Apparanza is petite, but not a total runt of a doe. She has a lot of poise and gracefulness in her steps and movements. Her eyes are dual-colored: her left eye is an icy blue, and her right eye is a fiery amber. Her gaze will always reflect her feelings, and thus she is an absolutely horrible liar. Not that she lies, but if she ever did, it would be ridiculously obvious.

Her pelt is a silvery rose-gray with dark rose-gray markings and a lighter-silver underbelly. She has dark gray antelope-like antlers, slender but sharp, and a real deer face that is the same color as her body with lighter color around both eyes and on the insides of her ears. She is slender in build and very angelic, light on her hooves like a ballerina. Her tail is fluffy and has a white underside with a dark rose-gray top and her base pelt color in the middle.
Her hooves are the same color as her horns.

Apparanza is playful and humorous, and loves cheering others up. She believes herself to be the biggest dance fanatic in the Forest, and is commonly seen dancing, starting dances, and joining dances. When deer are sad or not feeling quite their best, Ranza will walk in front of them, get in place, and begin dancing in an effort to cheer them up a little or lift the mood. She is thoughtful and likes to observe things and others.

Apparanza is always looking out for everybody, happy to wait for the wounded or ill to catch up and traveling slowly with them to make them feel like they are noticed and loved~ She hates it when deer are left behind or left out - she'll do her best to include everybody. She also LOVES fawns, and is commonly seen playing with them.

Ranza isn't a fan of violence, but will defend herself and others if she sees it necessary. If any deer messes with one of her friends or a fawn, she's on them in a heartbeat. She will do everything in her power to help the good guys win, or drive off any enemies. She doesn't care about size or gender or anything - if a deer lifts a hoof against her friends, she'll make sure they regret it!

When she senses Rustar's pictogram in the Forest, she'll bow quickly to anyone she had been talking to and rush off to find him. She doesn't mean it to be rude or anything of the sort, but Rustar is her dearest <33 She might bring him over back to you to introduce/reunite, because she does feel bad about leaving so suddenly, but since Rustar is hesitant when it comes to strangers she may not.
When it comes to Rustar, not even death will tear her apart from him.

She is very protective of her friends and "family" - if anything happens to one of them, she'll do all she can to help. When she sets her mind to something, she becomes extremely determined and it is near impossible to turn her away.

Bow + Head Tilt {Curtsy}: Hello~! {used as greeting}

Sniff + Head Tilt: Are you all right? {used to make sure friends are all right, if they're injured or something}
- Who might you be?

Scratch: Follow me~!
- Scratch + Nod or Scratch + Nod + Head Tilt: Would you like to lie down here with me?

{Action} + Nod: Used when she wants another deer to do something.

Roar: I'm over here~! {used mainly for signaling to others where she is}
- If she roars multiple times in quick succession, it's a distress call because she's in trouble.

Roar + Shake Head or Roar + Rear + Shake Head: STOP! {used usually when trying to stop a fight}

Antler: Go away {used if a deer is threatening or attacking her/a friend and she's trying to defend herself/her friends}

Taunt: Think you can take us? {used only in groups if a deer is trying to harm any of her friends - she'll never taunt a deer alone in fear of being injured}
- Also used as a warning if another deer is using threatening actions.

Back Away, Cower: P-please go away... {used if a large stag is attacking her and she's afraid, or if multiple deer are attacking/taunting her friends at once and she feels outnumbered/surrounded}
- Cower: I-I'm frightened... {used if she's afraid of something - often done at the edge of the Pond because she's afraid of it due to multiple suicide/deaths there and an incident in the past}

Sniff, Nod: Nice to meet you~! {used usually after a bow/curtsy and she's curious about the stranger}

Head Tilt: I don't understand. {used when she doesn't understand the actions of another deer}
- What's wrong? {when she's concerned if another deer shows fear or uneasiness}

Sad + Head Tilt + Nod: I'm very sorry, do you forgive me? {used as an apology}

Nuzzle: If done once, she's greeting a friend; if done multiple times, that means she really loves them {usually done multiple times only to Rustar, sometimes really really close friends}

Sad + Bow: I must leave now... {used if I have to get off the computer or am changing deer}


Others are self-explanatory... laugh is when she thinks something's funny, etc. She will dance a lot, however, for dancing is her passion! She's not called "The Dancing Doe" for nothing! xD

On a 6th of June, Apparanza was born. It was a moonlit summer night when she decided to come into the world, and had no problems during the birthing whatsoever. She was a perfectly fine, healthy fawn, so many will wonder why her mother left her alone afterwards. There was no reason that she would do such a thing; Apparanza wasn't abnormally small, there were no complications, no irregularities mentally or physically... her mother simply abandoned her. Many think the mother had some mental dysfunction that led her to leave her newborn fawn alone in a clearing, vulnerable to predators, weather, and starvation.

Another doe by the name of Siiya happened to be taking her usual nightly Forest stroll. She heard continuous calls, calls from a fawn, and fear for the little one struck her. She followed the sound and came upon little Ranza, curled up by a tree and scared to death by the shadows and anything else that moved.

Siiya adopted Ranza and cared for her. Her fawn had been taken by wolves, so she had plenty of milk to offer the fawn. She taught Ranza the ins and outs of the forest, showing her different parts of it, and taught her how to dance. Soon Apparanza was able to survive independent from milk, and Siiya felt proud that she had succeeded in raising the fawn well so far.

And then it happened.

Apparanza had been dancing for Siiya, and just finished. The fawn bowed, and Siiya cheerfully praised her and told her how amazing it was - the fawn made beautiful music!

And then there was a growl.

Low, at first. Siiya believed it to be wind or a small forest creature. Ranza didn't even hear it.
And then it got louder.
Ranza heard it now, and her grin began fading. Siiya's ears were pricked and the doe was frozen, listening, green orbs wide and flickering.

And then it leaped.
And Siiya was no more.

Ranza hid behind a tree in some bushes while the large wolf wasn't paying attention. The fawn, who just seconds ago had been dancing for her foster mother and having so much fun, was now devoid of any positive emotion. Glee was replaced with terror, pride replaced with grief. The fawn had never witnessed such a vulgar, violent happening ever in her life.

An hour or so later, the wolf was full. All that remained of Siiya was a skeleton. Ranza had been transfixed with a mixture of horror and fear that paralyzed her and prevented any moving. She could not scream, she could not run, she could do nothing at all! Nothing but watch her dear foster mother be killed and eaten, and hear the agonized screaming of the doe and no other deer nearby to help her.

The wolf left. Ranza was still frozen in time, and remained that way for many hours. Just staring at the cleaned bones of her foster mother.

When at last the fawn regained control over her body, she found that she couldn't scream or cry. All the fear she had felt during Siiya's demise had been at such a degree that it had absorbed all the tears that could have fallen and all the noise that could have been emitted. Ranza felt like she was in a dream - a nightmare - rather than in reality. She felt numb. Her mind refused to comprehend what had happened before her eyes.

Ranza felt herself move. Maw lowered, picked up a bone, and walked all the way to the Ruin. Buried the bone. Returned for another bone. Buried it. Returned for another. Buried it.
This continued until Siiya's whole skeleton was buried. Ranza carved a cross into the soil above where her beloved foster mother's bones lay.

Days passed. Apparanza was cheered up by new deer, to the point where she regained full mental health. She, of course, would never forget the horror of that night, and never forget dear Siiya. But, as young as she is, knew that Siiya would want her to move on, and so she has.

She has met a couple deer in the forest, good and bad. She hopes to meet many more in the future, and make as many alliances as she can.
In one of her travels, she experienced rain for the first time. Along with that rain came the Dead Fawn, whom she met and named 'Flower'.

Apparanza became full grown, and is reveling in the joys of being an adult. She loves spellspamming and being spellspammed, even though she's finally gotten her desired set.

However, her brother somehow found her in the Forest on July 12, 2009, and revealed the truth about Apparanza's real family. The reason why she was abandoned that fateful night. Not only did he tell her the harsh reality, but he also left her some bad wounds.

After some encouraging and wise words from Dag, Apparanza felt better about herself and her spirits lifted. Unfortunately from her wounds she had to skip the dance party, but healing was swift and she was completely healed before she knew it.

She met Rustar with Dag and Oseaan, surprised that he seemed a little aggressive. Ranza thought that he was just afraid, and reacting off of that. She glanced back at Dag and Oseaan, who had continued their strolling, and she turned to look forward again at Rustar. He seemed a bit more relaxed, and she came to the conclusion that he just wasn't a fan of crowds. Slowly he seemed to relax further, even joining her in hopping circles as well as dancing.

Since that meeting, the two found each other many, many times and became closer and closer each reunion. It slowly became apparent to Ranza that Rustar seemed to be hiding a certain thing. She didn't know what, and didn't want to pry, so she kept her curiosities to herself and decided to observe his behavior closer in order to figure out what was going on with him.

And then she realized just what it was, as the nuzzling and cuddling escalated.

Rustar was in love with her.

He didn't have to say a thing. She knew that he loved her. Memories of Siiya came flooding back and she remembered the time when her dear foster-mother told her that, when the time came, she would find The One. The One she would spend the rest of her life with, someday.

"But... but Siiya, how will I know who 'The One' is?"
"You will know, little Ranza. You will know."
"But how??"
"Trust me, my dear. You will know."

And so she did.

A few months later, she disappeared without a warning of any kind. Rustar was unprepared for this and missed her greatly, knowing not where she was.
But she was somewhere.
Somewhere not many would have expected to find her.
Somewhere where she wasn't supposed to be found. She was in danger.

But by some miracle, Rustar found her and saved her from potentially drowning.
By some curse, her brother survived the storm-violent Pond.
And he won't leave without a fight.

More months passed, and it turned to spring. Aware of the season situation with Iaurdagnire, the doe grew more and more wary. When it finally hit, Apparanza joined innumerable other deer to create chaos and noise to bring him back from the Sprint Spirit.

It was a very intense and emotional struggle, but in the end the deer managed to bring him back home. Despite her hoarse throat and sore hooves, Ranza's joy at his return could not be portrayed with words.
