This was meant to be a “quick” emotive piece…4 hours later.

I love the way orange reacts with purples and blues.

Honestly, to me, that is pretty damn fast. XD I couldn't dream of painting something that amazing in four hours; it would take me more than a day for sure. That being said, this is a beautifully done piece! I especially enjoy the the contrasting colors, and how the more simplistic aspects of the background are mixed in with finer details. c:

I really tried to MAKE myself keep this rough. I could easily spent another 10 hours refining various parts. I promised myself I wouldn't do that though. Marathon art sessions, while fun, send me to my medicine cabinet for pain meds. Stupid spine!

My husband just bought me a nice adjustable desk chair that seems to be helping but yeah, when you sit for 10 hours with your shoulder’s hunched over a tablet and your neck craned at an unnatural angle, the body doth protest. Why do we think we have to climb into the screen like that? Haha!

He always tells me to take breaks. And I’m like, “NO, no breaks! Must draw!” LOL!

Lol, oh my god! Ten straight hours sitting like that...there would be no way I could recover from such a thing! D8 That is true dedication right there! Admittedly, I have to force myself to take breaks, but when I'm on a creative streak it's pretty much impossible. I'll have to look into chiropractors in a few years, for sure! And, seriously, my face is practically part of the screen sometimes! XD
