The Little Orphan

Cedric's History

Cedric is a orphan fawn. His mother was young, inexperienced, and settled in an area unable to sustain a nursing doe and fawn. His father was most likely a rogue. The bitter cold was her undoing and Cedric has some guilt regarding her death. If only he had eaten less? Without a herd he wandered. He became a malnourished fawn. Although he is not of any particularly impressive lines, he was blessed with tall parents and has inherited their height, though as a runt believes he is destined to be small. Of his markings, the only noticeable one is a fleck of blue in the iris of his left eye. His rather ordinary looks can make him jealous of more flashy deer. As a result he tends to adorn himself with moss, flowers, etc. to make himself stand out. Although usually, the poor dear looks like something in need of a grooming.


He's the type of fawn to play and skitter around, then crash and nap. His adventurous personality can get him in tough spots. As an adult, he will mellow to a snail's pace, but for now he's full of energy. He tries his best not to disturb other herds or resting deer.
