girls then go to bed rip) Learned one of the strangers was Jonah. 2017/05/26 Was pelted by rain and felt his fur getting drenched in the water. Isn't typically bothered by rain but for some reason he felt annoyed by the little droplets landing on him and ran around for shelter. Tried to see if a spot in the ruins would shelter him, no luck. Ran to the old oak for shelter but another group of deer had already nestled there, started to feel annoyed running around with no luck until he finally found shelter at the playground, another deer was already there but it didn't bother him and he settled under the sheltering stone and eventually fell asleep listening to the rain patter against the ground. Would prefer a buddy to prance in puddles with but everyone seems to be hiding out from the rain. Tried to make the most of the rainy day by prancing in the pond, pelt is absolutely soaked and dragged down more but that isn't a problem. Spotted Jude today but they seemed busy and couldn't quite grasp their attention and quickly moved on. Ran into another deer with a fawn, both running around, tried to join in with them but they didn't seem to want the bother and moved on again back to his little shelter stone, most likely going to stay there until the rain is over. Found his shelter spot became occupied again by a pair of other deer, went to see if the old oak tree wasn't too crowded. Unfortunately, there was still a crowd. Was left in the rain with his pelt sodden and clinging more to his bones besides the fur that usually hung from his skeletal body. Went to the ruins, although was too large to directly fit under a column, he still tried to shelter from the rain under them and unfortunately, the bull is vulnerable to the cold; not having fat or muscle or anything, just skin and fur. Quite literally, chilled to the bone. Was also met with confusing signals of either playfulness or aggression (aka owner was confused oops) by a random. Definitely a bad day for Deli-man. :'< 2017/05/25 Was approached by a fawn while hiding out in the ruins, pranced around with the fawn for a bit. The little fawn was dragging Delacroix everywhere with it and ended up circling back to the ruins. Had fun with the fawn but ended up departing from Deli's company when owner went afk oops. 2017/05/24 Nothing interesting so far. Wandered around a lot, slept in a few random places. Spotted Jude today but didn't want to bother since they seemed busy with friends. Deli needs a bean to hang out with!! Walked around the forest, found a fawn on their own, was having a bit of a lonely day himself and decided to interact. Got along with the fawn and pranced around a lot, seen Jude again while playing and had a quick play around with the familiar youngster before heading off with his little pal. Pranced around the forest with the fawn again, as well as putting flowers on each other's antlers before Delacroix sadly had to depart. Found out the little "pal" Deli interacted with is Nishi. Deli really enjoyed the little beans company! 2017/05/23 Came to the ruins again, was approached by a doe named Tog, followed her around for a bit with some jumping around, as well as approached by a little fawn. Played around with those two for a few before leaving. Deli-man is a social bean today. Wandered the forest and was noticed by a little fawn, played around with the fawn a bit which directed attention from two of the fawns friends. Played around with the three of them a bit before he departed from them. Deli is a fawn magnet??? Met Jude in the forest today, felt rather curious about their appearance but adored their uniqueness. Played around a bit before settling down for a while before departing the fawns company. 2017/05/22 Hung out for a while with Meme. Pranced around a lot bc he's a big man?? stag-child??? liked Memoo's company!! Fell asleep a few times. Mr. Flab needs to become a fawnsitter, free fawnsitting service!! 2017/05/18 Deli-man wandered around the forest a bit and found a friend(although they don't have a community account fjsjshd). Pranced around and danced a lot. Had fun!! 2016/11/27 Deli-man played around w/ a group of deer, have no idea who they were but had fun!! Also met Flyleaf!! Deli-man was approached by a random deer who he pranced around with, was a v happy zombie until oWNERS INTERNET CUT OUT AHKAHDIWJS Delacroix is a lonely zombie. :'c waiting for a puffball to roll around with!! 2016/10/22 Deli-man took his first steps in the forest today wHOA / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / |

apologies for the confusing forest emotes, Tog realized that Deli-man's large-ness was scarring Bhaelum and was trying to get him to keep a distance for a bit. ;o;
