Biography

was brought into being long ago before the appearance of fawns, the creation of the Birch Forest, and the arrival of the Dark Lord/Big Zombie Deer. I like to think he was created the way all stags were created in those days: When the love and intentions of the Twin Gods settled upon the magical soil of the Forest, the divine energies condensed to form a stag from the dust.

He was brought into being on March 14, 2007.

is really myself operating in a virtual forest environment. I use my deer's pictogram, refer to my deer, and refer to myself interchanglibly, and I may use different references to suit the situation. I know that's not very imaginative, but it reflects the way I use this program: To engage in pure, wordless interaction. It's almost magical when many players are able to sync their behavior with one another despite the lack of verbal communication. I believe there's power in it. It's also a nice escape from the rigors of graduate school and the worries of everyday life.

I'm not as artistic as most people in this community, which makes me and pretty boring. In fact, I majored in a social science, psychology, and I'm currently working on a master's degree in applied cognitive psychology. Watching people interact is fascinating, and this program has provided me with 3+ years of observation. Every day is like engaging in participant observation of a social experiment.

I don't have a fancy profile page. doesn't have an epic background or biological family. I am what I am, and is what he is. We are each other.
