     | Welcome to the skull painting parlour! Here you can request skull masks for your deer to be painted up, free of charge! This all started up years ago to make sure everyone has a cool skull to wear once the Big Zombie Deer comes in the forest for halloween. It's very simple, on the left you see 5 skulls, a moose, jacob's sheep, crocodile, horse, and human. All you have to do is tell me which skull you'd like to be painted, and a reference of your character. I will then paint the skull to go with your reference! In the little tab titled "2019" you can see the skulls done last year. If you'd like me to keep something specific in mind because you want to match it up with an in-game mask, or you want it to fit with the theme of your deer, just let me know. This year I am not drawing add-ons, or adding more skull variations. Feel free to remove jaws or edit the skull any way you like though! What can I do with the skull? Anything you want! But please don't sell it rofl. The image otherwise is entirely free for you to do with as you like. Do we have to roleplay? Nop! You can just request a skull for your character without any IC interaction too. But we're up for both. Whichever you feel like. But please give me a link to a bio or a link to a reference image to work with, and your choice of skull. Any limits? Riinah had not been in the Forest for quite some time, but had heard inklings and whispers that there was a certain artisan in the forest offering her skills in painting skulls and fixing them into masks. They still had quite a few ... interesting skulls lying about, and figured ah, why the hell not.
They approached Verve calmly and slowly, voice low, accent thick, a faint smile on their scarred face. "You're the maskmaker, right? Got a skull that I'd like fixin' into a warmask." They held up a rather odd looking skull, prehistoric in its features. It was noticeably cracked, worn, like it had been through hell and back. "Know it's in quite a state and needs a few repairs and changes so I brought what I hope is compensation, and some. Plus a few extra strips of leather in case you needed them." She extended her other hand, in it a bag of several hundred gold coins; a few small bird skulls, neatly wrapped for protection; two or three glittering beads encrusted with jewels; a few long, thick straps of leather; and a belt of healing potions, each labeled with their effects and strength. "Was going to bring a few furs for you, everyone loves those, but ahh ... can only carry so much at one time. Else I'd be lookin' like some sort of legendary beast with a mountain o' furs on my back, hah. Those'll come later." She set everything as carefully as she could on the ground below her, offering Verve another small smile. "Hope that isn't too difficult for ya to fix. I'll trust your judgement, so if it doesn't work out as well as a warmask, I'll still have somethin' pretty to look at."

Word had gotten around of the deer that was offering to paint skulls, and had finally reached Sage. Something about that struck the enchantress' curiosity, and she remembered similar talk of skulls being given away during the Rally earlier in the year. She could not resist this time, and went to search for the stranger who was making these.
Once she found the painter, the kirin introduced herself. "Good evening. My name is Sage, and I heard you were offering skull paintings. I really would love one, though I feel bad for not offering anything in return, so I wanted to bring some things of my own to the table. I can enchant, disenchant, or even create spell scrolls. If you were interested in anything like that, I would be more than happy to trade my services or an enchanted item I have in return for one." Her eyes wandered over what was being offered, gaze coming to rest on the horse's skull. "I quite like that one..."

i can't resistSage would love one of the horse skulls! As for color/theme requests, we're open to anything, but designs that lean into magic, water, or light themes would be fantastic. Greco-roman or nature inspired patterns maybe? If colors like deep blues, greens, copper, gold, or ivory are incorporated that would be really nice too. Definitely doesn't have to be everything all at once, but if anything helps, feel free to run with any idea you get or let me know if you have questions c:

AAaaaaaaa! Im SO sad i missed
Cautiously, a younger doe approaches the tall one. Her recent scars very noticeable and she seemed to be downtrodden. She had remembered her mother's skull, and knew she wanted one of her own. Recent events led her to believe she needed to be scary and toothy to stay safe. So here she was. Hooves shuffled nervously as she set down a small figure. It was all black with light grey spiderwebbing. It was shaped into a crude looking deer and it was clear it wasn't perfect. However, the obsidian stone trinket was hand made. Hoof made? Whatever. Alina sometimes dabbles in stone cutting.
"I brought you this trinket. I remember my mother mentioning you. I couldn't get the neck long or the legs tall, but I hope its still good."
Alina said. She was very shy about sharing her craft with others, but it was only fair.. Verve was sharing her craft, so why not a small exchange?
"If it's not too much trouble, could you paint a Crocodile skull for me? I want scary teeth so others might think twice about attacking."
Alina would like a croc skull. I'd love it if it matched her design, if its not too much of a pain, heh. Feel free to add your own flare or judgement on what would fit with her! ^^

A rather large and flashy creature slowly approached. His wings folded at his sides and his large feathered tail carefully out of the way. His head dipped in polite greeting to the tall doe. Though he was a newcommer to this forest, he had heard whispers of such a craft.
"Greetings, kind one. I have come to request a painted skull. I have a trade, as it only seems fair."
He spoke politely. He shook his antlers and an Amethyst Geode plopped out onto the ground. He thought geodes were pretty, so others might like them too!
"May I ask for a painted equine skull?"
For dis boy, I'd like the Horse skull to be in his colors, but patterning and design ill leave to you! ^.^
Ra-Sahet - Horse
Sometime later in the day, a miniscule doe will approach. Verve was already so tall, but to Ouro, she was even taller. The doe was very nervous and often looking around her. Ears twitching at every little sound. She had heard of Verve and her painted skulls. Ouro had been in this forest for some time, but she never had the nerve to seek one out.
"Hello.. Its not much.. but I brought you something.."
Ouro said and then took the simple but smooth stone from her back and nudged it toward Verve. Ouro did not have a craft, or another world she could go to to get fancy trinkets and baubles. So she brought what she could. An oblong and perfectly smooth grey stone. She thought it stood out due to it's smoothness.
Ouro looked up at Verve, hoping to not offend her with her meager gift. She had come in hopes to find something that might help her feel more confident. She didn't know what skulls were on offer, or what she wanted, so she started to look around. Then she saw the perfect skull!
"If it's alright, I would like to request a moose skull. But.. could you paint the antlers brown?"
The timid doe asked. It was all she wanted when she saw the moose skull.
Ouro would like a moose skull! If the antlers could be brown, that'd be perfect. Otherwise, using her design colors would be good. Maybe even some pale golds.
