The world seems made for dancing in.
There are so many other fawns and they're fun to play with, once I ran all over an obstacle course across boulders and played hide and seek behind rocks
with another fawn and that was exciting but I love dancing best of all. Sometimes when I dance, other deer dance along, and I can hear the music grow with a new instrument for each deer. I hope they hear the music too.
I like the other fawns but I like the adults even better, they do more magic and then
my fur changes color or
masks appear! I wish they would stay, but like the music they always seem to fade away...
There are strange stones that change my fur, too. I can tell which ones because they feel different, like they're dancing inside somehow too. Standing next to those stones feels like music I can
just almost hear. The twin white stones feel most important of all, like the center of a dance that could swallow the world.
They turn my fur white.
I like being white.
There's a tree that feels like music, too. Once I slept in a ring of toadstools nearby and dreamed about frogs. There is a pool that makes me feel very strange, like all kinds of different animals, but it never lasts outside the ring of toadstools that surrounds it.
Not everything here is nice and friendly, there is a deer the fawns whisper about. A stag who comes on you when you're sleeping and steals your mask. But I have no mask. I wasn't looking for him, but I think I found him when he was sleeping. He didn't look as scary as I expected, asleep. Then he woke up...
a white deer came along and told me no, but I...
I
danced at him!
I would have run away then, but he and the white deer ran first! Adults! Running from me!
It was snowing, and it kept on snowing. It got so cold that I went to sleep inside the big music tree, and there was
another deer asleep there. A skull-faced deer! For a little while I thought it might be the scary one from before, but... I don't
think it was. But how many stags can there be with their skulls showing? I slept near him a while, though, and then when I got up and left, he came after me! At first I thought he was going to follow me, but instead he urged me to follow him... back to the tree, to sleep some more. He was warm, and he even curled up around me. Other deer came and went but I stayed with him, a long time.
Then some fawns came along, and we danced, and I just... I couldn't help it! We'd been laying there so long and the fawn wanted to dance with me! We ran off and I showed the other fawn the rock that turns your fur red, and there were
other red deer there, and we all danced until I guess I wore them out because they all laid down and went to sleep and I was left dancing alone.
Them sleeping made me think of my friend under the tree, so I went back but he was gone.
There was another deer there, asleep. It was my size but not a fawn. Didn't wake up though.
It was colder sleeping under the tree without my skull-friend. Even with the music.
Still snowing when I woke up and so cold and lonely. I found some deer and tried to dance with them but they chased me away! I wonder if the music is wrong for them? Why would anyone not want dancing?
Sometimes if I move with the music just right I can go through rocks and trees, like I'm dancing with them. I've seen others do it too. I tried hiding in a rock to jump out but nobody came along, except a lot of birds that started circling the rock and making lots of noise. They would have given me away! I couldn't chase them off but there was nobody to surprise anyway. I'll have to try it again sometime.
I have found lots of nice deer to dance with me though! One with a
grinning mask and glossy dark fur danced with me a long time and played hiding in trees! He was good at it, better than me, so I'll have to practice. I've also seen a few adults that were my size, like a little red one that led me to a tree, and showed me to eat the pinecones that fall from it. There were other adults and fawns and
we all made magic giving each other antlers! Some of them were so big they made my head feel heavy, as big as an adult's antlers! It was lots of fun. Later the little red deer turned me into a bat! I was scared for a minute and flapped around and then I felt this strange itch that turned into a tickle that got worse until I sneezed. I'm not sure why that worked but it turned me into myself again, so it wasn't so bad. I think maybe he was just playing a joke. He turned me into a frog, too, but he turned me back when I frog-danced at him! Then
more small red deer came along and
we all danced! It was so wonderful, the music gets more beautiful the more deer dance with me, and they were all so close to my size!
I have had so many pelts and masks and antlers, I wonder what I'll grow into someday?
It worries me though that I sometimes hear a duck in the woods, but I've never seen a duck. If I've never seen one how do I know what one looks like? But I'm sure I'd no one if I saw one. I keep hearing ducks. Elusive ducks.
Someday I will find the duck.
For the first time I woke up at night in the dark and it was still snowing, but everything looked different in the moonlight. There were different birds that flap loud and
huge toadstools! I never saw such big toadstools! The whole world felt different and all the music more wonderful and more everywhere than ever. I went to the twin statues and they turned me white for a while, and I played around the toadstools.
This night felt different. Every deer I met danced with me and
a nice grey stag played and danced with me and we found a mask-making tree and tried on different masks. Some of them made my voice sound different! I made an amazing loud sound and a bunch of other deer came running! Maybe they wanted to see who made so much noise? I bet they did not expect a fawn like me!
The grey stag danced and danced with me and one two deer that were rabbit shaped came by and danced too but their music was deer music they can't fool me!
We must have danced a lot. The last thing I remembered was dancing but I must have fallen asleep.
He was gone when I woke up but I found him again later and we danced again! Does this mean he is a friend? I'd like to have friends.
I see so many deer but I don't think I see the same ones very much. There must be a lot of deer in the forest. Many more than I can count. But I guess I can't count very high yet anyway.
Also I must be growing up because I can stay up at night more now.
One night there were strange trees all over with fire on top, but very pretty very warm and not scary at all. There were three
around the big twin statues and lots of deer danced with me. It was snowing again and everything misty blue and the music felt like shivers and tickles and everything good at once. There seemed to be a lot of fawns around, mostly younger than me! So much wonderful and dancing and I fell asleep beside the statues with music in my head.
Almost as good as dancing is a tree down by the pond with pine cones that taste like magic. Everyone eats them and we all change our antlers, so many deer at once sometimes I can't tell who is doing magic on me or who I have done it on! One day down there was also the oldest deer I have ever seen. He was
grey with broken antlers and I wanted to give him new ones but it didn't work. He watched me and another fawn dance a long time though and he was so nice. He felt like slow music, peaceful but so beautiful with so much in it. Does your own music get more wonderful the longer you live? Does it add up layer on layer of all the things you have seen and done? I am always chasing my own music it's not always easy to hear but I hope I am right and it will grow bigger than me someday, like his.
When it got warmer we had rain instead of snow, and it gets under my fur worse. Snow is fun but rain is not. I spent a lot of time looking for other deer in the rain and it was so quiet, nothing but rain song. I ended up at the rocks, and there were a few deer hiding under one of the big slanted boulders, but then I started really listening to the music in the rain. I got in the middle of the biggest rock I could find and started dancing. Some deer showed up and danced with me, and then more,
and then more! Most of them
fell asleep or left after a little while but
one stayed and danced with me a long time.
The next day the rain had stopped and I found a lot of deer dancing in a big group, and
most of them were floating above each other! I feel bigger and stronger with every dance now and I hope I'll grow up soon and maybe be able to do the magic things adults do!
aw that's one sweet diary xD
hm and that other one... could be saosin but... i don't know ... just a guess o.o
I couldn't resist! Is it
Don't know on the other one, I guess I should upload a screencap and link it. The picto was similar to the Collector's and they both had skull masks and darkish pelts, and I'm still new at this.

I wasn't sure if he was expressing a deathwish or something, dancing at the Collector. I think my fawn isn't quite right in the head anyway...
