I am a dreamer, and this is my disclaimer:

If I have an affinity for fish
if I have a knack for deer
if I have an understanding of just the way a sunbeam falls on a leaf

It's because I am inspired with those ideas.
If you want to coax something out of me...
as so many art teachers have tried...
All you need to do is inspire me.

Get in to my inner clockwork and jam up the gear.
Jam up the gear that cranks out the million ideas with one single thought and that will set me off.
That tick-tock will stop and I will begin to frantically move.

My hand will dance along paper or keyboard to compose what it is you have jammed my mind with.
I will smear and scratch and groan until the pinnacle has been reached.
Then I will run away with your idea.

Don't tell me I cannot have your ideas. I will run away with them and make them my own.

I will release them and watch the water slide over their scales.
I will watch them run free and dive in to comforting thickets of consciousness.
I will gaze upon their beauty and know that they aren't perfect.

I will make them my perfect.
