TRACKING. :]
lily is done now
La had followed her nose,
It wasn't uncommon for deer to visit The Ruins, but it was unusual for La to see them taking refuge there when they were injured--or in this case, in the final stages of healing.
"Lala? La?" She asked. Who are you? You okay?
Lily shaked her fur again,
{Ah, she's not gifted of Kheiron's telepathic ninja skills :'D Also, her shelter is this, it's where another character of mine sleeps (the nightfall pelted random guy).}
La nodded vigorously, glad
A fan of both water and waterlilies, La felt a level of kinship with Lily, and made it a point to follow her about to see if she would do something fun or interesting. The fawn blinked in sync with the doe, mimicking out of affection.
((Está a partir de Portugal, sim? Fala bom Inglês. Eu aprendo alguma Português na escola. Eu sei algumas palavras.))
The young doe watched La's
"Sooo... let's see... what can we do to celebrate my recovery?..
I suppose we can give a walk around..." she said in a whisper of cumplicity, and winked innocently at the kind fawn "...looking for interesting facts in our inconstant forest? For example, I had never noticed this nice hideout before I needed it." Lilly looked behind at the entrance hidden by the two oaks, with a slightly confused expression.
{Ena, ena, não há muita gente a perceber essa linguagem por aqui! In fact, there are only 5 portuguese people playing tef, and some abandoned it long ago. My english isn't that good, I always keep a dicionary at reach |P}
La at once realized that the
Momentarily, she turned her attention back to the healing doe and grinned. There was nothing more grand than exploration and investigation. She flicked her tail and bounced about. Come with me! I will show you things! Her body language said.
Lilly thought she had never
"Well, well, seems like you know more about the subject than I do, mah little friend! Alright, I'll follow"
Forcing the rigid limbs forwards, she waited to see where La would take her.
It did not take long for La
In the loose dirt, she used her hoof to make rough drawings in front of each idol. A stag, identifiable by his antlers, was drawn in front of the largest idol. A doe was drawn in front of the medium-sized idol, and a fawn was added for the smallest idol. La turned to Lilly to show off her pictures.
{Sorry for not answering for
Lilly approached behind her, watching the fawn scratching on the earth. She was dying of curiosity; what could the fawn be doing? When she turned to her, the grey doe looked over La's shoulder.
What she saw surprised her alot.
One for each idol, a symbol representing deers was engraved on the ground. She looked to La. "You... you made these?" and approached to exhamine them from closer. She had never seen a deer doing something so accurate with the hooves, specially a fawn. It was obvious that her new friend wasn't a regular fawn.
From closer, she could see the association between the size of the statues and the deers. One of the deers had antlers; the bigger idol. Her brain started working out the information furiously.
~The biggest deer has antlers... must be a male... and it's also the biggest idol, it makes sense... so the others must be females, no, wait, these are smaller! And this idol is smaller too... I think I get it...~ Lilly shaked the head, the feathers she was wearing that day whistling with the movement.
"Let me see if I got it right... this big idol represents a male, is that correct? And this is a female, and the smaller one is... younger. Ah, fawn?" A male, a female and a fawn. Suddenly it made sense. She smiled, proud of passing the test, and even more curious about her friend. "So, are these big ones the parents? Hey, how did you come up with that?"
(No problem, I know how it
La nodded--yes, the statues were a family. Lilly's other question had been unexpected, and La didn't know the answer. How had she come up with that? She tilted her head and folded her ears back. A small frown pulled at the corners of her mouth. "La-a-a," I don't know. It had just seemed natural to her than two larger statues and one small one represented a family, and even though she was unfamiliar with the ins and outs of families herself, she had read and observed a great deal. Sometimes La liked to sit between the mother and father statues, but she usually did that when alone.
She tapped a hoof against the father statue, a little sad that it was only rock. The fawn took a few steps back so she was next to Lilly, and admired her artwork in the dirt.
Lilly noticed La's expression
Returning the attention to the drawings, she thought it would probably be stamped and erased by dancing hooves at any time after they left. Stretching the left hoof over the loose dirt, she digged a clumsly border around it, and pushed some stones to the spaces between the idols, so passerby deers would look at the ground twice before stepping on it. "There! It should last longer now!" she said to La in a somewhat respectful tone. Suddenly she jumped onto the mother idol and then to the father idol, standing on this last one to glance at the landscape, a perfectly serious sentinel... whose effect was broken by a cheerful laughter she threw downwards.
"It's a niiice view up here... although I prefer trees... what are we going to do now, my little master?"
La looked at her work (her
When the doe jumped upward, La jumped back in surprise. Caught in her own world of drawing deer in the dirt, the sudden and unexpected movement frightened her. She watched the adult's nimble movement, and wanted to join, but was not very good at jumping or climbing. She had four left hooves, so to speak.
She darted to the child statue because she knew she was dexterous enough to balance upon its top. After a second or two of psyching herself up, she leaped and successfully found herself mounted on the child's head. She gave a smug, sideways glance to Lilly, but didn't know what to do next. La often felt lost when prompted, and many times she felt more comfortable following than leading.
Lilly looked at La's nearly
Suddenly, Lilly had an idea, and turned the face with a wicked grin under amused black eyes, that seemed to reflect blue shines out of nowhere.
"Have you ever heard of a game called... SpellsTag?"
{
Oh twin gawds got to go sorry I finish tomorrow D:Sorry for that, I was about to get grounded and I couldn't write under pressure finished now}La quirked an eyebrow,
To answer Lilly, she jumped off the little statue and pranced as if running in place. "La!" she said excitedly. I'd certainly like to try.
She tilted her head, ears flopping. In an unsure voice, she continued, "lala la." But I don't know how.
This time, Lilly didn't need
"Hey, no problem, it's really easy! I can teach you as we play!" she said, as she landed on the soft earth. Now that she had warmed up, she felt like she had enough energy to run up the Old Oak and jump down safely. With a fast rear in the direction of the hill that she often used as a "this way" gesture, Lilly started running towards the lights in the horizon.
La bolted after Lilly,
As soon as the pine forest
She turned her head to La. Lilly was just a few centimetres taller than the fawn, but somehow the magic sticked on the short doe like on an adult. She sneezed the magic jet-black round mask, so she could talk while cutting the air more easily. The black eyes on her blindingly white face reflected the blue of the sky.
"Like I said, Spells-Tag is ridiculously easy!" she shouted over the whistle of the wind "The Spell-Stag, who obviously can be a spell-doe or in this case spell-fawn, prays until they get the hallowed devotee pelt."
"Then, you pursuit the other players and try casting on them. If you lose the spell by mistake, just make a gesture or something, aaand... pray for it again!"
"If your pelt fades before you cast on someone... well... it's your turn again! But, if you cast... on someone... they become... the... Spell-Stag!" she finished, wheezing for saying so much at such speed.
{Why, I always write toooo much D: to the point that I confuse myself.
Lawl, I just made up that thing of Spell-Stag xD Everyone just says "tag"}
La flinched a little when
The fawn absorbed the rules of the game quickly enough. She liked chasing games, and decided that this would be an excellent one to try. When the twin statues came in to view, La slowed her approach and climbed the small hill on which they sat. She had mixed feelings about the statues--one the one hoof, the Twin Gods had proven time and again that they were benevolent beings. On the other hoof, the statues' staring faces and foreign markings made them intimidating. La lowered her head and bowed to them.
At first she wasn't certain that the spell was working, but soon she felt a tingle in her nose and ears that spread through her body to her feet and tail. Standing up, she found herself to be snowy white.
Lilly waited a few metres
La's white ears flicked
It wasn't often that La played here, but Lilly seemed familiar with the area, as La was with The Ruins. Of course, by the nature of the game one could not play spell tag unless they were near the Twin Gods (or, La supposed, near the Crying Idol if you wanted to play red spell-tag). She bounded after Lilly, for now only following to see where the doe was headed.
Looking behind only once to
La was not nimble enough to
The nearest lilypad, the one Lilly taunted her from, was a good body length away from La's pad. She jumped for it gracelessly, and managed to land on the edge.
Lilly hopped shortly of her
She laughed with joy and surprise. It felt great to find another deer who felt so natural within the element water.
"Ohh well, guess ya got me! Alrighty, I recognize my defeat, cast that on me!"
La very nearly slipped from
{I noticed she's grown up
Lilly stood on the waterlilly for some more seconds, watching the now brown fawn sprinting towards the green hill, untill the veil of light that covered her head vanished and told her that the magic had sticked. She couldn't avoid glancing at her image in the water, missing the moment that La tripped.
And then she started running.
Lilly was quite faster than a fawn. Actually, she was much faster and had more energy than average does, but La had the «surprise factor» on her side, and Lilly's speed couldn't beat good strategies.
She kept running, feeling the moist wind hitting her fur, as she galloped nearly a quarter of the distance from the fawn since La had started running.
Jesus christ was it you that
"No way! It... it wasn't
Aparently you missed it when she changed Kheiron's set to hers >:D
