Occasionally they'll be all nice and happy, but if you make one wrong move (unknowingly) she/he apparently holds a grudge and will angry emote you, chase you and entice you to chase him/her.

not entirely though.
That deer's been harassing Envy and Lust for over two weeks, and then Joro, a new but close friend of Lust, got all pissed, so we had a deer brawl against this one deer on monday.

Then today, this same deer tried to greet my deer, acting all topsy turvy, but Joro didn't bow,
then the deer got angry and tried to maul her, and failed epicly.
