I know you saw it. I'm not turning this into an argument but I do want to be heard and understood from my POV for once. Because just as i need to understand them, other players also need to understand me in return.

What you say is all true. And I DID learn there are unpleasant things. But I didn't come here for full-on everything-included roleplay. I came here for peaceful roleplay. I play differently and there's no rules that say I can't. you have deer that love to fight, you've got deer who mess around, and you've got the calm collected peaceful deer who avoid conflict. Just because another deer likes to play it rough doesn't mean I'm obligated to interact with them when it's against what I want for my character.

My character has a goal, has a plot line, that goes with her personality. And as Misako said, even OOC deer aren't fully non-roleplay because we're all playing as deer, even if it's plotless and open-ended with no specific character personality.

I DID try to view the mentality between the players, their characters, their mindsets and personalities, and not just with Misako either. She just had the unfortunate luck of being the first one, that's all. And when a player yells at me for being curious, new, and wording it wrong of COURSE it's gonna rub me the wrong way and get me upset, because that's not what I wanted. I wanted their view of their character so I could learn how they do it, their thought pattern, how it was developed. So of course I'm also gonna avoid the players who make me feel like it's a sin to be curious about character development.


But the only reason I brought it up was to show the point that what you and Misako said to Rhhya was what I was looking for back when I first posted on Misako's page....this whole thing could have been avoided if it were worded to me just like that to begin with. I love how you have Herla, with her vain side but at the same time everyone's healer and weak to attacks to balance everything out, I GET that.

As for Gehirn... "Well, it was a lone fawn without any seemingly guardian figures/parents, that looked like it could become a possible threat to any of his own future children. If it was to him he would've just picked Vittani up and broke her neck with a quick swing of his head. No nonsense, be done with it. I'd never do that to a character though, bit ridiculous, but it is a thought that goes on in his mind. If he has the chance to thin out the population of "danger", he surely would. Especially since with Vittani it seemed there was no risk of anyone "getting back at him".

The fact the character has such a hate towards fawns - regardless of his reason, which I'm slowly coming to accept - would not work well with Cali's personality. And he's not the only one, I've heard of several deer who go out and attack fawns just for the fun of it....and I know Cali wasn't a fawn but I was still a new player, still learning, had no interaction with anyone yet. I apologized for it, got my sister involved, was beside myself crying over it because I had upset Misako without meaning to. And never got an apology. That's the only thing I'm still getting over, but I got off-point again, which is something else I'm still learning.


My initial point was....I get it now...and I wish it had been put that way to me sooner and regardless of it all, at least from an ooc standpoint, Herla is an awesome well-made character. And I DO agree with what the two of you said to Rhhya....I tried to tell her those exact words myself in her RP thread.

08: It’s okay for you to not want certain interactions for you character. I definitely agree with that. Every player has the right to withdraw from any interaction that they deem inappropriate for themselves or even if it’s just something they don’t want to be a part of. We all have our lines that we don’t care to cross and that’s different for everyone. But I have to say, I have seen you going about the community going out of your way to bad mouth Misako over that interaction you had with her weeks ago now. That, my dear is simply not cool. To say it’s getting tiresome is putting it lightly. Let it go already and move on.

That bit you quoted Misako saying is taken out of context as well. The important point there is that “fawn” was a predator infant that Gehirn had concerns would grow up into a predator adult and later come back to threaten his family. It wasn’t mindless and without reason and was a very in-character response. Herla drove away the same “fawn” when it came near her family.

Look, you came here for fun. Nothing wrong with that. You don’t want certain interactions. Nothing wrong with that. If you have a disagreement with a player though, we shouldn’t bring it up on various blogs every time we can so we can air our dirty laundry about them. That’s probably not very good for you and it certainly is not going to do anything to engender positive responses from the person you are airing it about.

Yes, I had intended Ursula to wear the skull mask. But my good friend Global told me I couldnt obtain it until halloween. I have always pictured Ursula with the skull mask. It kinda fits with her 'insanity'
I do not mind if you want me to change the Orca mask into something different. I think she would need a new mask since tommorow she is finally going into Adulthood

Rhhya: That was a very brief interaction, Johan went to investigate what he thought was merely a mini fawn and withdrew quite quickly, VERY QUICKLY in fact, when he realized it was in actuality, a predator child. And Herla has no need to raise an attack dog, lol. She has Gehirn. And soon three grown sons. She’s got it covered.

Nettlebrier : That’s all totally up to you of course, what you want to do with your character’s mask. And OOC I am fine and friendly with anyone who is friendly in return. ^_^ Herla is a character though and is played as such in character. “Friendship” with her is earned and takes time. She’s a hard nut to crack. Just putting that out there so there are no hurt feelings when she’s not always nice and instantly welcoming.

08: Many months ago, on both Herla and Gehirn’s bio there where warnings that all unknown deer, including fawns (characters only of course) would be chased off when Herla was pregnant/lactating. I think that was before you ever joined the site though. Other than that I don’t know what you mean. Gehirn is not a mindless fawn killer. Never was. I also don’t know what would be the point of “screen capping” anything on his bio. I read it. I know what’s there. Pretty up to date on it really. Not sure what you are trying to convince me of here, so yeah, it doesn’t matter.

And yes, ultimately, the only person you can control is yourself. So make it count.

KokopelliDancer, hello it’s nice to meet you! Your fawn seems very cute. Herla is very much a character though, so it’s important to realize that with all interactions with her. I do hope you have fun on the game. Sometimes it is fun to let your character develop in response to the other characters they meet.

Wow!! I was just name searching for my little fawn and came upon the names Woden and Herla, studied up on them a bit. It's amazing how you took his story and transformed them to be characters in the Endless Forest, even incorporating the story to Herla's parents. Beautiful interpretation!

Herla had seen the small deer huddled a ways off, took her a while to recognize him as a playmate of her son, Johan. He was small, but larger than her, almost everyone was, “That’s fine, hopefully this rain doesn’t last too long,” she scooted a bit closer to her mate to make room for the other. Hopefully Gehirn wouldn’t get too aggravated with these small quarters too.
