Mama, my kite is stuck!
The little child jumped beneath the tree helplessly, clumsy hands not coming near the spreading branches.
The child's mother merely shook her head and offered words of comfort and promises of a new one.
teary eyed the child sat, crying softly, tears rolling over plush cheeks.
Nearby a pair of red and blue eyes watched the young human.
What is the matter little one?
It didn't understand, she knew, and still comfortingly the doe moved the child's hair, made it flutter as she moved, breeze moving like tendrils to dry falling tears.
Do not cry my dear
slender legs plucking over the grass.
effortlessly she twirled through the branches, the leaves swirling, fluttering down when she touched them with just a little too much force.
spiraling, twirling she took the kite gently within her blustery caress, walking delicately back to the earth below, where gently she settled herself down.
The small girl sniffled, standing to take her kite.
Mama, the wind blew my kite back down!
released again, holding the string tighter this time.
ah, look at it fly!
The doe smiled down, dancing with the diamond in the sky.
